Sonia Gandhi Responded To KTR’s Tweet!

Share

It seems Telangana IT and Industry minister KT Rama Rao’s recent tweet to Telangana Congress Incharge Digvijay Singh to retire from active politics has got response.

AICC President Sonia Gandhi has removed Digvijaya from the post of Telangana Congress Incharge and replaced him with AICC Secretary R Khunthia. Another senior leader Satish Jarkiholi has been appointed secretary in charge.

AICC high command was unhappy on the performance of Digvijay who led the party in 2014 elections in Telangana and also Andhra Pradesh. The party bite the dust in the last election. Congress was struggling hard in Andhra Pradesh as the most of the party leadership shifted their loyalties to ruling TDP and BJP. The recent increased group politics had already weakened the party.

Eyeing 2019 elections, Khuntia has been entrusted to lead the party and strengthen Congress from gross root level in the next two years. Sources said that swift political developments would also take place in the state Congress as many leaders are vying for TPCC Chief post in the next two months.

Puri Wants to Become Balayya Fans Association President

Share

I am so big a fan of Balayya Babu that if there was a ‘Balayya fans association’ in Jubilee Hills, I would definitely be its President – these are the words uttered by director Puri Jagannath.

Balayya Babu’s ‘Paisa Vasool’, a gangster-entertainer film directed by Puri is slated for release on September 1. After creating a new trend by releasing the film’s teaser as ‘Stumper’, Puri has planned some unique promotions for the movie. For that, Puri and film’s producer V Anand Prasad convened a meeting with all district presidents of Balayya’s fans associations on Tuesday.

During the meet, Puri divulged that he didn’t know why he took so long to work with Balayya. ‘I feel blessed to finally work with Balayya Babu, and I want to work him again and again. I was already a fan of Balayya and I became his huge fan while working for Paisa Vasool. I even want to become president if there was a fans association of his in Jubliee Hills,’ said Puri.

Producer Anand Prasad said that they have planned to give scholarships to 101 poor students to mark the 101st film of Balayya.

Allu Arjun Starting Shoot Half Heartedly?

Share

From today, the shooting of Allu Arjun’s latest movie “Na Peru Surya” is kicking off in Hyderabad as writer Vakkantam Vamsi is gearing up to hold the mike for the first time as a director. Though this film is going on to sets today, our mega hero is said to be starting it only half heartedly and he will be happy with the second schedule. There is a reason behind this.

Other than changing hair styles, even Allu Arjun also hasn’t done anything physically to his body or changed his avatar drastically for his recent films. But in the coming days, we have films like Jai Lava Kusa and Rangasthalam 1985 that are portraying the lead heroes in a different look altogether. Jr NTR is using even prosthetic makeup to look different for one of the roles, while Ram Charan changed his body language and look completely for Sukumar’s movie. Looking at the way these two transformed themselves, it’s heard that Allu Arjun felt he is inching behind.

A rumour mill suggested that this talented hero is starting the shoot today half-heartedly only for the fact that dates of other actors will be wasted. Actually, he wanted to kick-start the shoot only after modifying his body to a new look under the guidance of USA based trainer. While Arvind was the one who got this USA plan foiled as he felt like bringing the trainer here is the best way to do, now Arjun might take a month or more to fully alter his looks. But before that, his director want to finish some scenes.

Putting emphasis on physical looks for each film is what people like Amir Khan are doing from a time and impressing audiences. Glad to see Tollywood going that way.

Sunny’s Condom Ad Debate In Assembly

Share

The recent and popular condom advertisement featuring the Bollywood’s most-sought Sunny Leone is not just the most-talked one among usual TV viewers, but the sensational ad has been subject of discussion in state assembly too. Read on…

A congress MLA from Goa – St. Andre Francis Silveira, who sought the consent of assembly speaker Pramod Sawant to use the word ‘condom’ in house, has demanded a ban on condom advertisements, featuring the former porn-star Sunny Leone, in all the buses run by state transport corporation.

Raising the protest against such condom advertising in buses, the opposition party legislator slammed the state government and asked for a ban on them immediately. As part of a deal signed between the condom company & Kadamba Transport Corp, the buses are displaying those ads.

Silveira said that since these buses will be used by students, ‘such advertisements should not be displayed, it shames us’. He further added that – ‘What are these ads telling Goans. Students use buses… Goans use the bus.’

All eyes are on Samsung’s next-generation device dubbed as the Galaxy Note 8. But it appears like there are more devices in the offing, and one of them is the Galaxy C7 (2017). The launch of the mid-range device is imminent as its support page has gone live.

The South Korean technology giant is tight-lipped on the Galaxy C7 (2017) but the support page for the handset is live on its China page, giving a hint that its release may not be far off. The device has already received from Bluetooth, WiFi, and TENAA (from Chinese telecom equipment certification authority)  certifications ahead of its launch.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 (2017) is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display, powered by an octa-core processor clocking at 2.39GHz, runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system, and comes packed with a 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage.

The handset is also expected to mount a dual 13MP+5MP main-camera and a 16MP front-snapper, and houses a 2,850mAh battery.

It may be mentioned that the Galaxy C7, released in 2016, has a 5.7-inch full HD super AMOLED screen with 1,920×1,080 pixels (386 ppi pixel density), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system, a 32/64GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), and a 4GB RAM. It also mounts a 16MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture and an 8MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture, and houses a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

OnePlus 5 Review: A Cure For Expensive Smartphones

Share

OnePlus started its journey back in 2014 and in just three years the company is eyeing for the crown. The company’s consumer-first strategy has worked wonders for the brand, but will it go on?

Challenging the tech giants Apple and Samsung, OnePlus launched its 2017 flagship OnePlus 5 in India and around the world in June. Following mixed reviews from consumers and critics, OnePlus 5 laid a firm base on which the company will continue its disruptive journey ahead. The smartphone was also the best selling smartphone during the Amazon Prime Day sale in India last month, and that level of recognition doesn’t come without a reason.

While we watched the OnePlus 5’s success ever since it landed in the market, we stayed committed to pushing the handset to the limits. International Business Times, India, inspected the bundle of features that OnePlus so-proudly showed-off at the launch event during a four-week period.

OnePlus 5 had its stream of “WOW” moments along with some “Oh snap” cries. In this review, we are going to show both sides of the phone that will determine its worth to many potential buyers.

Wow-factors

To begin with, OnePlus 5 packs more than one great specs to make it an absolute beast. What we truly loved about this phone is its capability to perform at its best no matter what. Of course, we have the Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 8GB RAM to thank for, but the optimization of the software to carry out the most difficult tasks with ease is impressive.

Other features that will woo its users include the super-fast fingerprint scanner with 100 percent accuracy, low-light portraits, snappy UI, and a reliable battery with Dash Charge 3 charger.

Amiss

Details matter. Overall the OnePlus 5 doesn’t seize to impress. But if we look closely, the phone gives a miss on certain occasions. For instance, the camera is great on its own. The dual camera setup at the back helps with portraits and the primary lens truly justifies low-light imaging and macro shots. However, the framing remains a concern while shooting landscapes and videos as the lens is not as wide as other phones (iPhone 7 Plus for instance). This forces users to adjust the framing by panning out, which may not be practical under all circumstances.

Besides the camera, we find the design to be traditional. While a lot of people criticised the OnePlus 5, saying it looks like an iPhone 7 Plus, we did not find any reason to look down on that. There may be a few similarities, the rear camera portion to be precise, but OnePlus has added its unique touches in every nook and corner of the phone.

Design

Carefully designed to cater to the majority, OnePlus 5 is one of the most practical phones in terms of usability. It’s compact, but not too small, stylish but not too loud and keeps the minimalistic quotient in check.

The aluminium unibody shell gives OnePlus 5 the armour it needs to stand against the rivals, but we found the casing to be light and thin. That’s not a bad thing at all, as it helped the maker keep the phone sleek at 7.25mm and light at 153g, which adds to the practical use-case.

The “do not disturb” slider with three modes is unique to OnePlus 5 and the single speaker grille at the bottom makes sound loud enough to be audible in a noisy room. At the bottom, we also find the USB Type-C port and the physical home button below the display hasn’t disappeared and still houses the fingerprint scanner.

Display

In all fairness, we were disappointed when the OnePlus 5 was launched with a Full HD resolution screen measuring 5.5 inches. While most found it to be a letdown for a smartphone claiming to be a “flagship killer,” it makes sense in the real world.

The phone’s display has various customisation options to fit the needs of users at different times. The most basic is the adaptive brightness, which adjusts according to the surrounding light and the sensors work efficiently. There’s also night and reading mode, which work one at a time.

The night mode is great for watching movies, playing games, using social media in dim-lit areas to reduce strain on the eyes. The reading mode is quite unique, which lets you add apps that automatically switch to paper-like look when launched. For instance, we had the Kindle app set for reading mode by default and it launches the app in black and white without us having to do it every time. You can also add news apps and more similar apps which involve a lot of reading and save battery as well as strain on eyes.

While many users might ignore this, but the screen calibration has options that will push your Full HD screen to its limits. The default setting is ideal, but there’s also sRGB and DCI-P3 colour profiles to add the extra punch of colours to the images. For using under brighter conditions, the DCI-P3 comes in handy, while the sRGB gives you a faded taste if that’s what you prefer.

OnePlus clearly did not invest much into the display, but the next category certainly did attract a lot of company’s attention.

Camera

We know where all the money went. OnePlus 5’s camera got the company’s undivided attention. The dual camera on the rear, manufactured in collaboration with DxO Labs, combines a 16MP f/1.7 primary sensor with a 20MP f/.26 telephoto lens to produce detailed images. At least, that’s what the spec-sheet tells us.

So we took OnePlus 5 for a test run and we must say the phone surprised us on many occasions. The most impressive part of the OnePlus 5’s camera is the phone’s capability to shoot detailed macro images, even in challenging light conditions. We had a bit of an issue with focusing in low lights, but the Pro Mode comes in handy.

The Portrait mode, which uses both lenses, creates a Bokeh-effect, which we appreciated until compared with iPhone 7 Plus. Unlike the Apple’s flagship, the OnePlus 5 allows portrait shots even in dim-lit conditions when the iPhone 7 Plus simply asks to try with better lighting.

Another disappointment in the camera is the loss of detail and true colours in low-lighting conditions. We also noticed ghosting effect in many photos shot during the day. But the 1X, 2X default zoom options can help you get lossless images even when you zoom. This is a great feature when you are not closer to the subject and unable to identify how much you can zoom to keep the pixels intact.

OnePlus 5’s primary lens doesn’t capture the subject entirely like the iPhone 7 Plus from the same distance. The lens is not as wide as its rivals, which makes it difficult to get the desired framing without panning.

Despite the shortcomings, OnePlus 5 makes a winning argument with night shots. You can capture the beautiful landscapes of the city with default mode and elevate the results with Pro Mode. If your photos find home in social media, OnePlus 5 isn’t a disappointment at all.

We have to side with the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of better photo results. However, videos produced using OnePlus 5 in 720p, Full HD and 2K resolution are up to the mark. The audio is captured in its true form to add value to your video, be it an interview or a concert.

Shifting the focus to the front camera, selfie lovers will find some photos oversaturated under bright lights. In low-lights, the OnePlus 5 camera with its screen flash can save the day. End of the day, your selfies shot on OnePlus 5 will get you equal number of “hearts” on Instagram and “likes” on Facebook.

Following strong speculations that universal hero Kamal Haasan may take a plunge into active politics in Tamil Nadu, Congress senior leader and Veteran film Heroine Khushbu extended her support to him.

As a Congress leader, Khushbu has been active in Tamil politics and strong disciple of AICC President Sonia Gandhi. However, defying Congress high command instructions to maintain restraint, Khushbu tweeted her support to Kamal Haasan if he joined politics.

Kamal created flutter in Tamil Nadu politics by making some sensational comments in the recent past. The hero has been in the eye storm recently for making derogatory comments in the Bigg Boss program hosted by him in a Tamil news channel.

Afghanistan: At Least 29 Killed In Attack On Shi’ite Mosque In Herat

Share

A suicide attack on a Shi’ite mosque in the western Afghan city of Herat killed more than 29 people and wounded more than 64 on Tuesday, officials said.

More than 1,700 civilians have been killed in attacks in Afghanistan so far this year, hitting confidence in the Western-backed government of President Ashraf Ghani.

Abdulhai Walizada, a local police spokesman, said there appeared to be more than one attacker on Tuesday, with witnesses describing a suicide bomber who detonated explosives and at least one other, a gunman who threw grenades at worshippers.

“Two attackers entered the mosque and started shooting and throwing grenades at people,” said Mohammad Adi, a worshipper at the mosque who was injured in the attack and taken to hospital.

Mohammad Asif Rahimi, governor of Herat, said at least 29 people were killed and 64 wounded in the incident which came two months after an attack on a 12th century mosque known as the Jama Masjid in Herat, in which seven people died.

There was no claim of responsibility. But the Taliban, fighting to install strict Islamic law and drive foreign troops out of Afghanistan, denied any involvement.

Ghani, whose government has been under mounting pressure because of deteriorating security across the country, condemned the bombing and called on religious scholars to “raise their voices against the terrorist attacks”.

Afghanistan has traditionally been relatively free of the sectarian violence common in Iraq or Syria but hardline Sunni militants from the local branch of Islamic State have repeatedly attacked the mainly Shi’ite Hazara minority in the past year.

The latest attack comes as the US administration considers sending more troops to Afghanistan to bolster the NATO-led coalition advising and assisting Afghan security forces.

After 48 Cuts, What’s Left to Release?

Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is being criticized for it’s decisions since a year and it actually started with Udta Punjab censor. CBFC Chairman Pahlaj Nihalani is not taking his step back in certifying and cuts for Hindi films by his rules and yet again, the Censor Board is giving tough time for a new movie after it refused to certify ‘Lipstick Under my Burkha’ first.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is being forced to have around 48 cuts, when presented before Censor board. If the film loses 48 cuts, we really doubt what really is left to keep the essence of the film? The makers have to bend down for CBFC’s demands and go ahead with the suggested cuts to get a certificate or they can approach revising committee or the FCAT to get the film certified. The release date is announced to be August 25 and we have to see if the film makes it to theatres finally, like Lipstick Under My Burkha underwent lot of struggle to hit screens.

The movie has been staying in controversies since it’s start when Chitrangada Singh walked out as she found the scenes too intimate. Bidita Bag stepped in her place and that’s when the cast manager Sanjay Chouhan commented on failing to cast fair and handsome actors for Nawazuddin.

Fidaa Girl Showing Artificial Pimples?

Share

Other day when some fans have caught beautiful Tamil girl Sai Pallavi hopping in the shopping mall area of Hyderabad’s international airport, they are stunned to see her natural beauty. And then they started wondering if she’s so cute and adorable without makeup in real life, how come she’s looking harsh with acne (pimples on face) in the runaway hit “Fidaa”?

One could feel the pinch inside the film that Sai Pallavi appeared with acne look most of the time in the movie. During the filming of her debut film Premam, her director was said to have asked to wear that acne look as that’s more natural and sexy as well. And now, our beautiful girl is said to be continuing the same look for other films.

But it looked like she wore more pimples intentionally in Fidaa, by pinking up the area with makeup for the movie. Otherwise, in real life, she’s not having such huge acne covering her right cheek, while her left cheek looks naturally tender. And the rumour is that she wore more of those pimples to bring more sex appeal to the Bhanumati character.

There is another version, however, which says that Sai Pallavi got her acne removed through laser technology post the shooting of Fidaa. They say that she doesn’t want to appear with that look during the promotions of the film and hence got rid of it. Maybe that’s also the reason her face is appearing tender now while it looked harsh in Fidaa.

For the kind of acting talent she has, this acne maybe a sex appeal for a few, but everyone is liking her mostly for her expressions only.

Woman MP Slams Imran Khan, Quits His Party

Share

Ayesha Gulalai, a parliamentarian from the Opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party on Tuesday announced her resignation, accusing party chief Imran Khan of sending “lewd text messages” to her and other women members. Calling Mr. Khan and his ‘gang’ characterless, she said honour of women is not safe in the party.

“Imran Khan has sent first lewd message to me in October 2013. He does it through his Blackberry. His Blackberry should be checked. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority can testify to my claims if his Blackberry is confiscated,” she told a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday night.

Ms. Gulalai, a young member of the National Assembly from the conservative Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), was once an ardent and vocal supporter of the PTI.

Earlier in the day, she had told newsmen that the kind of culture some in the PTI are trying to promote is not in line with Pakhtoon cultural values.

Other women parliamentarians quickly reacted to her allegations. “MNA Ayesha Gulalai’s rebuke adds to the disquiet about a woman’s place in the party,” Sherry Rehman, Senator from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), tweeted. However, there was no word from Mr. Khan.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that the allegations were serious and should be investigated. He added that the PPP will never compromise over the safety and dignity of women.

John Kelly Takes Over As Chief Of Staff

Share

“A great day at the White House!” President Donald Trump said on Monday evening after sacking White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, 10 days after he was hired. Mr. Scaramucci’s firing came at the instance of John Kelly, a former Marine General who took over as the White House Chief of Staff on Monday. Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Gen. Kelly has complete authority over all staff and operations at the White House.

President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, daughter Ivanka Trump and strategist Steve Bannon will report to Gen. Kelly, the White House said, an authority that the former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, who resigned last week, did not command.

 Chaotic phase

With Mr. Scaramucci gone as fast as he arrived, the Trump White House may have passed a particularly chaotic phase in its ever-volatile existence over the last six months, but it is unclear how long will the calm last. Over the last fortnight, Mr. Trump has ignited controversy after controversy, chiding his own Attorney-General and sniping at Republican Senators for failing to push through legislation that sought to partially repeal Obamacare, among other things. His tweets will not stop, Mr. Trump said on Tuesday morning. “Only the Fake News Media and Trump enemies want me to stop using Social Media (110 million people). Only way for me to get the truth out!,” he posted on Twitter.

Mr. Trump lavished praise on Gen. Kelly after he was sworn in, but that may not necessarily guarantee anything in the long term. Mr. Trump had effusively praised Mr. Priebus also earlier, but undermined him by creating parallel power centres in the White House and finally hiring Mr. Scaramucci, disregarding Mr. Priebus’s opposition to the appointment.

Mr. Scaramucci used vulgar phrases and metaphors to talk about Mr. Prieubus and Mr. Bannon in an interview, making his own downfall faster and inevitable. But his entry into the White House had already led to the exit of Mr. Preibus, and Sean Spicer as Press Secretary.

“The President certainly felt that Anthony’s comments were inappropriate for a person in that position. And he didn’t want to burden Gen. Kelly also with that line of succession… but Gen. Kelly has the full authority to operate within the White House, and all staff will report to him,” said Ms. Sanders.

Power struggles

There are multiple faultiness in the White House power struggles — nationalists versus globalists, traditional Republicans versus the President’s long-time friends from business, and generals versus civilians, for instance. Gen. Kelly’s challenge will be to bring order into the chaos that these divisions create. Ms. Sanders said Gen. Kelly will control access to the President. Mr. Trump is said to like and respect billionaires and Generals, but such feelings could be fleeting.

 Changing perceptions

Mr. Trump is reportedly unhappy with his National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, a serving General. Mr. Trump had appeared to be holding him in high regard at the beginning. With Mr. Trump unsatisfied with the proposals from Pentagon and Gen. McMaster on Afghanistan, which nationalists consider as continuation of the failed ‘establishment’ policies.

The Trump administration’s Russia policy is also in a limbo as relations worsen. The White House has said the President would sign a new legislation passed by the House and the Senate with near total bipartisan unanimity, which will also bind his hands from making any concession to the Kremlin.

Meanwhile, Russia has asked hundreds of American diplomats to leave and seized two American properties in the country, in retaliation to similar measures taken by the Obama administration in its last days. Mr. Trump has taken a confrontational posture against the Republican Party establishment yet again, and Russia is one key issue on which he does not see eye to eye with them.

As Homeland Secretary, John Kelly Stood Up To Donald Trump Over Travel Ban

Share

Raised voices could be heard through the thick door to the Oval Office as John Kelly then Secretary of Homeland Security offered some tough talk to President Donald Trump.

Mr. Kelly, a whip-cracking retired general who was sworn in as White House chief of staff on July 31, 2017, had demanded to speak to the President alone after Mr. Trump complained loudly that the U.S. was admitting travellers from countries he viewed as high risk.

Mr. Kelly first tried to explain to Mr. Trump that the admissions were standard some people had legitimate reasons to visit the country but the President insisted that it was making him look bad, according to an administration official familiar with the exchange about a month ago.

Mr. Kelly then demanded that other advisers leave the room so he could speak to the President frankly. Mr. Trump refused at first, but agreed when Mr. Kelly insisted.

It was an early indication that Mr. Kelly, a decorated retired Marine general who served three tours in Iraq, is not afraid to stand up to his commander-in-chief.

Tapped to bring order to a chaotic West Wing, Mr. Kelly began to make his mark immediately on July 31, 2017, ousting newly appointed communications director Anthony Scaramucci and revising a dysfunctional command structure that has bred warring factions. From now on, said White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, all senior staffers including the President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and chief strategist Steve Bannon will report to Mr. Kelly instead of the President.

Mr. Kelly “will bring new structure, discipline and strength” to the White House, Ms. Sanders said.

“It definitely has the fingerprints of a new sheriff in town,” said Blain Rethmeier, who guided Mr. Kelly through the Senate confirmation process for the Homeland Security post. Mr. Rethmeier said that what stood out about Mr. Kelly during the time they worked together was the way Mr. Kelly commanded respect from everyone he encountered and the way he respected others.

Mr. Kelly drew praise from lawmakers of both parties on August 1, 2017.

Senator Lindsey Graham expressed confidence that Mr. Kelly can help restore order, saying on NBC’s “Today” show that “the Marines have landed at the White House. They have a beachhead.”

And Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois told CNN that Mr. Kelly “is in a position where he can stabilise this White House, that’s good for this country. The President has to be part of that.”

Jason Miller, a senior communications adviser during the Trump presidential campaign, predicted on CNN that Mr. Kelly’s next move will be to put people in place that will help the President. He suggested Mr. Kelly should convince ousted Press Secretary Sean Spicer to stay on, at least through the tax overhaul effort.

Mr. Kelly fostered a reputation as an outspoken commander who didn’t shy away from unpopular opinions during his military career. Mr. Rethmeier said that Mr. Kelly also respects authority deeply “and that’s something that Trump sort of smells out, if you respect him or not”.

“If he disagrees with you, he’ll disagree respectfully,” Mr. Rethmeier said.

It was a point Mr. Kelly made clear during his confirmation hearing in January. “I have never had a problem speaking truth to power, and I firmly believe that those in power deserve full candour and my honest assessment and recommendations. I also value people that work for me speaking truth to power,” he said.

In April, Mr. Kelly bluntly challenged members of Congress critical of the Trump administration’s aggressive approach to immigration enforcement to either change the laws or “shut up”.

But after being confirmed as part of Mr. Trump’s Cabinet, Mr. Kelly also tried to moderate some of the President’s hardline positions, even as he publicly defended them.

Mr. Kelly and Defence Secretary Jim Mattis, another retired general, were also said to have been deeply frustrated with the rollout of Mr. Trump’s refugee and immigration ban, and made clear to associates that they were not involved in drafting it or aware of its details around the time that Mr. Trump signed the original order. Both moved swiftly to address gaps in the measure, with Mr. Mattis asking that Iraqis who helped U.S. troops be exempt and Mr. Kelly clarifying that green-card holders would not be affected.

Nonetheless, Mr. Kelly launched a particularly robust defence of the order to lawmakers and reporters, which was welcomed by the White House.

Mr. Mattis and Mr. Kelly also agreed in the earliest weeks of Mr. Trump’s presidency that one of them should remain in the United States at all times to keep tabs on the orders rapidly emerging from the White House, according to a person familiar with the discussions. The official insisted on anonymity in order to discuss the administration’s internal dynamics.

Senator Bob Corker said on July 31, 2017 that he discussed Mr. Kelly’s appointment with Mr. Trump and hopes Mr. Kelly “will do everything possible to bring the appropriate discipline and focus that needs to be at the White House there”.

“I hope that Gen. Kelly will absolutely, forcefully clean the place up,” Mr. Corker said. “And anybody who’s been a violator, who’s been a part of public backbiting, part of undermining, who’s been part of feathering their own nest at other people’s expense, I hope they’ll all be gone.”

David B. Cohen, a University of Akron political science professor writing a book on Chiefs of Staff, applauded Mr. Kelly for doing “things that should have been done on Day One of Reince Priebus’s tenure.” He said Mr. Scaramucci’s removal sent a clear message “that going off-script and being undisciplined” would no longer be tolerated at the White House.

But Mr. Cohen wondered how long Trump would go before undermining Mr. Kelly.

“President Trump is his own worst enemy,” he said. “He instinctively likes to be his own chief of staff and he’s a pretty awful one. Will he be able to resist messing with the system once John Kelly cleans everything up? Will he listen to his chief of staff when Kelly has to tell Trump, ‘No,’” he asked.

“I’m not sure President Trump is wired to be able to listen to that type of criticism,” he said.

Kapu crusader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham has written an open letter to Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. Asking him not to ‘trust’ the ‘lies’ and ‘false’ promises of CM Chandrababu Naidu, Mudragada in his letter stated that his community is ‘shameful’ to listen to the ‘lies’ of Naidu. He asked Pawan Kalyan to not to ‘travel’ along with Naidu and ‘demean’ his own ‘reputation’.

“Achannaidu had stated that reservations for Kapus would be implemented within seven months by getting BC Commission report. It is been 18 months since Commission is appointed and it’s been three years TDP came into power. We are tired of listening to the lies of Chandrababu’s government,” Mudragada wrote in his open letter to Pawan Kalyan.

Mudragada’s letter has now become talking point in political circles. While TDP leaders are worried over the ‘damage’, YSRCP wants Pawan to distance from Naidu and join hands with Opposition. Meanwhile, Janasena Party is yet to respond on Mudragada’s letter to its President.
