Even as Big Boss Telugu – hosted by Jr NTR – is all set to be aired in just four days, an unexpected voice from the very own Telugu film industry has raised against the show. This naturally shocked both Tarak fans as well as the people from the industry. Proclaiming as fan of both legendary NTR and Jr NTR, TFCC (Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce) chairman Ramakrishna had urged NTR to quit from the show citing it as ‘against Telugu tradition’ and ‘values’. Saying that NTR is now one of the top heroes, the TFCC chairman said that it was ‘unacceptable’, ‘poor in taste’ to see him peep through a hole at woman’s legs.

Predicting that the show may not be ‘successful’ in Telugu, Ramakrishna asked Jr NTR not to be part of such show. Saying that Jr NTR has good craze today, he asked him to introspect his decision once again. What’s shocking is that Ramakrishna stated that many actors in the industry have ‘not shown interest’ to participate in the show that would be shoot in Pune.

However, contrary to this, the craze for Big Boss Telugu among Jr NTR fans is good. Fans are eagerly waiting to look forward their favourite star stepping into the shoes of Big Boss which saw the likes of Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty and et al.

1. Four Heroes:

In the increasing world of the egos, fans and markets, multi starrer became a strict no-no in Telugu cinema. An occasional film or a guest appearance sure did happen. But, four heroes in one film. That too from Gen-X is unimaginable. But here it is. That too with a maverick lone crusader Nara Rohit. Narcissist performer Sandeep Kishan. Self-obsessed Sudheer Babu and boy trying to join the grown-ups club Aadi coming together. They might be friends, but each one will act only if they have enough to chew from the film. I am sure there is. That is what keeps me waiting too.

2. Theme and Genre:

A black comedy in the heist backdrop with colorful characters is a thing that we hardly see in regular Telugu commercial cinema space. Neither the genre nor theme sound “routine” in any sense of the term. When variety is the spice of life and adding spice is what cinema does to our mundane lives. Here is the film. That can make it not just spicy but colorful too.

3. Music and Magic: 

Mani Sharma seem to have woke-up from his long slumber and touched the keyboard with his magic wand. The sounding is new. And cinematography by Sameer Reddy is promising heavy duty lightening per frame. So the music and visual magic are yelling me to check-in to theater and update the status on Facebook.

4. O Captain! My captain!!

This is just his second film. But the promise he has shown through his first and flare that he is exhibiting in the second makes me bet on him. He is sure a winning horse. Sriram Adittya is his name. But he makes Telugu cinema feel, Hollywood stylized makes Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie and Edger Wright all rolled in to one just arrived. So, just for him I am ready to sing “O Captain! My Captain!!”

5. RP the Torpedo:

Rajendra Prasad is a name that made couple of generations laugh. He was lost in-between, and found his way back with new ammunition for the new generation. New- Gen filmmakers are also using his potential to the maximum. The trailer seem evident of that fact. Hence RP alone can be one major reason to watch this film.

Facing the ire of Telugu fans for insulting legendary director K Raghavendra Rao, curly haired seductress Taapsee Pannu says she said nothing wrong. “I’ve not hurt anyone but stated only a fact, if you’re hurt then it is your problem,” she says, commenting on the issue.

While sharing her thoughts on a YouTube comedy show, Taapsee spoke about many things including her not getting a chance to play Delhi Sikh girl despite being one and also about her debut South. Commenting on her first film, she stated that the director has thrown a coconut at her navel and midriff, and she quipped what sort of a fantasy and fetish that is. Tollywood lovers haven’t taken this easy, and they started ridiculing her on social media by choosing words like ‘hypocrite’ and ‘backstabber’.

However, Taapsee stated that she has stated nothing wrong. Sharing her thoughts with a leading Bollywood media house, she said, “I’ve shared only facts. It is his style. Even K Raghavendra Rao and his whole family saw the video and they laughed at it. We are all happy for the video. I’m only concerned about him and he’s happy with it”. Also, she mentioned that she made fun of herself but none in that video.

“Actually I’ve said that as my midriff is not ready yet, they have thrown a coconut at me rather fruits and flowers. I didn’t say anything derogatory or disrespectful to anyone”, she added, clarifying her stand.

After Megastar Chiranjeevi rewrote Box Office history with his comeback film, ‘Khaidi No.150’, fans are eagerly waiting for the launch of the actor’s 151st film. If the ongoing buzz is anything to go by, makers are planning to launch this film on the coming Independence Day.

It is known that #Chiru151 is the biopic of Telugu freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Earlier, plan was to launch this prestigious project on the eve of Megastar’s birthday, on August 22.

However, having come to a conclusion that the best day for the launch of a biopic on freedom fighter is, the Independence Day, makers have reportedly decided to prepone their plan by a week and launch #Chiru151 on a grand scale on the eve of this year’s Independence Day, August 15.

Meanwhile,the pre-production work and casting process is progressing at rapid pace. Nayanathara is reportedly on board to play the female lead. Ram Charan is producing this mega project on a budget of around Rs 120 crore.

Actors Sudheer Babu, Sundeep Kishan and Aadi say working on forthcoming Telugu multi-starrer crime-thriller “Shamanthakamani” was fun and at the same time kept the competitive spirit in them alive.Directed by Sriram Adittya, the film’s story is centered on a car and it features Sudheer, Sundeep, Aadi and Nara Rohit in the lead.

On the experience of working together with three more heroes, Aadi said all of them have equal screen space.”It never bothered us who will have more screen space. Each character has its highs and lows and there are plenty of moments for each of us to shine. Instead of worrying about whether each of us will have ample screen space, I was more concerned about my character,” Aadi told IANS.

He wanted to be sure of whether he can do justice to his character.”I had to be sure if it was a suitable character for me. I remember asking Sriram if this is what he wanted me to do because I wanted to be sure if I can deliver. By bringing us together, I believe we only became competitive,” he said.

Sudheer Babu says it’s a script written for the characters and not for heroes.

“When you try and place a hero in a certain character, you will find it challenging. This is a script written for the characters and not for the actors. When Sriram approached me with the script, I wanted him to choose the role that he thinks would be apt for me,” Sudheer said.Last seen in “Baaghi”, Sudheer did initially feel apprehensive about the idea of a multi-starrer at this stage in his career.

“After ‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ and ‘Baaghi’, where I had scope to shine individually, I asked myself why a multi-starrer now. I wondered if the idea will work. But when I heard the script, I was totally blown away,” he said.

Sundeep said each of the characters has a purpose in the film.”Each one of us knew what is expected of our character. We had a ball working together because all of us have been friends for a long time. There was absolutely no room for ego on the sets,” Sundeep said, adding the camaraderie between them was quite evident even off the sets.

Sundeep added, “All of us will gain something from this film.”
