It looks like Mega Prince Varun Tej fired a storm at Stylish Star Allu Arjun during the pre-release event of Fidaa on Monday evening.

Ever since the ‘Cheppanu Brother’ episode of Bunny hit headlines, Pawan Kalyan fans were quite furious over the actor and he had to deliver an explanation later. In fact, that controversy had put other Mega Stars in a highly compulsion zone. As a result, other actors in family Sai Dharam Tej and Varun are not missing out any opportunity to speak about Powerstar and Megastar.

At the pre-release event of his upcoming film Fidaa, Varun said, ‘If we (Mega actors) are standing on this stage today, it is all because of Pedhanana (Chiranjeevi) and Babai (Pawan Kalyan). Their hard work has put us where we are now. So, I will never miss a chance to speak about them. On a bigger stage like this, particularly.’

Varun further said, ‘not everyone will like to listen us speak about them all the time, but we will never stop remembering them.’ The film’s producer Dil Raju also recalled his moments with Megastar Chiranjeevi on the stage.

Fidaa, directed by Shekar Kammula and produced by Dil Raju, has Premam fame Sai Pallavi as female lead. Touted as youth-ful romantic entertainer, the film is scheduled for release on 21st July.

By having the advantage of widest releases and diverse audiences, Bollywood has been dominating the Southern film industries at box office for years. Thanks to Baahubali, Tollywood, for that matter any Southern industry, has for the first time beat Bollywood by a huge margin.

In the first half of 2017, while all the released Bollywood films together collected around 1500 crore, Tollywood box office produced 2070 crore approx revenue. While Tollywood has seen money spinners like Baahubali 2 (major contributor), Khaidi No.150 and some others, Bollywood couldn’t produce even a single film that could really set box office on fire. Salman’s Tubelight, SRK’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil failed miserably at box office.

These figures are giving nightmares to Bollywood filmmakers. Trade analysts are ringing warning bells saying Tollywood has evolved to the extent of having the potential to end the monopoly of Bollywood.

With promising films such as PK-Trivikram, Mahesh Babu’s Spyder, NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa and a slew of other releases in pipeline, the second half of 2017 is also expected to give tough competition to Bollywood.

In comparison, the business done by Tamil cinema was around 450 Cr and all the other remaining film industries together was 1200 crores approx. in the 1st half of 2017.

Mega power star Ram Charan, who has been toying with experiments lately, is back to his strength, commercial cinema.

The actor himself has made an official announcement on Facebook that his next film would be directed by Flop-less director Koratala Siva. Charan’s Konidela Production Company will co-produce this action entertainer with Matinee Entertainments. The shoot will commence from Summer 2018.

After two offbeat films – Dhruva and Rangasthalam, Charan was planning to hunt box office, and he has found the perfect director to satiate his quench for BO glory. In fact, Koratala was supposed to direct Charan right after his debut blockbuster ‘Mirchi’. The project however was dropped then, and the duo are finally teaming up in 2018.

Charan-Koratala is one of the biggest combos in Telugu film industry for sure, and Charan’s fans are elated for obvious reasons.

Other day there was news everywhere about Mega fans protesting at Dil Raju’s office alleging that DJ Duvvada Jagannadham collections are hyped and showed as if they have beaten Megastar Chiru’s comeback movie Khaidi No 150 at the box office in record time. Without taking any clue to the incident, Dil Raju tried to pacify mega fans openly at Fidaa audio launch last night.

Actually, when Dil Raju started in his speech that without Megastar Chiranjeevi there’s scope of none from Mega family, everyone got stunned. “If I’ve to tell about Varun, then I need to speak about Megastar Chiranjeevi garu. We’ve special moments with him since I first saw him during the shooting of State Rowdy movie at Paradise hotel as an audience. Later I took shield from him as Alluda Majaka distributor.

Then I’ve met him for Arya story narration and waited outside his chamber for two hours while Sukku is narrating the story. Because of the red carpet he rolled out, today we have Pawan Kalyan, Arjun, Charan and Sai Dharam” said Dil Raju. Well, what’s the hidden meaning of this revelation anyway? He comes to it next.

“I’ve read on social media pages that are writing intentionally, Khaidi No 150 collections are beaten by DJ Duvvada Jagannadham. Chiranjeevi garu’s films and his range are entirely different. There should be no comparison with them at all” he stressed and then moved away to talking about Fidaa movie.

Of course, Khaidi No. 150 made 100+ crore share and DJ might make only 70+ crore share in its final run, so there is no comparison. But fans are asking, why some posters and revelations depicted as if the film collected huge and whose numbers are bigger than that of Khaidi collection from Nizam area. Recently Allu Arjun played the role of an army returned guy in Sarrainodu movie and that’s now followed by a bunch of young heroes. Rana has donned full-time Navy officer role in Ghazi, Karthi was seen as an airforce pilot in Cheliya while Sai Dharam Tej will boast shades of army guy in Jawan. Even in MCA, Middle Class Abbayi, Nani will be seen wearing the uniform for a couple of scenes, a source revealed.

According to grapevine, Pawan Kalyan has breathed fire on comedian on the sets of Pawan-Trivikram movie. Buzz is that Pawan has lost cool after the comedian allegedly cracked a joke on the actor’s political party – Janasena. The comedian was also part of Trivikram’s previous film A..Aa. Pawan apparently took the comedian’s comments to his heart as he is putting a lot of sweat and blood in building his own political party against all the odds.

As per the sources, Pawan lost his temper. He said to have warned the comedian to ‘stay in limits’. He even told him never to repeat such acts on the sets. This has become the talking point in industry circles. Neither Pawan’s team nor comedian is available to clarify on the rumour.

Earlier, during the shooting of Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Pawan had reportedly slapped comedian Shakalaka Shankar for his comments on the film’s director on the sets. However, the comedian later clarified that it was just a ‘rumour’ and Pawan didn’t beat him. He further added that Pawan Kalyan was his ‘God’.

The unit of PK 25, which is currently shooting in Hyderabad in a huge set erected with Rs 5 Crore, will fly to Europe on July 19 for a 20-day schedule. Pawan who will be seen as a software engineer in this untitled film, is romancing with his female leads Keerthy Suresh, Anu Emmanuel.

A few years ago, reports were doing rounds wildly that both NTR Jr and Naga Chaitanya Akkineni were in talks for the remake of cult class film, ‘Gundamma Katha’ starring their legendary grandfathers.

When Chaitu was recently asked about this project, the young Akkineni hero said that the remake will surely happen but not immediately. He exuded confidence in sharing screen space with NTR Jr in the remake. Chaitu said that they need to be very cautious to touch that classic.

‘I have plans of acting in the remake of Gundamma Katha but I need to get more maturity in my acting to at least touch the grace brought to his character by my grandfather, ANR. We won’t remake the film as it is but the story will be tweaked to suit the tastes of current generation audiences. I will surely do the remake along with NTR Jr,’ said Chaitu.
