Drug Overdose Behind Musician Chakri’s Death?
We have already heard a lot about the sensational Tollywood drugs scandal, and many links between drug supplier Kelvin and industry people. And now comes to focus is late Chakri, a renowned musician who began with Puri’s Bachi and also shot to name with the director’s next few films.
It is hard to believe Chakri’s involvement, but the Police learned about him after interrogating drug dealer Kelvin and also extracted some information pointing to the death of musician. Sources revealed that Chakri died after suffering from overdose of mood-changing drug LSD. Reportedly, Kelvin said to police – ‘Chakri and others always used to have party at Puri Jagannadh’s place and I was worried my name would pop out after his death.’ But, he was lucky at that time.
So far, several Tollywood names have emerged out and interrogation of film directors & artists has started, beginning with filmmaker Puri Jagannadh on Wednesday. All other Stars including Ravi Teja, Charmme and others are lined up for interrogation, as a special investigative team served notices to all of them.
Puri Interrogation: 9 hours and still going
The investigation in sensational drugs scandal, which began with director Puri Jagannadh this morning, is still underway. It’s been nine hours already and the ace filmmaker is still being questioned about his links with drug supplier Kelvin, who is also an event manager in Hyderabad.
The interrogators have been reportedly quizzing Puri on various aspects including his Bangkok trips and other links. Also, a senior medical surgeon from Osmania has arrived at Exercise Department office to take blood samples of Puri and perform medical tests (LSD) to identify whether he consumed drugs or not.
The Special Investigation Team prevented his family members, son Akaash & brother Sairam Shankar, from meeting him since morning. However, the officials have confirmed that there any arrests as of now. If needed, Puri Jagannadh would be called up once again for further investigation in this drugs case.
Outside the interrogation venue, several media folks are waiting to grab a response from Puri Jagannadh about this investigation.
On Thursday morning, ace cinematographer Shyam K Naidu will be undergoing interrogation by Police sleuths.
Producer Offering Big Deals To Young Heroes?
A noted production house in Tollywood, Anil Sunkara-owned AK Entertainments, has reportedly started a new culture of striking multi-film deals with happening heroes.
Young hero Raj Tarun was the first one to have signed a three-film contract with AK. He was reportedly paid a whopping remuneration besides handing a posh villa in Hyderabad as part of this deal.
Now, the production house has reportedly proposed another three-film deal to happening hero Nikhil. The young lad has been scoring hit after hit by choosing different subjects, and he has successfully carved a niche for his films in Tollywood. Considering his stability, AK Entertainments has reportedly offered him a whopping remuneration to sign a three-film contract.
Nikhil hasn’t yet signed the deal since he may be wary of the consequences of being tied to one production house for so long. In some of such deals, actors are forced to accept whatever the story comes their way to complete the multi-film deal quickly, and it sometimes proves damaging for actors’ careers.
In the recent past, rumors surfaced that Anil Sunkara co-owned 14 Reels proposed similar multi-film deals to Pawan Kalyan and NTR. The deals haven’t materialized though.

Parties Who Vote For Kovind Now Opposing Naidu!
If you are already betting big on majority for NDA’s vice presidential candidate M Venkaiah Naidu, please hold your horses as UPA’s VP nominee Gopala Krishna Gandhi is slowly, but strategically, gaining strength from regional parties.
G Gandhi, former governor of West Bengal has managed to win support of his long-time friend Naveen Patnaik, current Chief Minister of Odissa. Patnaik-led BJD (Biju Janatha Dal, the ruling party of Odissa, is the biggest party in state with around 28 parliament members and 1 independent member supporting them.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, CM Naveen declared his party’s complete support to Congress man Gopalakrishna Gandhi. ‘We both are friends even before we entered politics and our party would stand by him in Vice President polls,’ said the 14th CM of Odissa. And this definitely wouldn’t have been expected by Bharatiya Janata Party as BJD supported Ramnath Kovind in presidential polls.
On other hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nithish Kumar is also likely to deliver a shock to BJP by declaring support to Gandhi, which was not the case for presidential polls. But, Telugu parties TRS, TDP and YSRCP have vowed their party’s vote for Mr.Naidu.
Although Venkaiah Naidu’s victory is quite inevitable, due to the latest developments his majority could take a beating.
Political Pressure! Ban Lifted On JC
TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy has finally succeeded in making the domestic airlines revoke the flying ban on him.
The former minister was earlier banned by all major domestic airlines for his unruly behavior after he reportedly broke office equipment and abused IndiGo staff at Visakhapatnam airport on June 15.
The IndiGo staff reasoned that they refused to let him board the flight as he turned up late. The incident got extensive coverage in media and it prompted the major airlines to ban him.
One month after the ban, the seven domestic airlines, including IndiGo, on Wednesday revoked the ban on JC. It is heard that the Anantapur MP has used his power and influence in New Delhi to bend the airlines before him.
The other day, Diwakar Reddy flew to New Delhi on a ‘Private Jet’ to cast his ballot in the Presidential Elections, as he was in the No-Fly list of the airlines.
JC’s son, Pavan Kumar Reddy had reportedly arranged an eight-seater jet for his father. During his stay in Delhi, he has reportedly used his political connections and allegedly forced the airlines to revoke the ban on him.
Naidu’s Counter Strategy To PK & Jagan
Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu seems under pressure after his betenior and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced ‘Navaratna’ promises recently.
On the instructions of YSR Congress party’s political strategist Prashant Kishore, Jagan announced nine promises at the party plenary.
To counter Jagan’s promise to provide pension to the patients ailing from kidney failure, Naidu took a big decision of disbursement of Rs 2,500 pension to each patient every month.
At the four hour long cabinet meeting, Naidu discussed the issue of Jagan’s Navaratnas and it’s implications on his party winning prospects in next elections. The chief minister wanted to counter Jagan by implementing the promises in advance before the elections.
The officials of Medical and Health department have been asked to identify all kidney patients for implementing the new pension scheme.
