Anushka Sharma, who has been churning out blockbuster after blockbuster alongside Bollywood superstars, is making radically diverse films as an actor-producer.

After ‘NH10’ and ‘Phillauri’, Anushka has started her next production venture, ‘Pari’. The English translation of the title is ‘Angel’. But, one look at the first look of ‘Pari’, you will understand that the film is not about angels but demons.

In the first look poster, Anushka Sharma looks scary. Her haunting and intriguingly looking eyes and intense expression will surely scare the daylights out of audiences. The beautiful actress looks to be playing a character that was possessed by some demonic spirit.

The shooting of ‘Pari’ has just started and the first look has raised enough curiosity on this film. Anushka Sharma is playing the lead role besides producing the film.

On the other hand, Anushka will be next seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Imtiaz Ali’s “Jab Harry Met Sejal”.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s SPYder has become a hot cake in Tamil Nadu ever since the film’s teaser was unveiled two weeks ago. The makers, who had been in discussions with several leading distributors, have finally sold the Tamil Nadu rights for a record sum.

Reportedly, the TN theatrical rights of SPYder were acquired by a major distributor for a record Rs 18 crore. This is a huge sum, not even the Tamil rights of Baahubali: The Beginning were valued at such staggering price, say trade analysts.

The name of AR Murugadoss has helped the makers of SPYder clinch this record deal. The action thriller is expected to have a massive release in Tamil Nadu simultaneously with the Telugu version for Dussehra this year.

Interim, the film is in last leg of production. Murugadoss is taking his own sweet time and sculpting SPYder with utmost care in order to meet the staggering expectations. Going by Murugadoss’ track record and the glimpse of SYPder, the film is likely to impress multiplex audiences and if the same happens in B,C centres too, then the box office record books will have to be rewritten.

The wait is over. Here is the first look of NTR as Big Boss host for its regional show on Star Maa. Dressed in a black suit with a white shirt neatly tied, NTR looked dashing and dapper.

None other than NTR himself revealed the look by taking it to Twitter. Posting the picture, he wrote, “I can see you #BiggBossTelugu.”

Of late, NTR is doing quite well in films. His last films Janatha Garage, Nannaku Prematho have been rated well by critics and even audiences received them well. At this juncture, his foray into small screen has received mixed reaction and several apprehensions were raised. Since Chiru too failed on TV, many called it as a daring choice by Tarak.

However, his look from the show has quashed all those apprehensions. With this pic, NTR has certainly raised the curiosity levels and the show has now turned into anticipating.

The album composed by Anup Rubens for Balakrishna Nandamuri’s upcoming film ‘Paisa Vasool’ will have a treat for Nandamuri fans.

Balayya himself revealed that ‘Kanti Choopu Chebuthund,Konte Navvu Chebuthundi’ song from his father Sr NTR’s “Jeevitha Chakram” (1971) had been remixed in ‘Paisa Vasool’. The original song was composed by noted Bollywood music director duo, Shankar Jaikishan.

Anup Rubens has already completed the remix of this classic hit song. To be filmed on Balayya and film’s leading lady Shriya Saran, the song is expected to be one of the highlights of the film.

Nandamuri fans were hugely worried regarding the film’s music as Anup Rubens has yet to prove his mettle in composing for mass movies. With the incorporation of this hit remix song, their concern may diminish to some extent.

Paisa Vasool is slated to hit screens on September 29.

While the Telugu film industry and literary fraternity is still to come out of the grief of the demise of legendary poet and writer Dr. C Narayana Reddy, here is a little information on possibly his last song.

Rana Daggubati took to twitter to share with the world that he had penned a song titled ‘Nelavanka Thongi Choosindi’ for his upcoming film, ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’. The team of NRNM has paid rich tributes to the legend who passed away within a month of penning a song for their film.

Meanwhile, an emotional Kajal Aggarwal revealed that she had completed her part for NRNM. “The end of an extremely memorable journey which will always be cherished.. The final wrap schedule of #RadhaJogendra #NeneRajuNeneMantri #NRNM,” she shared on her social media page.

If Rajnikanth is Superstar, then we have Simbu calling himself as Little Superstar. One wonders what made Simbu call himself that way but he always tried to mimic Rajni in many ways and succeeded to an extent. But after the advent of many other stars who happen to be hardcore fans of Superstar, Simbu’s hawa got reduced to a considerable position.

Cut to the point, we have Powerstar here in Telugu and one hero is trying hard to become Little Powerstar. Look at the recent posters of “LIE” movie where Nitin is looking like a Pawan Kalan from his Tammudu movie as he flaunts his lungi look. That mass look of Pawan from Tammudu where he fancies with heroine Aditi in a foreign locale and dressed like a mass Telugu guy, is now imitated by Nitin for LIE movie.

That brings us to the discussion if Nitin is trying hard to become Little Powerstar of Telugu states. Or else, his love for Pawan Kalyan too is getting more and more with each film we have to say. Anyway, Nitin needs to score a big hit with LIE provided that he hasn’t had a stunning commercial hit after Ishq, while A.Aa credit is taken by Trivikram for sure.

On the other hand, we have LIE posters creating huge interest among youths as director Hanu Raghavapudi is known for churning out beautiful love stories.

If grapevine in film circuits is to be believed, Gopichand and Nayanthara’s Aradugula Bullet needs around Rs 6 Crore to see the light of the day. Apparently, the Chennai-based financiers who initially funded the film, is expecting Rs 6 Crore (including interests) to settle the issue and thus give clearance to the film’s release.

As the film’s producers have already invested a lot than the regular and budget has shot up beyond the hero’s market, the makers have given up and wanted to just release it. Although producers requested the financiers to release the film and take the share in its collections, the financiers are not willing to do so, since they too have little hope of recovering their monies and hence demanding the total amount in advance for the film to be released.

Producers are now in no mood to put in another Rs 6 Crore and this is where the film is said to have stuck. Many in film circles are not hopeful that the issue would be resolved soon.

Already, hero Gopi and heroine Nayanthara have cooperated a lot by cutting down their fee. Yet nothing seems to be working. Looks like, the producers may finally settle with selling Satellite, digital rights if not a theatrical release. Even this would be a highly loss venture. So, producers are now weighing various options to get this issue resolved.

Even the big names behind the project couldn’t do much but hoping to see it solved.
