Costume designer and Rajamouli’s better-half Rama Rajamouli is usually reticent and less spoken. She has revealed an interesting detail about her celebrity husband S.S Rajamouli. Rama divulged that Rajamouli don’t bother about money. This is not all. According to her, Rajamouli neither carries cash nor any card in his pocket. So Rama quipped that whoever takes Rajamouli to a hotel has to pay the bill.

Sharing the details, Rama said, “Rajamouli don’t track of how much he earns. If someone asks him to sign on cheque, he signs as if he is giving autograph to his fans. He doesn’t even check how much money is there in the account. Many times, cheques were returned. I have to manage things for him as he’s not concerned about them. He don’t carry money with him. At times, he forget and goes to hotels. So, I always keep some money and a ATM card at driver.”

It’s no wonder as many creative people are least concerned about monetary things. Looks like, Rajamouli too joined the legion of creative persons who fail at the financial aspect.

While there is huge buzz that director Harish Shankar is leaving no stone unturned to make “DJ Duvvada Jagannadham” as another Gabbar Singh, there is another side of it being heard in film circles.

From the last couple of weeks, since the unit’s return from Abu Dhabi where they film some songs and scenes, there is no buzz about the shooting of the movie. From last 10 days, we have Allu Arjun relaxing in Goa with his wife and friends and celebrating his son birthday first and his own birthday later. What made a star hero take such a big break from shooting and spend time in holiday at a time when his film is being planned for a Summer release?

According to a grapevine, there seems to be some issue with the climax of the film and currently, Harish Shankar is rewriting it. Earlier for films like Racegurram and Sarrainodu, Bunny has objected for the climax after the shoot, and some reshoots came into place. We hear that even DJ Duvvada Jagannadham is going for such climax reshoot soon.

Whether this rumour about Duvvada script going wrong at climax couldn’t be verified, but Bunny’s absence and pending shoot are giving fuel to speculations.

With the advent of digital technology in film making, hundreds of senior film technicians are left without work in the industry. Talented Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, who has carved a niche for himself over the past few years, has come up with a noble initiative to felicitate such senior technicians.

Sethupathi announced that he will offer gold coins to 100 senior Tamil film technicians on the eve of May Day at an event to be conducted to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema. The 100 technicians will be selected across the 24 crafts of film making.

Vijay said that whatever he has today, was given by cinema and that he wants to do his bit for the industry in return.

SS Rajamouli, the creative director of Indian Cinema today, who is being said to be the best showman after Subash Ghai and Raj Kapoor by makers like Karan Johar, has showed an example of his simplicity yet again. The director made a point that he thanked each and every person of his team right down to the office boys at Hyderabad event of Bahubali The Conclusion, Telugu audio launch, made it a point that he would thank all of his actors again during the Tamil audio launch.

The director who is known to be showing humility in public however fake or real it sounds to be, he once again announced on the big stage that he is Sorry that thinking about someone else for the role of Sivagami. He said the role fits to the tee to Ramya Krishnan and he should be thankful for all others for rejecting the offer. Ramya Krishnan seemed to be quite happy and awestruck by the director’s honest confession in public.

The director went on to thank Prabhas, Anushka, Sathyaraj for being a part of his ambitious world. He remembered Rana Daggubati who was unable to make it to the event and also thanked Tamannah Bhatia for being the face of Bahubali in Hindi markets. Tamannah reciprocated the high praise by thanking Rajamouli for the opportunity and said he would call Prabhas a great friend than a Darling.

Ever since Malayalam actress Bhavana’s kidnapping and molestation incident has happened, several actresses have opened up about the casting couch culture that is prevalent tin film industry. When asked for his view on this issue, comedian Prudhvi has made some sensational comments.

Prudhvi said that the reputation of film industry is getting damaged because of the statements of some actresses. ‘I agree that some people exist in industry who try to take advantage but I am sure that nothing happens without the consent of women. If industry is filled with sexual predators, why not leave it instead of spreading rumors. More educated and cultured people are now coming into industry and the situation is not as worse as it is being projected,’ he said.

The star comedian has raised a few valid points but didn’t he go overboard calling casting couch happens only with the consent of actresses? Newbies and aspirants are often lured and trapped by filmmakers with promises. As Prudhvi pointed out, some actresses however are magnifying the undeniably existing casting couch just for cheap publicity.

Natural Star Nani is one of the very few heroes in Tollywood who made it big without any filmy background.  With double hattrick hits under his belt, he is the most successful Tollywood hero at present.  Nani has recently attended Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu show hosted by Megastar Chiranjeevi.  He has revealed interesting things in the show.

He said that no one should should speak about him that ‘Nani doesn’t have background’ from now onwards.. and he said that his backgound is Megastar Chiranjeevi.  He revealed that he has worked hard and became a hero by taking inspiration from Chiranjeevi.  He also surprised Chiru by demanding a bicycle.

He said that “When I was a student, my parents bought a bicycle for me. I went to ‘Master’ movie riding my new bicycle to Satyam theatre.  As the movie was released that day, the crowd was huge.  Somehow I managed to grab a ticket by sneaking into the queue.  When I came out of the queue I found that my bicycle was stolen.  But I went into the theater happily, as I got the ticket and watched the movie.   I started crying when I remembered my bicycle after the completion of the film. I brought back my composure later and managed my parents at home by telling them some story”.

Nani continued that “When I shared this incident to Allu Aravind garu while doing ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’, he promised me that he will buy a bicycle for me.. he didn’t give me the bicycle till now.  So.. Chiranjeevi garu, you give me a bicycle”.  When Nani asked Chiru to buy him a bicycle.. he told that..”Sure.. I will buy a bicycle for you. It’s my pleasure”.

‘DJ’ shoot is in the last leg stage. Audio Launch could be by the end of April. A gap of at least 3 weeks will be maintained with ‘Baahubali 2’ for the theatrical release.

It is known that ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ was re-released this Friday in as many as 1000 screens across India. Going by the initial advance ticket bookings, trade experts predicted that the film will perform reasonably well. But, after its first weekend of theatrical run, the re-release idea has proved to be disastrous.

As per trade reports, the re-released film couldn’t collect even Rs 2 Cr, which is embarrassing for a film released in 1000 screens. Director Rajamouli is said to be miffed with this embarrassment for ‘Baahubali’, which collected Rs 600 crore when it was first released in 2015.

Who would go all the way to watch a film that has been screened numerous times on Television? Moreover, the DVDs are also available in the market.

Reports are now emerging that Rajamouli was strictly against the idea of re-release. Although he expressed his apprehensions against the re-release citing the above reasons, Karan Johar went ahead with his plan. Considering the craze for the second part, he allegedly expected that he can fill his pockets by releasing the first part.

As Karan was bearing all the expenses of Hindi re-release, Rajamouli and Baahubali producers let him go ahead as they didn’t want to get into his bad books and jeopardize ‘Baahubali 2’ release. In the end, Rajamouli’s fear came true as besides performing poorly, the re-release gave an impression that makers will not leave any opportunity to cash in ‘Baahubali’ craze.

Rajamouli hopes that this fiasco doesn’t show any impact on ‘Baahubali 2’, which will hit screens on April 28.
