It is strange on the part of society in general and media in particular to perceive a VIP differently in different situations.
Take the example of popular industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, popularly known as Matrix Prasad (because he came into prominence with Matrix Laboratories). Being an industrialist, he has a wide range of investment interests.
As part of his business strategies, he had invested monies in Sakshi media group owned by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
May be, Prasad thought Sakshi had huge potential to grow as a big media house, since it was promoted by none other than then chief minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s son.
But he was projected as a villain by the yellow media, who propagated that he had invested in Jagan’s company because he had obtained various other favours from the YSR government as a quid pro quo deal.
He was implicated by the Central Bureau of Investigation which threw him behind the bars for quite some time.
After coming out of jail, Prasad maintained a low profile but had not stopped investing in profitable ventures.
As part of that he made huge investments in Baahubali-2, the magnum opus of director S S Rajamouli. And the same media, which had derided him in the past, hailed him as a Saho-Baahubali.
The producers of Baahubali have given him the highest regard and the society has given him back the VVIP treatment.
This is the surprising attitude of the society and the media. Prasad was the same investor both in Sakshi and also Baahubali.
The source of capital investment is also the same – from his entrepreneurial endeavours Matrix and Maa TV.
For investments Sakshi, the yellow media ensured that he went to jail and for investments in Baahubali, they are praising him for his wise investments and magnanimity. What a paradox?

Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma on Wednesday shared a childhood photo of Sridevi, whom he called a miracle. He wondered how the young girl has gone on to become a superstar in Indian cinema.
“Who could have imagined this little girl will become the biggest superstar ever of Indian screen. Sridevi is a miracle,” Varma tweeted.
He also shared a photo of a young Sridevi with her parents.
Varma shares a long-standing relationship with the “English Vinglish” actress.
They worked together in Telugu films such as “Kshana Kshanam” and “Govinda Govinda”.
On the career front, Varma awaits the release of “Sarkar 3” while Sridevi is waiting for “Mom” to hit the screens.

There used to be a time when movie lovers thronged theatres just by seeing the name of Puri irrespective of who the hero is. However, the crazy director’s stardom has fallen drastically in the last two years and his latest release ‘Rogue’ has turned out to be one of the epic disasters in overseas.
To be honest, no one had any expectations on ‘Rogue’, which seemed to be an erotic film rather than a love story. The name of Puri somehow managed to lure his last remaining ardent fans in the Telugu states to theatres who probably have returned home with disappointment.
Coming to the US, the situation is far worse. Its five days since the film hit screens and guess how much it collected? Its $338. Could anything be more embarrassing than this for Puri, who is still regarded by some as one of the top directors?
As per reports, Puri charged Rs 10 crore remuneration to make this epic disaster. Trade predicts that the film may not recover even half of his remuneration, leave aside the total investment of the producer. Its high time Puri recognized Rogue as an eye-opener and started making quality films.

Currently shooting at Sirigiri village in Polavaram Mandal near Rajamundry, mega hero Ram Charan, his heroine Samantha and director Sukumar are pulling a massive feat in this hot Summer.
As Charan is busy with the shoot of his latest film, we hear that he’s going through huge pressure from fans now as a producer. On his Konidela Productions banner, he has debuted as a producer with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 and the film went one collecting 100+ crores share already. After scoring such a stupendous hit, there was no success meet of the film. Some linked it with Dasari Narayana Rao’s ill health and vowed to host Khaidi success meet only after he recovers fully.
However, in the coming two weeks, Khaidi No 150 will finish 100 days run at box office. We hear that more than 30 centres are still running this film in AP and Telangana and 50+ theatres are likely to celebrate the 100th day of the movie. While Charan is not interested in celebrating stuff like 100 days of the film, we hear that fans are exercising pressure to celebrate the moment.
Will the mega hero and producer bow to this pressure and hosts 100th-day celebration? And the big matinee idol who has seen 200 centres celebrating 100 days of his Films, will he agree for the function? Only time has the answer.

In another saddening incident happened in America, a IT employee who hailed from Yadadri of Bhongir district has been found dead at his residence in Seattle. As per reports, he was found dead by hanging himself at his home.
According to his family members, the 37-year old Gudur Madhukar Reddy who is working as a software engineer, had been living in US from last 10 years and he brought a home four months back. ‘Dear mother, kindly forgive me,’ he reportedly wrote in a message to his mother prior committing suicide.
Married to Swathi who also works as an IT employee in Seattle, Madhukar also has a six year old school going daughter. Incidentally, Swathi’s sister and her husband committed suicide in the same city (Seattle) two years ago.
Mr. Reddy’s parents and family in Bhongir has been informed about his demise on Tuesday morning at 7:30 am IST. Having graduated from BITS Pilani, Mr. went on to pursue his US dream and started working for a multi national company since last 7 years.
Although Mr. Reddy is well-settled and no reasons are known for committing suicide, members close to his family tell that dispute with his wife Swathi could have led him to take this extreme step. Essential arrangements are currently underway to bring home (India) the dead body of Madhukar Reddy.

Sensible music composer Mickey J Meyer, who has scored music for good number of Telugu films including Superstar Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam’, has revealed that he was very much hurt when people trolled Mahesh for the disastrous family drama.
‘More than the result of the film, people’s trolls on Mahesh hurt me. He, along with director Srikanth Addala, worked very hard to give a good message to society. Sometimes, results don’t come in our favor and seeing people ridiculing an honest actor like Mahesh was very painful,’ revealed Mickey during his interaction with media ahead of the release of Varun Tej’s ‘Mister’ for which he scored music.
It may be recalled that Mahesh had to face the most embarrassing time of his career post the release of Brahmotsavam. Aspects such as his script selection, dances, same makeover for all films etc. were heavily trolled. The trolling was so much that a national daily published an article on the entire episode and it later apologized for its imbecile act.

The popularity of ace Telugu film director Rajamouli SS is on the rise ever since his magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ struck the Indian silver screens.
After receiving several national and international honors, Rajamouli has now become the only second Indian filmmaker and third male South Indian celeb to have amassed 3 million followers on twitter. Only Rajinikanth and Mahesh Babbu are ahead of Rajamouli in South India besides actresses – Shruti Haasan, Samantha and Trisha.
Karan Johar is the only other filmmaker to have more than 3 million followers on twitter. The fact that Rajamouli has more twitter fans than Pawan Kalyan, Vijay, Suriya, Allu Arjun etc. depicts his craze among movie lovers.
We wonder what many more feats Rajamouli will pull off after the release of eagerly awaited Baahubali 2, which will release worldwide on April 28.
