Whatsapp to hit Pay TM in India
Whatsapp, the leading instant messaging app, sees a big opportunity to propagate widely in India with digital payment service, alongside the existing apps like BHIM, UPI, PayTM and others.

The Story Behind The Baahubali-Katappa Poster Revealed
Ahead of the release of S S Rajamouli’s film Baahubali: The Conclusion, concept artist Viswanath Sundaram revealed the story behind the intriguing Baahubali-Katappa poster, which was unveiled on March 11.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Viswanath Sundaram said: “Rajamouli sir called me to develop designs where ‘Katappa kills Baahubali.’
First, I developed a frame but the director felt it was too low an angle to shoot on the screen. The next one too did not convince him since the slayer’s face was obscure.
Later, I composed a silhouette with fire and grey backdrop, and my art was ultimately replicated on the screen without any change.”
In 2013, Vishwanath Sundaram got the opportunity to be a part of the Baahubali series. Sundaram, who was then working with filmmaker Balaji Kumar for Tamil movie Vidiyum Munn, told PTI: “I was working in Coimbatore when I got the call. Initially, I was apprehensive about the project but in due course, I managed to do well. Art director Sabu Cyril told me that Baahubali is equivalent to ten movies and I experienced it while working on the film.”
Viswanath Sundaram also spoke about his ‘most challenging shot’ as a concept artist in the Baahubali series.
“In the first part, the statue-lifting sequence was very challenging. That shot was an important one to propel the story forward. I created three sketches with panoramic views and handed the printouts. During the shoot, they had the sketches in front of them to decide where to place the shots,” he told PTI.
Baahubali: The Conclusion features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles.
The film has made a pre-release business of over Rs 500 crore through its distribution and satellite rights down south. Baahubali: The Conclusion is set to release in theatres on April 28.

YSR Congress party president and Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s crusade against Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for giving cabinet berths to four of his party MLAs who defected to the TDP seems to be getting wider support from unexpected quarters, particularly the Bharatiya Janata Party.
If it was Naidu’s close friend and Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu who found fault with the defectors getting cabinet berth on Monday, it was his party colleague and former union minister Daggubati Purandeshwari who dashed off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi opposing Naidu’s move to induct defectors into the cabinet.
Venkaiah Naidu said if any elected representative wants to defect to another party, he or she should first resign from the post before defection.
“It is not ethical to stick to the post even after defection,” he said.
On Tuesday, Purandeshwari wrote to the Prime Minister and also to BJP president Amit Shah, saying that the AP chief minister’s move to induct defectors would bring bad name to the BJP as well, as it was the alliance partner of the TDP in Andhra.
“Our political ally is encouraging defections unethically. Are we endorsing it?” she asked.
She even said the TDP was making a mockery of the anti-defection law and there was a need to make it more stringent.
“The AP chief minister has grossly violated the Constitutional norms,” she alleged.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee also supported Jagan’s argument and lashed out at Naidu for promoting defectors.
APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy wrote a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee to intervene in the issue and see that the defectors are disqualified and sacked from Naidu cabinet.
USCIS Strong Measures To Stop H-1B Visa Fraud
In its bid to stop the fraud and abuse of H-1B visa, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced some stringent measures.
USCIS has decided to take a more targeted approach while making site visits across the nation to H-1B petitioners and the worksites of H-1B employees. The agency will focus on H-1B-dependent employers who have a high ratio of H-1B workers compared to US workers. The details of employers petitioning for H-1B workers who work off-site will also be thoroughly scrutinized.
Targeted site visits on a random basis will allow USCIS to find out where H-1B fraud may be more likely to occur. The agency’s target is not employees but the H-1B dependent employers who evade the prescribed rule of giving priority to equally skillful US worker over a foreigner.
USCIS has also established an email address which will allow both the American workers and H-1B employees to report if they suspect a fraud or if they themselves are victims of H-1B abuse. Information submitted to the email address will be thoroughly investigated and the employers will be brought before the law if found guilty.
