Raj Tarun’s latest offering Kittu Unnadu Jagratta is turning safe for its distributors, buyers. The film that received last Friday said to have raked in approximately 3 Crore share in 3 days in AP and Telangana. It’s said that interestingly the film has crossed ‘Monday test’ in trade and said to have got good turnout.

Meanwhile, it’s estimated that the film would break-even by the figures of Tuesday or Wednesday and likely to enter profit zone from Thursday on wards. While Kittu showing its dominance here by standing at No. 1 out of the last week releases, the film is in second position in the United States while Vijay’s Dwaraka is slightly higher than KUJ there.

On the whole, KUJ is expected to enter profits before this Friday that is going to see a slew of releases including Sundeep Kishan’s Nagaram, Aakatayi, Anjali’s Chitrangada, Lakshmi Manchu’s Lakshmi Bomb.

Sundeep Kishan has been working hard but luck hasn’t favoured him during his last releases. However, in a dramatic turn his Nagram (originally Maanagaram in Tamil) – – that has been on hold for a while – is now all set for release and interestingly the talk from its premiere in Chennai is now source of all the good buzz about the film online. Now this buzz is bringing hopes on the film and naturally trade, industry circles too got alerted and looking forward to the film’s fate at the Box Office.

Sundeep, who is quite confident about the film, has been promoting the film for quite sometime. Usually, actors won’t promote their films that were signed long back or that were put on the backburner for long. But surprisingly, Sundeep has taken up the responsibility and doing his bit as a passionate actor.

Billed to be an urban thriller that follow hyperlink format where four separate stories converge at a point to complete the remaining film, the film also stars Regina.

It may be noted that the social media-savvy Akhil tweeted for the last time when ONV hit screens, almost a month back. Akhil was reportedly disturbed with his marriage cancellation and hence he maintained a low profile.

Now, it seems that the young actor has finally decided to leave all that behind and look forward to his relaunch, a Vikram Kumar directorial, which is scheduled to go on floors on April 1.

If latest reports are anything to go by, there is a new title in consideration for Mahesh Babu-AR Murugadoss’ film. Buzz has it that the movie would be titled as Abhimanyu. After breaking heads for long over film’s title and considering titles such as Sambhavami, Agent Shiva, Marmam and et al, finally makers seem to have voted for Abhimanyu.

It’s learnt that even the film’s title song revolves around the word ‘Abhimanyu’ much. And taking all the feedback of fans, industry circles and media reports into consideration, finally Mahesh and Murugudoss are looking towards going ahead with Abhimanyu.

In overseas alone the film incurred a massive loss as the overseas distributor who invested nearly 3.6 Crore said to have lost almost all. And the situation is no different in domestic market too as distributors suffered great losses cutting across the regions. While it’s buzzed that the producer assured them of compensating with his next film that is said to be a bigger film, distributors are still looking towards Nag’s assurance or his intervention in the matter.

Given that almost all the distributors have invested in the film by taking finance for interests, they are looking up to Nag for a meager compensation now before producer compensating with his next that may take nothing less than a year-and-a-half.

It’s learnt that Nagarjuna has charged a bomb for the film i.e around 8 Crore. And this is certainly huge for a devotional film. So, distributors of ONV are hoping that Nag would step in for them. Even for Brahmotsavam, Sardaar Gabbar Singh, star heroes Mahesh, Pawan too intervened in the issue along with producers and said to have settled for most of the distributors who were hit badly.

Now the moot question is whether Nag will do it or not. Let’s wait and see.

Vidya is playing the madam of a brothel in her upcoming film titled ‘Begum Jaan’. The film’s first look poster was released today and Vidya is introduced as an intimidating lady. Holding a hookah pipe in hand, Viday is seen sitting on a chair in the poster. The tagline of the poster reads, “My Body, My House, My Country, My Rules”.

‘Begum Jaan’ is inspired from the real story of a brothel, that was divided against the will of its inhabitants during the India-Pakistan partition in 1947. The film is slated to hit screens on April 14.
