Ghazi is the new film in Indian cinema making a marvelous buzz. Theatrical trailer of this PVP Cinema and Matinee Entertainments production venture directed by debutant Sankalp is based on 1971 Indo-Pak war backdrop where PNS Ghazi had a mysterious crackdown in Visakhapatnam harbor. The Ghazi Attack, Hindi version of the same film is also releasing simultaneously on February 17th with Telugu and Tamil.

According to official report, Ghazi will have three voice-overs from three super stars Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi and Suriya for Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions respectively. Ghazi trailer already gave a glance of Amitabh’s voice over supporting the patriotic content.

Ghazi is reported to have top notch VFX with never seen underwater action scenes composed under the guidance of internationally acclaimed technicians.

Jhanvi and Khushi, who are already setting fashion benchmarks with their hand-picked wardrobe choices, redefined travel trends as they set out looking uber-chic in simple casuals.

Sridevi, who is almost always accompanied by her daughters, lead Team Fashionista in belted denim palazzos and a white shirt.

Actor, producer, mega brother Naga Babu has announced that he would join Janasena and support his younger brother Pawan Kalyan. Though Naga Babu hasn’t said when he would join Janasena, he made it clear that he would sail with his younger brother.

“I don’t know how much my involvement would be in party. If my brother (Pawan) himself comes and seeks my help, I’ll do. I don’t have any reservations. Probably, I myself may go and ask him. Since there’s time, I’m just waiting for right time,” said Naga Babu.

Naga Babu hinted that he would join Janasena and contribute his services to the party when needed and he admitted that he’s all geared up to join.

Naga Babu extended his complete support to the demand of Special Category Status to AP and said that he always stands with Pawan irrespective of issues, ideologies.

Pawan Can’t Express Love

Talking about the much-rumoured about differences between mega brothers and rift within mega family, Naga Babu sets the record straight. “Pawan’s problem is that he can’t express his love openly. He can’t express his love for Chiranjeevi garu. I know how much he loves him. So, no one can question his love for him. Even for Khaidi No.150, Pawan was so much excited. No one knows how Pawan stood as support to Charan for the film. But Pawan doesn’t expose his love.”

When asked about Pawan’s absence to such prestigious event of Khaidi pre-release event, Naga Babu explained, “Pawan was busy. Since he also took up new responsibilities after starting political party, he got busy. But his absence has nothing to do with his love.”

With just 1 day left for the keenly awaited engagement of Naga Chaitanya Akkineni and Samantha, the excitement among Akkineni fans as well as Telugu film lovers is at peaks. To make the matters more interesting, the couple is making sure to share their private pics at regular intervals.

Way back in 2012, during the making of Iddarammayilatho movie, Bandla Ganesh has gifted an expensive 1,455 diamonds studded lighter to director Puri Jagan. Cost of this sparkling cigarette lighting thing is more than 44 lakhs. Ganesh felt that Puri Jagan will remember this gift forever and make few good profit getting films with him.

However in the end, IT people took a clue from the happening and raided Bandla Ganesh’s place to find the authenticity of his account books. Ganesh himself revealed that while talking about that costly gift in a recent interview.

From a long time, heroine Nayantara is facing this issue of not promoting her own movies. Rarely she gives some interviews to promote films like in the case of Sekhar Kammula’s Anamika. Apparently she is of the view that a film’s success depends on the merit of its content but not on the intensity of promotions. Those who heard Nayantara saying this have started expressing doubt if this is her arrogance or innocence?

Actually Nayan is of the feeling that ‘content’ will do its job, but frankly speaking, a film should be taken into people to create enough buzz such that walk-ins to theatres will be huge. If content is good, then by the time word of mouth does the needed publicity, the film will be out of theatres. If celebrities promote the film well, then from opening day itself there will be huge crowds. And if content proves its capability, the film will become huge hit. Maybe we have to say that Nayantara is talking out of innocence but not arrogance.

Because she’s the kind of heroine who has even decided to forgo her balance payment from producers and sometimes she has done films for half her market price. Probably she should understand the business economics of a movie well, rather sticking to this no-promotion rule.

Cut to films and glory, Nayantara recently got crowned as Most Desirable Women in Chennai for the second time in a row. Also her latest film “Dora” is up for release soon.

Hero Nani is talented and bankable actor. He chooses his scripts, roles wisely. And yes, he has good number of hits in recent times. Right from Yevade Subramanyam to Gentleman, there’s no looking back for Nani. Barring Majnu, two others films of him – Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha and Gentleman- that released last year have done well at the BO.

But Majnu applied brakes to his success speed. Even Majnu isn’t bad film at all. Though it has predictable story, it has its moments that appeal to youth. Yet where it all went wrong was its promotional campaign.

Blame it on the lack of planning, dull promotions of Majnu. Only in the last minute, the team had started its campaign in hush hush manner. And the result of the film is evident. Had it been the other way around, certainly, the film would have got better result.

Cut to Present

Now, Nani is prepping up for the release of Nenu Local, his first film in 2017. Among the recently released audio album, the first song “Next Enti” garnered good reception and it even crossed over 1 million views thanks to DSP’s music magic. Even the film’s leading lady Keerthy Suresh is happening in T-town after Nenu Sailaja’s success and soon she’d be seen pairing up with Pawan Kalyan.

Despite having all these assets, the film’s promotional campaign hasn’t gained momentum even though it’s just five days away from the film’s release. Speculations are afloat that Nani’s overconfidence could have been the reason for this. In fact, that’s what happened to Majnu. But looks like, Nani has learned little with the past experience.

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan wished his daughter Shruti Haasan, who turned 30 on Saturday, and told her that she has done well for herself so far but this is just the beginning and she has a long way to go.

“Happy birthday lady. Shruti, you’ve done well. Remember it is just the beginning. Love you, bapu,” Kamal tweeted on Saturday.

On Friday, Shruti tweeted that she will be ringing in her birthday with family and friends in the city.

“Chennai calling. It’s my birthday,” she wrote.

On the career front, Shruti awaits the release of Tamil actioner “SI3”, the third instalment in the “Singam” franchise.

Her other projects include Telugu action-drama “Katamarayudu” with Pawan Kalyan, and “Behen Hogi Teri” with Rajkummar Rao.

Baahubali 2 features a flashback episode which reveals the romance between Prabhas and Anushka and the reason why Katappa killed Baahubali.

Anushka who was seen in a dishevveled and ragamuffin attire in the first part would have to go through a complete transformation for the second part in which she plays Baahubali’s love interest.

Anushka in recent times had done films like ‘Size Zero’ for which she had beefed up a lot. Getting back in shape now for the character of a handsome, lean princess isn’t an easy job, especially given the time constraints.

This has turned out to be the biggest challenge for Baahubali 2 and the unit is expending maximum time and effort on Anushka making use of computer graphics and everything at their disposal, on giving her the proper appearance for the film.

The poster of the film was released yesterday and she was looking very thin in it compared to Singham 3 in which she was far more chubbier. A lot of CG work seems to have gone into the Baahubali poster.

The Sankranthi 2017 movies set box-office on fire and they are still drawing good collections. Actor Nani is hoping that same luck would be rubbed to his upcoming release “Nenu Local” that is hitting the screens on 3rd Feb.

Last year, Nani had scored his first hit with “Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha” in February. Now he is releasing “Nenu Local” in the same month, so he hopes that same luck sentiment might happen.

More than the movie’s success he is more betting on its run in USA. After “Bhale Bhale Magadivoy”, he has tried to score another million dollars grosser at USA box office but he couldn’t do so. But he believes that “Nenu Local” has chance to do so.

The film underwent some issues with the movie’s writer and Nani’s differences with him. Due to this, the film got postponed twice. Directed by Trinadha Rao of “Cinema Choopista Mama” fame, the film has Keerthy Suresh as heroine and has hit tunes by Devi Sri Prasad.

Can he deliver a big hit this time?

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, the hottest couple of Tollywood, are entering into wedlock later this year and their engagement ceremony is going to happen tomorrow (Sunday).

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Suriya will lend their voice for the Telugu and Tamil versions of Rana Daggubati and Taapse Pannu starrer upcoming Telugu-Hindi bilingual war drama “Ghazi”.

“Chiranjeevi sir will lend his voice for the Telugu version of “Ghazi”, and Suriya for the Tamil version. Their voices will be used to narrate some crucial part of the story. Both of them are very excited to be part of the project,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Amitabh Bachchan has already lent his voice for the Hindi version which is titled “The Ghazi Attack”.

Directed by Sankalp Reddy, the film is about the mysterious sinking of Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi off India’s eastern seaboard during the 1971 war.

The film is partially based on the book “Blue Fish”, penned by Sankalp himself.

While Rana will be seen as a naval officer, Taapsee will be playing a refugee.

The film also stars Nassar, Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni and late Om Puri in one of his last appearances.

Produced by PVP Cinema, the film is gearing up for release on February 17.

Karan Johar and Anil Thadani will release the film in Hindi.

Reports have it that Balakrishna may team up with director KS Ravi Kumar for his 101st film. Industry insiders say that Ravi Kumar has recently met Balayya and narrated him a story. Balayya is impressed with it but he hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

Meanwhile, speculations are rife that the story KS Ravi Kumar told to Balayya was originally meant to Chiranjeevi. Since Chiru has already fixed his 151st with Surender Reddy under Ram Charan’s production, KS Ravi Kumar said to have told the same story to Balayya and Balayya readily liked it.

Five months ago, ace director KS Ravi Kumar had met Chiru and discussed about films. Apparently, Chiru had asked KS Ravi Kumar to prepare the script for him and he said he’d work with him after his 150th film.

Since Chiru anounced his 151st with Surender Reddy and 152nd with Boyapati Sreenu, KS Ravi Kumar said to have moved onto Balayya.

Meanwhile, Balayya has put Krishna Vamsi’s Rythu on hold. Also Balayya liked director SV Krishna Reddy’s script as well. This is also under consideration.

KS Ravi Kumar had worked with stars like Rajini, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi. He had directed Sneham Kosam with Chiru, and it didn’t do well then.

Dil Raju, the master filmmaker who brought back the multistarrer genre to tollywood by convincing both Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh to act together in SVSC, might next assemble NTR and Balayya for a powerful project.

As per reports, Dil Raju has a sensational subject in which there is scope for two powerful characters – father and son. The first choice of Raju is NTR and Balayya. Given Dil Raju’s acquaintance with NTR, he could well convince him but getting Balayya’s nod might be tough. In such case, Dil Raju is toying with a few other options.

If not Balayya-NTR, he has Balayya-Mokshaga combo in mind. Given that Balayya is keen to share screen space with his son, this combo is a possibility. But, can Mokshagna do justice to a powerful character at the very beginning of his career, this is said to be the doubt in Dil Raju’s mind.

NTR-Nagarjuna is another option. It may be recalled that the duo was earlier supposed to work together in ‘Oopiri’. NTR was the first choice to play the character essayed by Karthi but things didn’t materialize then. It would be interesting to see an Akkineni-Nandamuri multistarrer with a subject having powerful characters for both father and son.

Keeping all these aside, the safest and easiest option before Dil Raju is Nagarjuna-Naga Chaitanya. In fact, during the promotions of his latest film Shatamanam Bhavati, Raju divulged that he would soon make a film starring the Akkineni father-son duo. Nag however condemned this news as he was reportedly miffed with Raju announcing the film even before the Akkineni heroes had given their nod.

However, it must be admitted that no combination could be as powerful as Balayya-NTR. It would be a festival for not just Nandamuri fans but entire Telugu film lovers if the two mass heroes give their nod.

During the shooting of Komaram Puli, he called me to the sets. I went there unknowingly. He gave me opportunity to turn producer (Teen Maar). Since that didn’t do well, he called me and gave me second film – Gabbar Singh.

He calls me “Ye ra”, “Orey” when only we both are there. But in front of others, he calls me Ganesh. That shows his culture, nature. Pawan Kalyan is a divine force. His political career is going to be a blast. One day, he will become CM for sure. His integrity, his honesty, his commitment will make him so. God will help him. Yes he doesn’t know doing politics, doesn’t know doing scams, taking commissions or going back on promises. All he knows is serving people. He’ll prove in 2019. Wait and see.

I really don’t understand why Teen Maar didn’t work. In fact, I like Teen Maar than Gabbar Singh. May be, if it’s released again with proper editing, it might be successful.

Parameswara Atrs and Pawan Kalyan Creative Works are jointly going to produce films. Recently met God (Pawan) and finalised it. I told him I’ll make films and he encouraged me.

Sachiin Joshi

The biggest mistake in my life is to make a film with Sachiin Joshi. I regret doing a film with him. I’m never scared of Nayeem or anyone else. No one can touch me. In fact, no one has seen my other side. People have seen only one side of me.

Jr NTR :

Baadshah incurred me loss. So during then, a few have misguided me. That distance me from Jr NTR. That’s when I made comments that NTR and I’ve differences. I publicly tender apology to NTR and all his fans. I’ve met him recently and looking forward to work with him.

Poultry:

My father had started poultry business with 1 Lakh then, today turnover of my business is 300 Crore. In Telangana, we’re the No.1 in poultry business and in India, we’re the No.2.

Politics:

I love Politics a lot. So, most of the friends in my circle are politicians. I’ll join Janasena. I will travel with Pawan Kalyan.

Influence:

Akhilesh Yadav is close friend of mine. Met him recently. He had allotted us 100 acres land for poultry development in UP. I have many friends. If I want, I could get a picture with Trump in just 7 days.

Favourite Directors:

Puri Jagannadh is my favourite director as he makes what he narrates. He wraps up film in the time frame. He’s passionate and perfect filmmaker. Trivikram Srinivas is great director.

Upcoming Films

Planning to make small & medium-budget films. Going to do a film with Srikanth Addala. I’ll launch many new directors from now onwards. I had feeling that small-budget films would incur losses. But now I realised that even small films could do well if good content is there.

Future Plans

I want to build a studio. I want to make one boy as producer and took care of my banner Parameswara Arts & my studio. I’ll make my another son to handle my poultry business.
