The Indian-originated English actor Dev Patel has been recently in the news after his film ‘Lion’ was nominated for Academy awards in ‘Best Film’ category. Although the film didn’t emerge out victorious, it apparently received huge critical acclaim from national and international film critics.

The 26-year old Dev is yet again making news, as the pictures of actor kissing his new girl friend Tilda Cobhan-Hervey are making big waves on social media. Tilda is an American-Australian actress who is reportedly dating Dev. The couple looked completely consumed with one another, by holding hands and warm hugs.

They were seen going out on a romantic boat ride and in the pictures, Dev was seen sharing a heartfelt kiss with the 23-year old Tilda. Looks like the Slumdog Millionaire lead star, who’s in relationship with Frieda Pinto for last six years, wants the world to know about his new love affair.

On the acting front, Dev Patel will next be seen in an Australian-American thriller film Hotel Mumbai, which is currently undergoing post production works. The film is based on popular documentary Surviving Mumbai, which is about the Mumbai attacks in 2008.

Film actor and noted comedian Kapil Sharma has pledged to donate his eyes during interaction with the national blind cricket team at his ‘The Kapil Sharma show’.

Kapil said he was so much inspired by the blind cricket team which won world cup for two consecutive years. He also said in a statement “we usually don’t realise that sometimes even a small gesture from our end can make someone very happy. After talking to them, I realized that eye donation is something I should have done long back.”

“Hence, I decided then and there that I will donate my eyes. If someone can see the world with my eyes when I’m gone, I will feel very good about it”, he said.

Vijay Devarakonda has a message for ‘haters’ and ‘critics’ of his latest offering Dwaraka. Setting a new precedent Vijay said ‘sorry’ to people who disliked the film and conveyed thanks to the people who have liked the movie.

“My team and me have great faith in the story of Dwaraka. We did the film with utmost belief, conviction. After doing some 10 films, if I turn back to see my previous work on Wikipedia page, I hope to have each and every film of mine with a unique touch. I wish to do different films in different genres. Be it my Yevade Subramanyam or Pelli Choopulu or now Dwaraka, all three are different from one another,” Vijay Devarakonda said.

Veering towards the response to the film, Vijay said, “I’m glad many of them have liked Dwaraka. I’m thankful to all those who watched and liked the film. And I’m sorry to those who haven’t liked the film. I’ll definitely try to do films that appeal to all.”

With this Vijay has set a new precedent as he openly apologised to people who disliked his film. Vijay said that he would aggressively promote the film even after film’s release to take it more into audiences.

Meanwhile, Dwaraka that opened last Friday might have opened to mixed reviews.

Senior actor Nasser has in a recent interview divulged about how Rajamouli convinces the actors to come on board of his films even without narrating their characters.

Nasser confessed that he agreed to act in Baahubali even though he didn’t have much idea about how his character would be. He gave full credit to the intelligent manner in which Rajamouli narrates stories.

‘When Rajamouli met me, he narrated the whole story except my character. I was so involved in his story that i didn’t care much about my character. At the end, he told me that there is no ‘Baahubali’ movie without Bijjala Deva,” reminisced Nasser.

‘If Bijjala Deva didn’t want his son Bhallala Deva to ascend the throne, there is no ‘Baahubali’ movie, said Rajamouli. He said as if my character is the core point of the film, that was a sublime technique which only Rajamouli possesses,’ confessed Nasser while narrating how he hopped on ‘Baahubali’ project.

In what could be a rare sight to media and a golden sight to fans of mega and Ghattamanenis, Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Superstar Mahesh Babu were spotted together on the sets of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu. Both the biggest stars were snapped after Mahesh apparently walked into the sets of MEK.

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has advised actress Kangana Ranaut to leave the film industry if she was so terrorized of it.

Johar’s retort came as a reply to Kangana’s accusation that he was a ‘flag bearer of nepotism’, means someone who offers movies to only his near and dear ones. Kangana said this right on the face of Karan when she recently attended his chat show, ‘Koffee With Karan’.

Johar is generally known for troubling his guests with his witty remarks so it came as a huge surprise as he didn’t respond to Kangana’s reputation-damaging allegations.

Karan Johar has finally spoken, on another platform, about the Kangana issue. When asked why he took Kangana’s abuses in lighter vein, he said, “She was my guest and I had to hear what she said. I generally edit so much of stuff from my show but I was gracious enough to keep everything of her episode. I was like, let the world see her opinion.”

Talking about Kangana’s statement calling the film industry a ‘Movie Mafia’, Johar said, “What does she mean by ‘movie mafia’? What does she think we are doing? Sitting here and not giving her work? Is that what makes us mafia? I do that because may be I am not interested to work with Kangana and that does not make me movie mafia, it makes me a man with an opinion.

“I gave her the platform to speak and now this is my platform so here I am speaking what I want to. I am done with Kangana playing the woman card and the victim card. If that’s the case, leave it” concluded Johar, suggesting Kangana to leave the industry.

And then, Ritu will be dubbing herself to give that reality to the character she played digitally. Director Rajamouli wrote the complete screenplay for this digital film which was carved in the USA at a couple of world class studios.

While the teaser of this VR film is making everyone go mad for its technical and creative brilliance, the film will be first inaugurated at Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

In a first of its kind, Malayalam superstar Mammootty is reportedly romancing a transsexual actress in his new film.

Anjali Amir, a young actress who underwent a sex change surgery a few years ago, to become a woman, is the lucky one to have got the opportunity to pair opposite the biggest star of Malayalam cinema.

For Anjali, acting has been a dream from a very young age. She was born a boy so she decided to become a woman to make her acting dream come true. When she revealed her decision to her family, they vehemently opposed her. She however was determined hence she left her home and underwent the sex reassignment surgery a few years ago.

Life wasn’t so easy for her after the operation. She was earlier dropped from a couple of television serials and films after learning that she was a transsexual. She however continued modeling and finally got the dream film, a Mammootty starrer. Anjali is one of the very few transsexual women in India to have played leading lady in feature films.

She divulged that she will soon be seen in a Telugu film.

In his upcoming film titled ‘Guru’, Venky has crooned a fun song called ‘Jingidi’. This is the first time in 30 years of career that he sang a song. Venky said that he was reluctant to sing the song at first. In the making video, he explained that he gave it a lot of thought and agreed to sing only after he was stumped by the song tune.

Even though it was his first attempt, Venky looked at ease in rendering the catchy number having funky lyrics. Venky’s never-aging energy made the song even more addictive. The song comes in the film when a drunk Venky explains his comrades about the consequences of drinking.

Ever since the song making video was released on Monday, it started going viral. “Kabali” fame Santosh Narayanan has composed the song. As ‘Jingidi’ song has been extremely well received, fans of Venkatesh hope that he sings many more songs in his upcoming films.

Fresh controversies are circulating from Tamil singer Suchitra’s Twitter account with every passing day even after the account had been deactivated. It is known that private pictures of actors Dhanush, Andrea, Anirudh, Trisha, Hansika, Anuya, Rana etc. were leaked from Suchitra’s account, which allegedly was hacked by some miscreants.

Seemingly agonized by the reputation damage done by the leaked pictures, Dhanush’s sister Vimala Geetha responded to #SuchiLeaks by sharing an emotional message on her Facebook page,.

“For the past few months our family is going through so much pain and agony because of various issues and we all kept quiet. We belong to a very poor family and one man with his hard work and sacrifice gave us food education and everything we have now.. from a small village in theni to what we r now didn’t come overnight or without sacrifice.. my brothers faced criticism embarrassment insults etc etc to reach this level.. god knows what kind of values we were taught and what kind of life we lead,” she wrote.

Slamming the miscreants for defaming her brother Dhanush, Vimala added, “Twitter has become a media where anyone can talk anything or post anything.. and its disheartening to see cheap fake porn videos in a media where even a twelve year old have accounts!!! And the worst thing is the number of people who ask for such perverted videos!!! Our family has seen a lot.. whatever comes .. we will stay united and fight.”

And the detectives on twitter have started circulating images that a mole on the right side of her right eye and a platinum ring she’s wearing on her left hand got matched with the girl in the video.

Whether just a coincidence or something else, Twitterati started linking the matched mole and ring, and her wet eyes response video, and started confirming that it is indeed her in the leaked video.
