Tamil director Deekay, who made his debut with Jeeva and Kajal starrer ‘Kavalai Vendam’ (Enthavaraku Ee Prema in Telugu), has reportedly penned a heroine oriented subject and impressed Kajal with his narration. As his debut film flopped, Deekay couldn’t approach other stars so he seems to have stuck with his debut film’s heroine.

Kajal on the other hand was reportedly excited but she is yet to sign on the dotted line. With big offers not coming as they used to be, Kajal also is reportedly looking forward to woman-centric films. This Deekay directorial would be her first heroine-centric film, if she accepts it.

Released a couple of days ago, the first look of Sharwanand’s upcoming film ‘Radha’ introduced the actor as a police officer. Now, the teaser has been unveiled and it gives a feeling that the film has been modeled on Pawan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ formula.

Sharwa’s funny antics and satirical punch dialogues as a cop and his way of dealing with goons in police station remind us of Pawan’s characterization in ‘Gabbar Singh’.

The catchy dialogues and the manner in which Sharwa mouthed them will surely get the appreciation of movie lovers. After roping in Jagapathi Babu, a young hero has reportedly been brought on board to play a crucial role in #RC11. Senior Telugu film director Kodandarami Reddy’s son Vaibhav Reddy is the young hero to have pocketed this huge project.

Vaibhav has actually made his film debut with a Telugu film titled ‘Godava’. As he didn’t find acceptance from Telugu audiences, he shifted attention to Kollywood and established himself as a potential hero as well as a character artist. He was last seen on Tollywood screen in Nayanthara’s ‘Anamika’, playing a crucial role.

Sukumar, the director of #RC11 has done an extensive search before zeroing in Vaibhav. His scenes with Charan are said to be very pivotal for the plot. Chiranjeevi’s combination with Kodandarami Reddy has resulted in several blockbusters in the 80s. Mega fans hope that Vaibhav brings similar good fortune to Charan.

Pre-production works of #RC11 are fast progressing. Regular shoot is expected to commence very soon.

Actress Sridevi, daughters Jhanvi and Khushi, their cousins Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor and the rest of the family attended a big fat family wedding in Abu Dhabi, filling social media with pictures, each more stunning than the other.

The groom was Kapoor cousin Akshay Marwah, brother of actor Mohit Marwah and son of Sandeep Marwah, who runs a film studio in Delhi.

Akshay’s mother Reena Kapoor is the sister of Sonam’s father Anil and Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor.

Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata denied the buzz about making reentry into film industry as an actress.

Rumors were rife about Namrata planning to re-launch her career as an actor, but she quickly put an end to them by saying that she has no interest in making a comeback onto big screen.

While taking to one of the popular news dailies, Namrata said that someone has spread this silly rumor that has no truth about it. Namrata said that she is enjoying my responsibilities as a mother of two kids.

“I am busy with my family and I look after Mahesh endorsements deals and marketing of his movies. In free time we go to tours and enjoy the holidays. I am busy with my life and therefore there is no scope for reentering film industry,” Namrata cleared the air.

Former Miss India Namrata Shirodkar acted in a couple of big ticket Telugu movies and also in a few Hindi films before getting married to Mahesh.

The much delayed Nandi Film Awards for years 2012 and 2013 were finally announced by the Andhra Pradesh state govt. on Wednesday.

Post the bifurcation of united AP, the two Telugu states have decided to present separate film awards. The residual AP will continue with the Nandi awards and the Telangana govt. is expected to announce separate awards soon.

The ninth season of Indian Idol is currently underway and we have one Telugu guy still competing with the best of the lot for the prestigious title. Paritala Rohit, a Hyderabadi youngster, has reached the Top 8 and is awaiting for the next round.

During an interaction, Rohit gave the complete credit to his parents for honoring his passion and supporting him right from his childhood.

‘When i was a kid, people used to praise my singing talent but hey used to tell i had a female voice. My parents however recognized my talent and trained me under the best classical musicians. I learned music for 16 years to bag the opportunity to showcase my skills on a platform as huge as ‘Indian Idol’,’ shared Rohit.

As a child, Rohit has shined in singing programmes like Bol Baby Bol, Paadutha Theeyaga, Super Singer etc. He made his film debut by singing a song for Chandrahaas movie under MM Keeravani’s supervision. Later, he sang for a few other Telugu movies. For the record, Rohit was one of the chorus singers for ‘Baahubali’ title song.

Rohit’s performance on Indian Idol show was well appreciated by judges Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik and Farah Khan. In fact, he became the first singer of this season to have got the golden mic for the second time.

The young lad is quite active on social media and he frequently posts his singing videos. He has a huge fan following on Facebook and Youtube and his fans believe that he has the skill to win the Indian Idol title of this season.

Sreeram Chandra is the only Telugu person to have win the Indian Idol trophy in 2010. Lets wish Rohit continues his good performances at the show and becomes the second Telugu person to lift the Indian Idol title.

When trade reports concluded that Balakrishna Nandamuri’s latest film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ became the first film of the actor to have entered the Rs 50 Cr club, fans went euphoric. Here comes a bigger BO shocker than that.

According to the production house that bankrolled GPS, the official closing business of the historical film is approximately Rs 77 crores. As ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ will be finishing 50 days of theatrical run tomorrow, makers will officially announce the details of film’s business to media.

Gautamiputra Satakarni is the first Balayya film to have crossed 1 million dollars in the US and also the first film of the senior hero to break into 50 crores club in Telugu states. Including the Satellite, audio, DVD, digital and other rights, the total becomes Rs 77 Cr. We can expect the breakdown of this unbelievable number from the makers tomorrow.

It has to be noted that GPS received tax exemption in the two Telugu states.

Mega family already boasts a number of heroes like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej, Sirish.. Now, reports are emerging that another young lad from the family is going to join this list in future.

Sai Dharam Tej’s younger brother Vaishnav Tej is the youngster in discussion. He is currently busy with his studies. Buzz is that he will soon enroll into an acting school to hone up the skills required to shine on Telugu cinema screen. He is expected to join films not immediately but in due time.

During an interview, when Sai Dharam was asked about when his younger brother would make his debut, the ‘Winner’ hero said that Vaishnav was concentrating only on studies at present.

Well, the same kind of statements were heard in the case of Varun Tej and Sai before they made their foray into films.

Jhanvi Kapoor may not have set foot in Bollywood yet, but she is already a star in her own right. Sridevi’s elder daughter is a fashionista of sorts and her recent outings at the family wedding in Abu Dhabi are proof of that.

The superstar and director Koratala’s idea is to have a fresh looking heroine. Shruti Haasan, Samantha, Rakul (acting in current Murugadoss’s movie), Anushka and Tamannah… all of them have already paired up with Mahesh Babu.

Although Keerthy Suresh was considered initially, they dropped off the idea of approaching her after seeing her recent films. Keerthy seemed very chubby and lost sheen in her face in recently released “Nenu Local”.

Bollywood actresses are quoting huge remuneration to act in South Indian movies. So, there is no option but go for small-ranking actresses or newcomers. Now Namrata will be deciding this.
