And that word got blown out of proportion in no time, saying that “Manam” sequel is coming under Vegesna’s direction, to be produced by Dil Raju. People even included Akhil and Samantha in the gossip saying that they will play crucial roles. In the morning today, Nagarjuna tweeted, “I am reading & hearing news that Chai and I are doing a film together again..hmmm!! This is news to me also”.

So, in no way, this project is on and neither Nagarjuna got a clue of it. Time to rest these Manam gossips now and wait for Nagarjuna’s Om Namo Venkatesaya as well as Chay’s “Allari Alludu” in the coming seasons.

Actor-turned-producer Ram Charan chose to skip Khaidi press conference today and it has set the tongues wagging in T-town.

Since morning, it’s widely circulated that Charan would be attending the press meet and even a special ballroom in a star hotel has been booked. But in the eleventh hour, Charan chose to be absent. Charan’s absence to the event became conspicuous and added fuel to rumours surrounding Khaidi collections.

With Charan decided to hide, Allu Aravind who is no way directly connected with Khaidi turned up as saviour and announced that Khaidi grossed 108.48 Crore world-wide in one week.

Despite being producer Charan didn’t face media after the film released. Even after the tall claims of film’s collections, Charan avoiding media is becoming talking point. It can also be recalled that Charan was absent for the first press conference announcing Khaidi numbers.

On other hand, having hold on distributors, none of them are able to get the exact report of Khaidi numbers. Apparently, all the distributors are instructed not to reveal any figures without their consent. And Allu Aravind has become the face of this whole episode.

What’s more is that several questions are being raised by many on why Aravind didn’t announce collections publicly for his own production ventures Sarrainodu, Dhruva and why he is dong it newly for Khaidi?

Looks like, Charan hasn’t come out of his hero tag yet and seems to have forgotten that he is the original producer of Khaidi.

This is the first million dollar film for Balayya and the collections are super steady in comparison to its competitors.

As per the schedule, Balayya left for the US this evening. By the time he lands in the North America, GPSK is expected to breach the $1.5 million milestone. And, Balayya’s US visit will further propel the film’s box office prospects and reaching $2 million looks likely.

Presently in the industry, the clash between directors is on par with the clash between star heroes. There’s a stiff competition among the directors to move up the rungs of ladder.

Though Khaidi No.150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni’s clash at the BO is projected as Chiru Vs Balayya, one has to admit that it is also Vinayak Vs Krish.

Keep aside the BO numbers aside for a moment. In the whole Vinayak versus Krish episode, clearly, Krish has an upper hand on Vinayak. While many are talking about Krish and his work in GPSK, there are only few who are talking about Vinayak and his directorial prowess in Khaidi No.150.

Besides commercial success with a historic subject, Krish also earned a great name with Satakarni. Despite very little story available, how Krish made it an engaging watch and how he elevated heroism has won applause.

Whereas Vinayak looks overshadowed by Chiranjeevi. The total credit of the film’s success has been attributed to Chiru & his comeback. Also Khaidi being a remake is one of the reasons for Vinayak being sidelined. Though he made very few improvements like including fun in fights and et al, this haven’t garnered him enough name.

Even Vinayak and Chiru’s last collaboration Tagore too was remake of a Tamil film (Ramana), but that got him good name. However, Vinayak couldn’t repeat it this time around. This where he lost to Krish.

Apart from Khaidi & Satakarni, Sharwanand’s Satamanam Bhavati too released. But none of them in the movie got a good name with this film.

Also the biggest success of Krish is that he managed to overcome the hype of Balayya’s 100. Krish isn’t overshadowed by Balayya. In fact, many are lauding Krish more than Balayya. This is definitely required for a star director. Earlier directors like RGV, Rajamouli, Mani Ratnam, Shankar have done it.

Considering all the above, Krish is the one who gained maximum in the Sankranti battle – both personally and professionally. Now reports have it that he is also going to launch Mokshagna. Easily, Krish is now moved up the list of top directors in Tollywood joining Rajamouli, Trivikram, Boyapati, Koratala Siva.

Inside information has it that Balayya is planning to give the responsibility of Mokshagna’s launch film to director Krish. Balayya is apparently toying with the idea of roping in Krish for Mokshagna’s debut and this would materialise once Krish gets free from his two other commitments – one with Venkatesh and second is Hindi film with Akshay Kumar.

Nara Brahmini and Lokesh too are very particular about Mokshagna’s launch movie as he is the future star. They too said to have expressed their consent on Krish.

Producer Sai Korrapati has already got confirmation on Mokshagna’s launch film. He’s going to bankroll the film under Vaarahi Chalana Chitram banner. And if Krish joins, definitely the film’s craze gonna raise further.

The record breaking saga of megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150 doesn’t look to stop. The commercial entertainer has broken several records and stood next only to ‘Baahubali’ as far as the first week report is concerned.

Khaidi No.150 has raked in Rs 56.5 Cr distributor share from the Telugu states by the end of its first week run. Baahubali is still the 1st week record holder with a share of Rs 61.25 Cr.

In the US, Khaidi No.150 collected USD 2.2M+ in the first week and stands at All Time Top 4. The worldwide share could be around Rs 75 Cr, which another non-Baahubali record. Rs 15 Cr more is the minimum target and the upcoming Republic Day weekend is a big advantage.

Nandamuri Balakrishna has spoken to media at length on various issues. In his detailed interview, Balayya talked about his friendship with Chiranjeevi, on Amitabh Bachchan, his future films, signing a multi-starrer to Mokshagna’s debut to his production plans.

GPSK

Krish has approached me with full preparation. His conviction convinced me to do this film. And Satakarni has been in my mind from longtime as dad had wanted to do it but he couldn’t.

Krish hasn’t narrated me the story. He just briefed me it in just four lines. He had told me then that the film will have 2 Hours 10 Mins Runtime and he exactly

Krish had told me that he would release the film for Sankranti. I assume he had met graphic designers by then and had thorough plan before meeting me for the film. All these led me to do Satakarni instead of a social film that I initially planned to do for my 100th.

Chemistry with Krish

Krish and I share good chemistry. Many times, I have told him to take what shots of mine and he obliged. Probably, he too was thinking to take same shots. I’ve shared my inputs with Krish during the making. Krish and cinemtographer Gnana Sekhar too have good wavelength. Our understanding worked well. Sai Madhav’s dialogues were good.

Casting

Casting is one of the major asset for Satakarni. Everyone has fit for their roles. There was no miscasting. Hema Malini, Shriya, Subhalekha Sudhakar have all done well. The film looked fresh.

Success Predicted

Yes, the success of GPSK was predicted much earlier. We’re pretty confident on the film. Less run-time is one of the major reasons for GPSK success. Since there isn’t much story available, we imagined a lot and Krish weaved characters with depth.

Krish’s Previous Films

I have watched only Kanche as many said it’s good film. This I have watched before we met for Satakarni. I liked the film and its music. I have not watched any other films of Krish.

On Chiranjeevi

Chiranjeevi is my only friend in the industry. He is my best friend. Whenever we catch up, we spend good time.

Professionally, we have healthy competition. My film is historical genre and Chiru’s film was socio-entertainment film. Glad that both films did well.

Rythu – Amitabh

I will not do Rythu without Amitabh Bachchan. We had met him for the role, he said he would confirm it only after Sarkar 3. I’m sure, no one would fit for it than anyone else. Either I do it with Amitabh or I won’t do the film at all. The role offered to him was President role. It’s a message-oriented film with commercial elements. Whether it would be my 101 or not, I can’t say now.

Mokshagna

He is studying BBA. He will enter into films once he is done with studies. Mokshagna and I will do only one film. It will be Aditya 999, sequel to Aditya 369. I won’t act with him after that one film. I want him to act alone.

Multi-starrer

I’m going to do a multi-starrer film. It’s been confirmed. I can’t reveal the name of the other actor now. And it’s for a mythological film. It’s not a social film.

Production Plans

Yes, I’m going to launch my own production house this year. Probably, this would be launched by the year end. We’ll announce a film in own production.

Balakrishna’s ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ is attracting decent crowds at box office despite a hit commercial entertainer, Khaidi No.150 and a successful family entertainer, ‘Shatamaanam Bhavati’ are simultaneously making noise at the ticket window.

If the performance in the Telugu states is commendable, the film is doing wonders at the US box office. GPSK is inching closer to USD 1.4 million and is performing better than the other two competitors. From here on, even USD 2 million looks a possibility.

Even as the fate of Sharwanand-starrer Satamanam Bhavati is still hanging in balance, the film’s director Satish Vegnesa has hit a jackpot.

Impressed with his work in his debut directorial, superstar Nagarjuna has nodded to do a film with writer-turned-director Satish. What’s more? The film will also see Naga Chaitanya in a full-length role.

This yet-to-be-titled film is going to be produced by Dil Raju under his home banner. It is said that it is also going to be on the lines of family drama as Dil Raju considered it as a safe bet to recover his returns.

Meanwhile, Nag is quite busy with pipeline of projects. Yet he is making time for new directors. Presently working with Omkar for Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Nag will next team up with Chandoo Mondeti, Kalyan Krishna again. Besides this, Nag is busy listening to the scripts of several directors in the industry.

Television Commercials (TVCs) or advertising films (ads) are the most effective promotional tools for any brand to create awareness about their products. Over these years, there have been innumerable ad films that made a lasting impression on consumers.

The latest TVC that has become quite popular for its heart touching content is the popular electronics giant Samsung’s ‘We will take care of you, wherever you are’ ad film. Released on December 30th, the ad film has so far received 51,136,986 views with more than 40,000 likes on YouTube.

This 4 minute ad film shows the story of a young Samsung service engineer travelling through the rough terrains of a picturesque hilly Indian village to attend to a customer complaint. On reaching home, the engineer is taken aback to see that the customer is visually impaired young girl.

The engineer repairs the girl’s television and the girl rings a bell and calls her other visually inspired friends living in the hostel. The girl then keeps a channel in which her hostel mate and her best friend takes part in a singing competition. This puts a smile on the faces of the young children and of course the Samsung service engineer.

Samsung India launched this nationwide digital and television campaign to showcase its initiative to take customer service to consumers living in the distant parts of the country.

NTR Jr’s ‘Temper’ stands as one of the memorable films in the actor’s career. However, the very thought of its remake is getting flak from NTR’s fans given the names that are doing rounds to replace NTR.

Earlier, Puri Jagannath planned to remake Temper in Hindi with Abhishek Bachchan. Thankfully, Jr Bachchan himself opted out citing he couldn’t match the explosive performance of the Nandamuri hero.

Now, buzz is very strong in Bollywood circles that star director Rohit Shetty is planning to rope in Ranveer Singh in the Hindi remake of ‘Temper’. Now, this is another worrying factor.

Rohit Shetty is a big name in Bollywood but his films concentrate mainly on action and comedy. Coming to ‘Temper’, it is a subtle subject dealing with the rape of a girl. There is huge scope for sentiment and emotions in the film and if they were not handled properly, the remake would be a big farce, especially when Bollywood critics are ever-ready to tear apart south remakes.

Ranveer Singh is a good actor and he has already proved himself with ‘Bajirao Mastani’. However, matching NTR’s dynamic screen presence is a monumental challenge for any actor. Hope Ranveer does justice to the character of Daya that was made immortal by NTR.

In a first of its kind in Telugu film industry, the trailer of Balayya’s Gautamiputra Satakarni has got record 1 Lakh likes on YouTube. The trailer of historic magnum opus directed by Krish crossed 7 million views on the dashboard and still being liked, appreciated.

The film already shattered all previous BO records of Balayya and is emerging as highest grosser in his career till date. In US alone, the film grossed 13,64,211 USD [Rs 9.27 Crore] till Monday and still rock steady in US.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna is all set to visit to US to promote the film which is already doing phenomenally there.

Until a year ago, Samantha was the most sought after top actress in tollywood but the situation has changed drastically once her relationship with Naga Chaitanya was made official.

Samantha has been reiterating for the past few months that she would not bother much about remuneration if potential films and challenging roles come across. The hot lady, who used to charge around Rs 1.5 Cr earlier, has now reportedly slashed her pay to less than Rs 1 Cr.

Still, no filmmaker is considering the name of Samantha fearing that she would get married at any time and that audiences would not be interested in married actresses. The emergence of Rakul Preet Singh and younger Mallu beauties besides the rehashed Kajal Aggarwal, are also keeping Sam away from the eyesight of filmmakers.

Barring a short part in ‘Mahanati’, Samantha doesn’t have any other offer in tollywood. Even Naga Chaitanya is not keen to cast her in his films as their relationship is known to everyone. Sam actually planned to continue acting even after marriage and she must have least expected this situation.

While the remaining three senior heroes have proved to be no inferior to young star heroes at box office, Venkatesh looks to be the only one lagging behind.

Megastar’s re-entry, ‘Khaidi No.150’ has already established non-Baahubali records and zoomed into Rs 70 Cr club in less than a week. Balayya’s Gautamiputra Satakarni is already in Rs 40 Cr club and by its full run, it is expected to enter the Rs 50 Cr club. Nagarjuna has already proved his mettle with ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ last year.

Venky’s current biggest solo grosser is ‘Babu Bangaram’, which couldn’t touch even the Rs 30 Cr mark. Although SVSC and Gopala Gopala were big grossers, they relied mostly on the star power of Mahesh and Pawan respectively. Venky immediately needs a huge blockbuster to match his contemporary seniors.

Reportedly, Venkatesh’s new film in the direction of Puri Jagannath, ‘Jana Gana Mana’, is being made with a whopping budget of Rs 45 Cr. So, Rs 50 Cr at box office is a must for this film to land producers into safe zone. If Venky manages to breach the Rs 50 Cr mark with Jana Gana Mana, it will be a proud moment for Daggubati fans as well.
