Film industry is all about sentiments and on several occasions, we have seen filmmakers following the same pattern that has provided them success in their earlier efforts.

As per the latest update, Ram Charan has given his consent for a new project to be helmed by talented director Merlapaka Gandhi. This young director shot to fame with super hit films like ‘Venkatadri Express’ and ‘Express Raja’. Following the template of ‘Express’ titles that provided him breakthroughs, he is heard to have convinced Ram Charan to name their combo film ‘Mega Express’.

The catchy title has caught the attention of Charan and he is rumored to have agreed for it. Gandhi hopes that the Express title will once again bring him luck and success. An official confirmation has yet to be made on this. The project will be produced by UV Creations and it is likely to go on floors after Charan wraps up Sukumar’s film.

Ram Charan is currently shooting for upcoming action thriller ‘Dhruva’ under the direction of Surendar Reddy. After Dhruva, he will team up with Sukumar for his next film, which will go on floors in November.

When the surprising blockbuster of the year Pelli Choopulu released on July 29th along with Jakkanna, many thought that it would fizzle off soon against Sunil’s mass comedy entertainer.

But to everyone’s shock, Pelli Choopulu not only withstood Jakkanna’s force, but it also made Jakkanna bite the dust miserably. Wth Jakkanna’s fate started a series of devastating Fridays for Tollywood as all the new releases bombed one after the other.

After tasting the much needed success with Pelli Choopulu, Tollywood’s trade had to reel under 7 continuous flops, including a pack of low budget movies such as Rani Gaari Bungalow, Campus Ampasayya, Bommala Ramaram and Sivagami etc.

Coming to medium budget movies,  Mohanlal’s Manamantha, after showing much promise with positive reviews, failed to sustain at the box-office commercially. Allu Sirish’s Srirastu Subhamasthu got an okay response and its final fate may be known after its final run.

Even Sai Dharam Tej, who was on a hat-trick, tasted the second disaster in his career with Thikka. Then came Venky-Maruthi’s Babu Bangaram, which got a decent response, may bring a smile on the buyers’ face in the end.

And both the last Friday releases, Chuttalabbayi and Aatadukundam Raa met with mediocre reviews and disastrous collections, leaving Tollywood with just 1 hit and 7 flops within just three Fridays. Trade circles are predicting a cumulative loss of nearly 20-25 crores on all these movies.

When the audio of NTR Jr’s ‘Janatha Garage’ was unveiled, the promos of songs were also unveiled. But, the promo of the eagerly awaited item song ‘Pakka Local’ from the film was not released as the song was not shot by then.

Soon after the news broke out that the seductively charming Kajal Aggarwal was doing the ‘Pakka Local’ item song, which was shot recently on NTR and her, the expectations grew sky high. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see the teaser of the chartbuster item song. The teaser will be released within few days.

Meanwhile, we are revealing the look of Kajal from the song. She is said to be sporting four costumes in the song and this is one of them. In traditional costumes, the saucy seductress looks like a ‘Pakka Telugu Ammayi’.

Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who created history by delivering 3 successive Rs 100 Cr films in one single calendar year, has reportedly signed a new film titled ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.

Currently, Akshay is shooting for the sequel of Jolly LLB. He is playing a lawyer in the film. He will start shooting for ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, a satirical comedy after wrapping Jolly LLB sequel. The film is said to be a satire on the current sanitation and hygiene situation in the country. It is said to be related to Swacch Bharat, the cleanliness program initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The film starring ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ actress Bhumi Pednekar in the female lead role will go on floors in November. The satirical subject and the quirky title have already garnered the attention of trade and movie lovers. As per the makers, the similarity of the film’s title to Sunny’s iconic blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ is just a coincidence.

Meanwhile, Akshay’s ‘Rustom’ is successfully playing in theatres.
