Confusion on Akhil’s Second Ends

Share

After a lot of dilly dallying, finally the confusion on Akhil’s second film seems to have come to an end. According to sources close to the Akkineni clan, Manam director Vikram Kumar has been zeroed in on to helm Akhil’s second film and we heard that it’s a fresh story narrated by Vikram. Also, buzz is that the film is going to have youthful elements that lacked in his maiden film.

However, Akhil is jinxed this time around. He’s not going to make the announcement like he did for Hanu Raghavapudi which went onto be shelved without even hitting the floors.

Latest is that none other than Nagarjuna would be making an official announcement soon on an auspicious muhurat. While it’s not clear who’s going to produce it, mostly it’d be bankrolled by Nag’s home production Annapuran Studios.

Though Vikram is supposed to team up with Allu Arjun after his 24, he has to wait as Bunny would be working with Harish Shankar before doing film with Vikram. In the meantime, Vikram would be directing Akhil’s second film.

Goa hottie Ileana is planning to take legal action against a producer for announcing her to be part of his film when she had rejected it in reality.

A sequel to hit Bollywood film ‘Aankhen’ was recently launched with great fanfare in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Regina Cassandra and few others who will be associated with this film to be directed by Anees Bazmee were present at the event. Film’s producer Gaurang Doshi announced that Ileana, who was absent from the event, will also be seen in the film. Moreover, a video featuring Ileana was also telecasted at the event.

Ileana came to know about this only after her closed ones contacted her to congratulate. This made her furious as she turned the film down when she was offered it. The announcement was made without her permission, and the actress is now contemplating to initiate legal action against the producer.

Believe it or not: Donald Trump regrets comments that may have caused pain

Share

trump

For the first time since declaring his presidential run, Republican Donald Trump acknowledged that his caustic comments may have caused people pain, saying that he regrets some of what he’s said “in the heat of debate”.A day after announcing a campaign shake-up and as he trails in the polls, the GOP nominee said that he recognised that his comments which have angered minorities and alienated large swathes of the general election electorate may have been ill-advised.

“Sometimes in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don’t choose the right words or you say the wrong thing. I have done that,” the GOP nominee, reading from prepared text, said at a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina. “And believe it or not, I regret it and I do regret it particularly where it may have caused personal pain.”The remarks came as Mr. Trump was trying to rescue a campaign that has struggled since the Democratic and Republican nominating conventions from a series of self-created distractions. Early Wednesday, Mr. Trump announced that he was overhauling his operation, bringing in a new chief executive and appointing a new campaign manager.

Rarely do presidential campaigns wait to advertise, or undergo such leadership tumult, at such a late stage of the general election.Yet Mr. Trump has struggled badly in recent weeks to offer voters a consistent message, overshadowing formal policy speeches with a steady stream of self-created controversies, including a public feud with an American Muslim family whose son was killed while serving in the U.S. military in Iraq.

Mr. Trump’s decision to tap Stephen Bannon, a combative conservative media executive, as his new campaign chief, suggested to some that he planned to double down on the playbook he used in the primary, playing to his angry rally crowds and bouncing from one controversy to the next.Instead, a new Mr. Trump emerged on Thursday — a less combative, more inclusive candidate who said he was running to be the “voice for every forgotten part of this country that has been waiting and hoping for a better future” and for those who “don’t hear anyone speaking for them”.

Earlier Thursday, Mr. Trump moved to invest nearly $5 million in battleground State advertising to address daunting challenges in the States that will make or break his White House ambitions. The New York businessman’s campaign reserved television ad space over the coming 10 days in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to Kantar Media’s political ad tracker. While Democrat Hillary Clinton has spent more than $75 million on advertising in 10 States since locking up her party’s nomination, Mr. Trump’s new investment marks his first of the general election season.

Election Day is 81 days away, with early voting in the first States set to begin in five weeks.

In his remarks, Mr. Trump struck a new, inclusive tone and tried to appeal directly to non-white voters, shown by polls to an overwhelmingly unfavourable view of the candidate.“I will not rest until children of every colour in this country are fully included in the American Dream,” Mr. Trump told his audience, again accusing Ms. Clinton of “bigotry”.Ms. Clinton, he claimed, “sees communities of colour only as votes and not as human beings worthy of a better future”.Ms. Clinton’s campaign, meanwhile, brushed the speech off as just words he read from a teleprompter.

“Donald Trump literally started his campaign by insulting people. He has continued to do so through each of the 428 days from then until now, without shame or regret,” said spokeswoman Christina Reynolds in a statement.“We learned tonight that his speechwriter and teleprompter knows he has much for which he should apologise. But that apology tonight is simply a well-written phrase until he tells us which of his many offensive, bullying and divisive comments he regrets — and changes his tune altogether,” she said.

It remains to be seen whether Mr. Trump’s reboot comes too late, and whether he has the discipline to maintain it.Mr. Trump now trails Ms. Clinton in preference polls of most key battleground States. And his party leaders, even at the Republican National Committee, have already conceded they may divert resources away from the presidential contest in favour of vulnerable Senate and House candidates if things don’t improve.

But Mr. Trump supporters largely accepted the change of tone, even if some saw it as unnecessary.“It takes a lot of strength to say, ‘I’m sorry’, to admit not that he was wrong, but he wished he hadn’t done it,” said Cindy Ammons, 70, a Trump supporter from Spindale, North Carolina,“I think he’s evolving,” she said.

U.S. set to hand over Internet’s naming system to ICANN

The move has been criticised by some U.S. politicians as opening the door to the likes of China and Russia to meddle with a system “protected” by the U.S.The U.S. is set to cede power of the Internet’s naming system to a non-profit organisation on October 1, ending the almost 20-year process to hand over a crucial part of the Internet’s governance. The Domain Naming System, DNS, is one of the Internet’s most important components.

It pairs the easy-to-remember web addresses with their relevant servers. Without DNS, one would only be able to access websites by typing in its IP address, a series of numbers such as “194.66.82.10”.More by circumstance than intention, the U.S. has always had ultimate say over how the DNS is controlled – but not for much longer, the BBC reported today. The U.S. will give up its power fully to Los Angeles-based ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), a non-profit organisation.

The terms of the change were agreed upon in 2014, but it was not until now that the U.S. said it was finally satisfied that ICANN was ready to make the change.Users of the web will not notice any difference because ICANN has essentially being doing the job for years. But it’s a move that has been fiercely criticised by some U.S. politicians as opening the door to the likes of China and Russia to meddle with a system that has always been “protected” by the US.

“The proposal will significantly increase the power of foreign governments over the Internet,” warned a letter signed by several Republican senators, including former presidential hopeful, Ted Cruz.ICANN was created in 1998 to take over the task of assigning web addresses. Until that point, that job was handled by one man – Jon Postel. He was known to many as the “god of the internet”, a nod to his power over the internet, as well as his research work in creating some of the systems that underpin networking.

Postel, who died not long after ICANN was created, was in charge of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA).Administration of the IANA was contracted to the newly-formed ICANN, but the U.S.’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), part of the of Department Commerce, kept its final say over what it was able to do.It is that final detail that is set to change from October 1. No longer will the US government — through the NTIA — be able to intervene on matters around internet naming.“It’s a big change,” said Prof Alan Woodward from the University of Surrey. “It marks a transition from an internet effectively governed by one nation to a multi-stakeholder governed internet: a properly global solution for what has become a global asset,” he added.

Asus Zenfone 3 First Impression: Smartphone with refreshing design language

Taiwanese consumer electronics major Asus unveiled the new Zenfone 3 series smartphones at the company’s ‘Z3nvolution’ event in New Delhi on Wednesday. In India, Asus is releasing four Zenfone 3 series variants — the generic Zenfone 3 model, the top-end Deluxe variant, photography-centric Zenfone 3 Laser and the Ultra, a phablet.Soon after the launch, we had our hands on both the generic Zenfone 3 models – the 5.2-inch ZE520KL and the 5.5-inch ZE552KL. Here’s our opinion on
the new phones:

Look and feel:

Though they are the basic version of the Zenfone 3 series, the build quality of the phones is quite good. They come flaunting a blend of metal-and-glass, exuding premium feel. The trademark concentric circles, which used to adorn only the front chin of Zenfone 2, is now integrated on the whole cover on the back, lending it a gorgeous look. Both the versions feature full HD ‘Super LCD’ IPS display. It was a delightful experience to view images and videos on the screen.

Build quality:

Zenfone 3 series houses a high-grade metal frame on the edge with an additional layer of 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 shield on the front and the back to withstand accidental drop. Despite the generous use of metal and glass, the phones are very light to hold.

Performance: Initial impression

e also spent a little time to test the new interface and performance in terms of app loading.
After a lot of complaints, Asus finally ditched bloatwares in its new ZenUI v3.0 (Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow). It is clean and simple to use.
Both the 5.5-inch and 5.2-inch models house the same 14nm FinFET process technology-based Snapdragon 625 SoC (System-on-Chip), but differ in memory configuration. The former features 4GB RAM+64GB storage, while the latter houses 3GB RAM+32GB.Despite the difference in RAM capacity, applications on both the Zenfone 3 models were quick to get launched. We will be doing more detailed performance tests, once we get the review units.

Camera:

Both the models house 16MP camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, ASUS PixelMaster 3.0 camera application, f/2.0, 6-element Largan lens, 0.03 second TriTech Autofocus (Contrast / Phase / 2nd Gen Laser), 4-axis photo OIS, 3-axis video EIS, Color correction sensor, dual-tone LED flash and a 8MP snapper on the front with a 84-degree view of field. The cameras on the phone really impressed us. They took stunning pictures under bright light conditions, but we will pass our final judgement once we get our review units for full-fledged testing in other lighting environments.

dawood

Dawood Ibrahim, the underworld don and the mafia boss of D-company, is unarguably nation’s most-wanted man. Although Dawood is hiding himself away from Mumbai police and Interpol for more than two decades, he never failed to get regarded as don of underworld since then.

The news had it that Dawood’s nephew got married at Nagpada masjid in Mumbai recently. Having known about this information in prior, the Mumbai police has beefed up both security and vigilance at the venue. However, it is later learnt that the most-wanted did not miss the live event, all thanks to live telecast via Skype.

Alerted with those reports, the Mumbai police team were all eyes at Reception event on 18th August, by listing down every detail of his family members. However, Dawood reportedly communicated with his family members via video call and all the efforts were in vain as wide range of security at both marriage and reception failed to gather his clue.

adi

Two struggling Telugu heroes have decided to battle it out at the box office today. Aadi’s Chuttalabbayi and Sushanth’s Aatadukundam Raa are the two notable films that will be fighting it out to give a reprieve to the respective actors.Aadi had impressed the audiences with his movies like Prema Kavali and Lovely before delivering a slew of flops. Now, he is back to test his luck with Chuttalabbayi. In this film, he will be seen sharing the screen space with his father Saikumar. The trailer promised that the movie is filled with loads of entertainment or we can say over the top comedy. There is scope for both Chuttalabbayi and Aatadukundam Raa to score brownies if they offer good content. Let’s wait and see who makes a comeback.
