Dpty CM Catches Hospital Staff Watching Movie

The people who visit government run organizations know better of the callous attitude shown by officials towards public and the amount of leisure time they enjoy keeping the public waiting.Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia has busted the officials of a state govt. run hospital during his random inspection. When Sisodia reached the hospital, he was greeted with a long queue of patients outside and when he entered inside, he could only find vacant chairs and the few present were busy watching movies and indulged in private affairs.
Deputy CM, along with his team caught one member red-handed watching a movie. The person in charge was absent. When they were asked why the patients were kept unattended, the officials were short of answers. The whole incident was caught on video to expose the insensitivity of government hospital staff towards patients.
People opine that untimely inspections must be carried out every now and then to keep the government officials on their heels. If anyone is caught of misusing power and bothering the public, whom they must serve, they must be punished to set an example and clean the public administration system.

NTR Skips ‘Harita Haaram’, KTR Dumps ‘Janatha Garage’?

Makers of NTR’s ‘Janatha Garage’ have reportedly received a rude shock from Telangana IT Minister KTR.Film’s director Koratala Siva and producers had been planning to organize a special premier show of “Janatha Garage” to KTR. They hoped that he would like the film’s theme and promote it as the subject deals with plantation of saplings and protecting ecosystem, which also was the theme of the state government’s recent pet project ‘Harita Haaram’.
As per sources, KTR reportedly has refused the Director’s request to watch the premiere of ‘Janatha Garage’, the reasons well known to him. If one remembers correctly, NTR had not participated in the Harita Haaram program at a time when several Telugu film celebs did their bit to bring awareness among people.
Although NTR knew that his film has the same theme as of ‘Harita Haaram’, he didn’t show interest in lending a helping hand which could have proved beneficial for both the state government’s cause and Janatha Garage’s promotions.
‘Evare’ Falls Short of ‘Malare’

The much awaited ‘Evare’ song from upcoming Telugu romantic drama ‘Premam’ has been just unveiled and we must admit that it sounds quite melodious but falls inches short of the magical ‘Malare’ from the original Malayalam film.
Even though the ‘Evare’ song has same tune of ‘Malare’ composed by Rajesh Murugesan for the original Malayalam ‘Premam’ and sung by the same singer, Vijay Yesudas in best possible melodious manner, it still couldn’t eclipse the original Malare. Netizens are expressing mixed reactions after listening Evare and most of them are voting for Malare.
Penned by Shree Mani, ‘Evare’ is nothing short of an instant hit melody though. While Malare was picturized on Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi, Evare has been picturized on Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan. Movie lovers hope that the video version of Evare will definitely dominate Malare.

Samantha in Damage Control Mode!

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was under fire for her conspicuous absence at the audio launch of Janatha Garage. She received all the flak from the fans of Young Tiger NTR for skipping the do and it further amplified when news had it that she made it to Bangalore on Aug 13 (a day next to Janatha Garage audio event) to launch a food restaurant. This has rubbed salt on the wounds of fans who’re already upset with she skipping the event.
Seems like, Samantha has learnt her mistake and its damage that caused. She is now apparently planning to correct it. If reports are to be believed, Samantha is contemplating to attend the audio launch event of Janatha Garage’s Malayalam version to be held in Kerala. Though she can’t balance with this act of attending the Malayalam version’s audio launch, Sam is of the opinion that she could at least reduce the angst. Needless to say that she is in damage control mode.
Let’s wait and see how far these damage-controlling acts would work.

Image of injured Aleppo boy encapsulates horrors of Syria war

Syrian opposition activists have released haunting footage showing a young boy rescued from the rubble in the aftermath of a devastating air strike in Aleppo. The image of the stunned and weary looking boy, sitting in an orange chair inside an ambulance covered in dust and with blood on his face, encapsulates the horrors inflicted on the war-ravaged northern city and is being widely shared on social media.
A doctor in Aleppo on Thursday identified the boy as 5-year-old Omran Daqneesh. Osama Abu al-Ezz confirmed he was brought to the hospital known as “M10” on Wednesday night following an air strike on the rebel-held neighbourhood of Qaterji with head wounds, but no brain injury, and was later discharged.
Doctors in Aleppo use code names for hospitals, which they say have been systematically targeted by government air strikes. Dr. Abu al-Ezz said they do that “because we are afraid security forces will infiltrate their medical network and target ambulances as they transfer patients from one hospital to another”.
Rescue workers and journalists arrived at Qaterji shortly after the strike and began pulling victims from the rubble.
“We were passing them from one balcony to the other,” said photojournalist Mahmoud Raslan, who took the iconic photo. He said he had passed along three lifeless bodies before receiving the wounded boy.A doctor at M10 later reported eight dead, among them five children. The strike occurred during the sunset call to prayer, around 7.20 p.m., said Mr. Raslan, a correspondent for Al Jazeera Mubashir.
Omran was rescued along with his three siblings, ages 1, 6, and 11, and his mother and father from the rubble of their partially destroyed apartment building, according to Mr. Raslan.
None sustained major injuries, but the building collapsed shortly after the family was rescued.
“We sent the younger children immediately to the ambulance, but the 11-year-old girl waited for her mother to be rescued. Her ankle was pinned beneath the rubble,” Mr. Raslan said.In the video posted late Wednesday by the Aleppo Media Centre, a man is seen plucking the boy away from a chaotic nighttime scene and carrying him inside the ambulance, looking dazed and flat-eyed.The boy then runs his hand over his blood-covered face, looks at his hands and wipes them on the ambulance chair.Activists living in opposition areas rely on informers in the government-controlled Latakia Province to warn residents of impending air strikes.
Hindu Marriage Bill tabled in Pakistan’s National Assembly

The law is expected to put an end to the practice of abduction of married Hindu women and curtail forced conversions. After decades of delay and inaction, the much-debated Hindu Marriage Bill 2016 that seeks to give a legal framework to the marriages in minority community, has finally been tabled in Pakistan’s National Assembly.
The report of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice on the Hindu Marriage Bill 2016 was presented in the National Assembly on Wednesday and is just one step away from being approved as the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party is supporting it.
Around 10 months to clear the bill
Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Ramesh Lal, one of the bill’s movers, said it took around 10 months for the committee to clear the bill and another six months for its report to be presented in the house. The bill was approved by the standing committee on February 8.“The delay was possibly because of extraordinary debates and discussion around the bill, but at least now the government should consider tabling it in the house in the next session,” ‘Dawn online’ quoted Mr. Lal as saying.
All segments consulted
According to the chairman of the committee, Chaudhry Bashir Virk: “All segments — including the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) — were consulted during the course of discussions in the committee.”However, some members of the Hindu community have expressed strong reservations regarding some of the bill’s contents including clause 12 on the ‘Termination of Hindu marriage’ and clause 15 on the ‘Termination of Hindu marriage by mutual consent.’The draft bill allows separated individuals to remarry, and clause 17 states that a Hindu widow is entitled to remarry and shall have the right to do so, of her own will and consent, after a period of six months since the death of her husband.
End to abductions?
The bill is expected to put an end to the practice of abduction of married Hindu women.
“There are penalties for violating the provisions of this act and anyone who kidnaps a married Hindu woman will be liable to punishments after this law is approved, because the victim’s family will be able to show proof of marriage,” Mr. Virk said.
‘May curtail forced conversions’
The bill is also expected to curtail forced conversions because it will allow the registration of Hindu marriages in the relevant government departments, the report has said.Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have consented to the federal government formulating a Hindu marriage law that they would then adopt, while Sindh had formulated its own Hindu marriage registration law.
