It is known that Akhil has recently announced that Hanu Raghvapudi of ‘Andala Rakshasi’ and ‘Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gadha’ fame will direct his second film. Although the script work is ready, the project will be launched only on August 29. Meanwhile, the makers are busy looking for the lead heroine and other actors.

After the disaster of his debut film ‘Akhil’, the young Akkineni scion took a long time to green signal his second film. Although Vamsi Paidipally was thought to direct his 2nd film, somehow Hanu Raghavapudi came into picture. The new film is said to be a stylish love story with sufficient action quotient. Akhil hopes to bounce back with this project.

Superstar Rajinikanth is missing from action for the last two months. He completed the dubbing of Kabali and flew to the United States where he underwent some medical procedures, according to the sources. He totally gave a miss to all the promotions of Kabali and came back to Chennai only after the movie release.

When Rajinikanth is away, Shankar with out wasting the time, shot the portions which do not need him in Talakona. Rajinikanth will be joining the team in the next schedule which will happen in Chennai in the second week of this month. 2.0 shooting is more than 60% complete and is looking at 2017 release.

Bollywood Star Hero Akshay Kumar was roped in to play an important role. The movie is being shot in 3D made with top technicians from all over the globe making it a complete world class film. Oscar Award Music Director AR Rahman will be composing music for the film. Rest of the crew include crew cinematographer Nirav Shah, Art Director Muthuraj, VFX Supervisor Srinvas Mohan, Editor Antony and Rasool Pookutty handling the Sound Designing. They have also roped in two Hollywood stunt coordinators to supervise the fights.

Super star Rajnikanth’s ‘Kabali’ which released last Friday, opened to mixed talk. Nonetheless, thanks to Rajni’s super stardom, it broke all the existing Day 1 records and collected over 80 crores worldwide. With this many thought that it would break ‘Baahubali’ records in no time.

But, the collections faced a huge drop from Tuesday and theatres were not getting filled. The film till now had a gross of over 172 crores in India and 90 crores abroad. After this week, the collection may reach 300 crores but it failed to reach ‘Baahubali’ records and will just reach half of its collections.

On the other hand, ‘Kabali’ producer Kalaipuli S Thanu said that they would make a sequel of ‘Kabali’ if Rajni permits. They have left the film unfinished for that purpose said the producer. We need to wait and see if this sequel goes on floors or not.

If the buzz emerging from Filmnagar is to be believed, Koratala Siva had shot two different climaxes for the Telugu and Malayalam versions of Janatha Garage. The Malayalam version will have Mohanlal centric climax keeping his image in mind. This will improve the movie chances in Kerala, the makers feel.

The Kerala schedule of the film will begin tomorrow Kerala where a song will be canned in the exotic locales of the state. All the three versions of the film in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam will have a simultaneous release on September 2nd. Post Production works are also being completed simultaneously.

Samantha and Nithya Menon are the female leads in the film. The audio launch of the film is likely to happen on August 12th. Kajal Aggarwal is going to be item girl for NTR in this film. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer. Koratala Siva is wielding megaphone for this commercial entertainer.

Kamal Hassan had completed the shooting of his Vishwaroopam-2 a long ago except for some little work. His other films, Uttama Villain, Papanashanam and Cheekati Rajyam which were made after that, already released and Kamal recently began the shooting of his other film, Sabash Naidu.

Kamal Hassan faced huge issues before the release of Vishwaroopam and so he sold of Vishwaroopam-2 distribution rights to Aascar Ravichandran. However the senior producer is in deep financial crisis after the failure of Shankar’s I and is now unable to release Vishwaroopam-2. We are said that Lyca Productions, the production house behind Rajinikanth’s 2.0 and Kamal Haasan’s Sabash Naidu, is contemplating to take over the project.

Only a small patchwork including a song is left to be completed. If every thing goes well, the agreement will be signed very soon. The film has an ensemble cast consisting veteran actors like Rahul Bose and Shekhar Kapoor. Pooja Kumar, who was also seen in Kamal’s Uttama Villain, will be seen romancing Kamal in the film. The music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed music for the film.
