The blockbuster success of Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Boyapati Sreenivas’ summer mass masala treat, Sarrainodu, is a huge surprise to fans and trade circles. Produced by Allu Aravind, Sarrainodu released in April to utterly poor reviews and terrible word of mouth.

Critics and audiences panned the film’s routine and lackluster content and people even wondered if the high dosage of action elements will prove detrimental to the film being discarded by family audiences.

However, the film braved the mixed talk, utilised the summer advantage to the fullest and even gave a ‘Sarraina’ punch to critics by collecting more than 75 crores worldwide share, becoming the 4th highest earner in Tollywood’s history. The film set non-Baahubali records in entire AP, Vizag, West Godavari and Kerala.
