US President’s ditches Blackberry for highly secured Android device

The White House is very high on security and all the officials there have to be careful in maintaining high security standards. In fact, the White House staff rely heavily on Blackberry devices as they are highly secure.While Blackberry’s presence in the smartphone market is almost negligible, it is the only device that is used in the president’s palace.However, with numerous technological enhancements over the years, regular smartphones running on varied operating systems have significantly improved and current US President Barrack Obama has also shifted from the BlackBerry 8830 he got after taking office in 2009.

In a recent appearance on Jimmy Falon’s talk show, Obama said that he now uses a highly-secure smartphone.While he did not reveal the smartphone’s name, a report by Ars Technica pointed out that there is only one mobile device supported by Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is the outfit that provides communication service to the White House.Surprisingly, the device is a highly-secured Galaxy S4, supported under DISA’s DOD Mobility Classified Capability-Secret (DMCC-S) program.

However, this Samsung S4 is nothing like the regular Android version that is available at large. The DMCC-S certified handset manipulates a lot of stock features—uses biometric authentication, no camera support, no self-snapping in secure facilities. Moreover, the Android apps on the DMCC-S Galaxy S4 is restricted to a selection from DISA’s Mobile Application Store.The DMCC-S S$ can be used for standard domestic and international calling as well as VoIP calls. E-mail access on DMCC-S devices is offered through secure Outlook Web Access, according to revealed information.However, as Obama put it, the device given to him is much more knotted when it comes to security. He told during the talk show that he can’t even make calls using the device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date, specs: Mass production set to start; 5M units to be rolled out

Samsung Electronics is reportedly planning to start mass production of its upcoming device dubbed as the Galaxy Note 7 aka Galaxy Note 6 as its release date is drawing close. The company is expected to make millions of units available for purchase on the day of its launch.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be released in the third quarter of this year. It is reported that the device will be released on Aug. 2, contradicting earlier claim made by leakster Evan Blass aka @evleaks that the device will be launched in the United States on Aug.15. The release date is not confirmed yet but it may come at around this time, as the Galaxy Note 5 will be completing a year’s cycle in the market in August.

According to a report by South Korean website ETNews (via PhoneArena), Samsung is planning to manufacture 5 million units of the Galaxy Note 7 for initial supply — 2.5 million units in July and another 2.5 million in August – and the mass production should begin by July. It went on to say that next-generation device will come with a dual-curve display.The company appears to be expecting big from its upcoming “next big thing” as it took three months to produce 5 million units of the Galaxy Note 5 that was released last year.

It is reported that the Galaxy Note 7 will sport a 5.8-inch display with 2,560×1,440 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, comes packed with a 64GB/128GB internal memory and a 10 nanometer 6GB RAM, and has a 4,000mAh battery. NapiDroid (via SamMobile) has reported that “user agent profile of Galaxy Note 6 model SM-N930A” shows the device running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, giving a hint that it may not run Google’s new operating system Android N.

There are conflicting reports on the camera of the upcoming device with some section of the media claiming that it may mount a 12MP main camera with features like f/1.7 aperture, 26mm, OIS, 1/2.6″ sensor size and 1.4 µm pixel size, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/1.7 aperture, the same that is seen in the recently launched Galaxy S7. However, a report by Chinese website Zol (via Pocket-lint) has claimed citing industry sources that the Galaxy Note 7 edge version will feature a dual camera.

However rumours are rife in Filmnagar that the film is based on Rajasekhar starrer Vetagadu which happens to be the remake of Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s cult hit Baazigar. The team claims that it is not true and such rumors propped up only because his role has negative shades in the film.

Nani plays Jai who runs a big business. He is seen as a romantic and responsible guy in the movie touted to be a different film.
