The White House is very high on security and all the officials there have to be careful in maintaining high security standards. In fact, the White House staff rely heavily on Blackberry devices as they are highly secure. While Blackberry’s presence in the smartphone market is almost negligible, it is the only device that is used in the president’s palace. However, with numerous technological enhancements over the years, regular smartphones running on varied operating systems have significantly improved and current US President Barrack Obama has also shifted from the BlackBerry 8830 he got after taking office in 2009.
In a recent appearance on Jimmy Falon’s talk show, Obama said that he now uses a highly-secure smartphone. While he did not reveal the smartphone’s name, a report by Ars Technica pointed out that there is only one mobile device supported by Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is the outfit that provides communication service to the White House.Surprisingly, the device is a highly-secured Galaxy S4, supported under DISA’s DOD Mobility Classified Capability-Secret (DMCC-S) program.
However, this Samsung S4 is nothing like the regular Android version that is available at large. The DMCC-S certified handset manipulates a lot of stock features—uses biometric authentication, no camera support, no self-snapping in secure facilities. Moreover, the Android apps on the DMCC-S Galaxy S4 is restricted to a selection from DISA’s Mobile Application Store. The DMCC-S S$ can be used for standard domestic and international calling as well as VoIP calls. E-mail access on DMCC-S devices is offered through secure Outlook Web Access, according to revealed information. However, as Obama put it, the device given to him is much more knotted when it comes to security. He told during the talk show that he can’t even make calls using the device.
In the quest for a full day usage, many smartphone hunters are in need of a device that has a longer battery life. Since many of us travel a lot during the day, finding a place to plug in a charger is scarce and at times almost impossible. This forces them to either carry additional batteries or tag along a bulky power bank. So the best option is to hunt for a smartphone with a larger battery rating so that you can use the phone on a single charge for the whole day. However, smartphone battery life is completely dependent on the operating system optimisation, apps you install and use, the network conditions, and the amount of use each time. In short, it all depends on your usage. Nevertheless, we bring you 13 smartphones that have a sufficiently large battery with a minimum of 4000mAh.

Samsung Electronics is reportedly planning to start mass production of its upcoming device dubbed as the Galaxy Note 7 aka Galaxy Note 6 as its release date is drawing close. The company is expected to make millions of units available for purchase on the day of its launch.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be released in the third quarter of this year. It is reported that the device will be released on Aug. 2, contradicting earlier claim made by leakster Evan Blass aka @evleaks that the device will be launched in the United States on Aug.15. The release date is not confirmed yet but it may come at around this time, as the Galaxy Note 5 will be completing a year’s cycle in the market in August.
According to a report by South Korean website ETNews (via PhoneArena), Samsung is planning to manufacture 5 million units of the Galaxy Note 7 for initial supply — 2.5 million units in July and another 2.5 million in August – and the mass production should begin by July. It went on to say that next-generation device will come with a dual-curve display. The company appears to be expecting big from its upcoming “next big thing” as it took three months to produce 5 million units of the Galaxy Note 5 that was released last year.
It is reported that the Galaxy Note 7 will sport a 5.8-inch display with 2,560×1,440 pixels, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, comes packed with a 64GB/128GB internal memory and a 10 nanometer 6GB RAM, and has a 4,000mAh battery. NapiDroid (via SamMobile) has reported that “user agent profile of Galaxy Note 6 model SM-N930A” shows the device running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, giving a hint that it may not run Google’s new operating system Android N.
There are conflicting reports on the camera of the upcoming device with some section of the media claiming that it may mount a 12MP main camera with features like f/1.7 aperture, 26mm, OIS, 1/2.6″ sensor size and 1.4 µm pixel size, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/1.7 aperture, the same that is seen in the recently launched Galaxy S7. However, a report by Chinese website Zol (via Pocket-lint) has claimed citing industry sources that the Galaxy Note 7 edge version will feature a dual camera.
Controversies are not anything new for Ram Gopal Varma. The ace director in fact, always searches for controversies and intentionally indulge in them. We have seen them quite often. Those who are following him in Twitter will know that better than any others. Such radical, Ramu becomes on the social networking site.
Ram Gopal Varma is facing the heat for some tweets he made way back in 2014. Those tweets are in bad taste and are allegedly poking fun of Lord Ganesha during Ganesh Chaturthi that year. With 2016 Vinayaka Chathurthi round the corner, Ram Gopal Varma got legal notices now for those tweets.
A person called Viveck Shetty (MD of Indus Communications and Head of Media Cell, Consumer Guidance Society of India) has filed a complaint against the controversial director under IPC and IT Act alleging that his tweets on the physical attributes of Lord Ganesha questioning his abilities is hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. A Mumbai Magistrate Court initiated legal process against RGV and asked him appear in court or respond by July 19.
Jagapathi Babu is known to be a playboy in Film industry. There are stories about him squandering money in Casinos of America just for pleasure and friends. The actor faced severe hardships at one point and had to put his assets on sale. Later he started his second innings with Legend and is one of the busiest actors down the South.
Such Jagapathi Babu is turning devotional now. Rumours are rife that he will be seen in a pivotal role in Nagarjuna’s devotional next, Om Namo Venkatesa. The film will have its launch on 29th of this month. The film’s regular shoot will begin from the first week of July. The makers are erecting a set resembling ancient Tirupati in Annapurna Studios.
The film is on Lord Venkateswara Swamy and his famous disciple, Hathi Rambabaji. The script work is complete. If the reports emerging from Filmnagar are to be believed, Anushka Shetty is roped in for Nagarjuna’s devotional venture, Om Namo Venkatesa. Sources say that the actress will seen in a complete de-glamour role in the film and will be playing the role of Sanyasin in the film. But sources say the character will have lot of scope for acting.
Goa beauty Ileana reined Telugu film industry once. She shifted to Mumbai with a bid to garner a career in Bollywood. The actress who is totally disconnect with Hyderabad over the last few years, came to Hyderabad the other day for a Showroom opening. In a media interaction on this occasion, Ileana voiced her opinion about Gays.
“I have so many Gay friends. Being a gay, should not be the reason to isolate them and look at them cheaply. We all have a wrong notion about them by watching films. But they are very much normal like all of us,” Ileana said. The slender beauty’s career in Bollywood however is not progressing on expected lines with the actress barely getting any offers.
Even those fewer offers she get, are not working well at the box office not helping her career. On this occasion, the actress said that she is missing Hyderabad as she started her career here. When asked about her being not reachable to Telugu film makers, the actress said they will definitely find a way to reach her, if they thinks that she is suitable to some role in their film.
Natural Star Nani is all set to try his luck once again at the box office tomorrow with his next, Gentleman. Nani is aggressively promoting the film claiming that he took the path of experimentation to offer a different film for the audience. For this he team up with his Ashta Chamma director Indraganti Mohanakrishna after about eight years.
However rumours are rife in Filmnagar that the film is based on Rajasekhar starrer Vetagadu which happens to be the remake of Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s cult hit Baazigar. The team claims that it is not true and such rumors propped up only because his role has negative shades in the film.
Nani plays Jai who runs a big business. He is seen as a romantic and responsible guy in the movie touted to be a different film. Indraganti Mohana Krishna who delivered several critically acclaimed films in this past, is wielding megaphone for this movie. Surabhi and Niveda Thomas are romancing Nani.
