Chay’s Smart Escape On First Love
Ever since Samantha announced in a recent interview that she’s in love and that she will get married soon and settle down in life, gossipmongers in T-town have been abuzz that the lucky man in Sam’s life is no one else but her most favorite co-star Naga Chaitanya.
A lot has been said and written about Chay and Sam since then. However, Chay has been maintaining stoic silence over these gossips. He even skipped a couple of important events just to avoid media glare. But last night Chay attended the audio launch function of his film Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo.
Even during the event, Chay had to face a few embarrassing moments. The event’s host Suma was asking all the guests about the interesting incidents and adventures in their first love. When it was Chay’s turn, the actor smartly escaped ignoring Suma’s questions.Chay apparently didn’t even show any interest in interacting with the media people before or after the audio launch function. Chay kept his speech simple and hailed AR Rahman and expressed his happiness on working with the musical genius for the second time.
‘Lost With Lingaa? Don’t Fool Us’
Superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Kabali’ is getting ready for July release and the Tamil version audio is already out in the market. From the past one year, ‘Lingaa’ distributors in Tamil Nadu didn’t stop blaming Rajinikanth for the film’s failure and they have been demanding money from the Superstar. Though ‘Lingaa’ grossed 100 crores from all the languages, distributors from Tamil Nadu claim that they have lost huge amounts on the film.
Now, they are threatening to stop the release of ‘Kabali’ too. Irked with this, ‘Kabali’ producer spoke to the Tamil media and he said, “Nobody in Tamil Nadu is foolish enough to believe that distributors lost money on ‘Lingaa’. It has got nothing to do with ‘Kabali’ and our film will hit the screens across the globe on the scheduled date”.
Kabali will have a huge release in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi languages on July 15, 2016. Radhika Apte is the lead actress opposite to Rajinikanth and Pa Ranjith has directed this action entertainer.
In 50-State US Presidential race, not all are equal
The likely Donald Trump-Hillary Clinton race won’t be a contest over who can win the most votes nationwide. U.S. presidential contests are essentially simultaneous, winner-take-all State elections to choose electors. Whoever wins a majority of electoral votes that’s 270 votes wins the presidency.
A State’s share of electoral votes is roughly related to its population. So it would seem logical for candidates to focus their attention on the most populous States, which offer the most electoral votes. But that’s not the case. Many of the biggest States are reliably Democratic or Republican, so campaigns don’t waste much time on them. Instead, they focus on States less predictably Democratic or Republican, the so-called battleground States. The Associated Press explains what battleground States are and why they are important.
The red, the blue and the purple
American political junkies look at the map of the United States and see a patchwork of mostly red and blue. Red States are the ones that usually vote Republican, such as Texas and Wyoming. Blue States are reliably Democratic, such as New York and Vermont. But there are also spots of purple. About a dozen of the 50 States are not consistently red or blue. Those are the battleground States. The biggest are Florida and Ohio. Those are the States that often effectively decide elections.
The map gives a clear advantage to Ms. Clinton, the presumed Democratic nominee. If she captures all of the States that have voted solidly Democratic in the last six presidential elections, she would start out with 242 electoral votes. Mr. Trump, the presumptive nominee, would start with just 102. That number is higher, though, if States that voted Republican in the last four elections are included.Even with Ms. Clinton’s advantage, she can’t reach the 270 votes without winning some battleground States. Or at least one. If she keeps the 242 electoral votes and wins Florida too, she wins the presidency.
All votes are not equal
California has 55 electoral votes. New Hampshire has four. Yet presidential campaigns may try harder to woo voters in New Hampshire than in California. That’s because New Hampshire is a battleground State. California isn’t.Mr. Trump says he can win California, but the odds are against him. The State has voted overwhelmingly for Democrats in the last six presidential elections and there’s little indication that will change. New Hampshire leans Democratic, but the votes there have been closer and a Ms. Clinton win isn’t assured.
There’s little incentive for either Ms. Clinton or Mr. Trump to spend precious time and money on States where the outcome appears to be a foregone conclusion. New Hampshire is another matter. That doesn’t mean States like California are ignored altogether — Candidates do swing by for fund-raising.
Blue is the new purple
The political map is in a perpetual State of flux, especially because of population shifts.California, which had Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Republican Governors, was once a battleground State. An influx of Democratic-leaning Hispanic voters now makes it very hard for Republicans to compete in presidential elections.North Carolina and Virginia had been solidly Republican. Now they are swing States. West Virginia used to be solidly Democratic. Now it leans Republican.
Candidates often talk about remaking the political map. This year is no different. Mr. Trump says he can win over blue-collar voters in northern industrial States like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, which have been reliably Democratic. Ms. Clinton’s supporters suggest she could win in Republican strongholds like Georgia with the help of an increasingly engaged African-American population, or even conservative Utah, where the large Mormon population has shown disdain for Mr. Trump.Sometimes it’s worthwhile for campaigns to target a rival’s State even if a win is unlikely. Campaigns try to force rivals to defend the rival’s turf while their own candidate focuses on battleground States the ones that really swing elections.
Fact Sheet: The Game Goes On
How long can Venkaiah Naidu keep fooling the BJP? He was in AP recently and Chandrababu Naidu once again felicitated him. This has become a ritual because there is a ceremony every time that Venkaiah visits AP as if he is Saina Nehwal doing India proud by winning championships abroad.
And Venkaiah on such ocassions praises Chandrababu to the skies and vice-versa. But the very next day, he was in Telangana and said that neither Telangana nor AP are promoting the schemes of the Centre.Clearly, Venkaiah has made a career for himself by following the policy of ‘Horses for courses’. Nevertheless, how long will it take the BJP to realise that Venkaiah is a man who would rather serve Chandrababu rather than the BJP or the RSS?
Will they ever realise that Venkaiah’s primary loyalty lies towards himself and his community above all and what exactly has been the contribution of Venkaiah to the development of AP?For having gone back on the promise of special status, he is being felicitated by Naidu? And that explains the scenario in AP!

No US Audio launch for Janatha Garage?
The makers of Young Tiger NTR’s Janatha Garage have earlier planned the audio release event of the film in USA to make sure the movie gets good buzz in Overseas. Hillary Clinton calls for strong gun control laws
Amid a spate of shootings in the U.S., presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has called for strong gun control laws and plugging the loopholes in the rules that are currently prevailing. In an open letter on the first anniversary of Charleston church massacre and less than a week after the horrific shooting in Orlando, Ms. Clinton said an average of 90 people a day are killed by gun violence in our country.
“This must stop. A good first step is closing the ‘Charleston Loophole’ in our gun laws, which allows a person otherwise prohibited from buying a gun —— such as a domestic abuser or other violent criminal —— to buy one if a background check isn’t completed within three business days,” Ms. Clinton said.
“This loophole allowed the alleged Charleston shooter to buy his gun despite his prior arrest record. How many more innocent people need to be cut down before we act and close this dangerous loophole?” she asked.Last year nine churchgoers, all African-American, were shot by a young, white man who entered their Charleston, South Carolina, church, joined their Bible study for an hour and then opened fire.
“On that terrible evening and every day since, Americans across the country have joined our hearts with the people of Charleston and South Carolina. Millions of Americans are still walking with them —— in grief, solidarity and determination,” Ms. Clinton said.“In the spirit of the Charleston Nine, let’s bridge our divides, fight for change and remember that love never fails,” Ms. Clinton said. Her remarks come just days after the attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, in which Afghan-origin gunman Omar Mateen massacred 49 people.
Logan Marshall-Green in talks for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming;’ 5 characters the ‘Prometheus’ actor might play in the movie
Recent reports have stated that Logan Marshall-Green is being considered to join the cast of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) next instalment, “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” It is a joint venture between Sony and Marvel Studios. As reported by Comic Book, the actor is most probably in talks to join the movie in a villainous role along with Michael Keaton, who has been confirmed to play the antagonist, Vulture. Though exactly what role Marshall-Green would be playing in the movie is not yet confirmed, here are five characters from the Spider-Man comic books that he might be portraying in the film:
Shocker/Herman Shultz
Shocker is one of the most favourite villains in Spider-Man comics. The character has never appeared in any movies of the franchise and will definitely be a great addition to Michael Keaton’s Vulture. He is known for his yellow patchwork suit and has shock-wave gauntlets as his primary superpowers.
Kraven/Sergei Kravinoff
Kraven a.k.a. Sergei Kravinoff is one of the most threatening enemies of Spidey and has inflicted life threatening blows to the web-slinger on a number of occasions. Introducing Marshall-Green as the Kraven in the very first movie of the planned franchise will definitely boost the story and will be helpful in the long run.
The Chameleon/Dimitri Smerdyakov
The Chameleon has the powers of camouflage, which means he can transform into anyone without leaving any traces. Though he has troubled Spider-Man on several occasions in the comic books, he was never among the topmost villains. Hence, Marshall-Green’s portrayal of the character can put him in the top league.
Mysterio/Quentin Beck
Mysterio is one of the long-awaited villains that fans have been eagerly waiting to see in a Spider-Man movie. It was speculated that Bruce Campbell, who made several cameo appearances in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, was to appear as Mysterio in the fourth instalment. However, the movie never happened. A possessor of psychological and special effects tricks, Mysterio is one of the most iconic villains in Spider-Man comics’ history.
Alistair Smythe
Alistair Smythe is a prominent antagonist in the Spider-Man franchise and is mostly depicted as the leader of Spider-Slayers; mechanical creatures specially designed to kill Spider-Man. The character appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and was portrayed by B.J. Novak. However, since the franchise has been rebooted, Marshall-Green will surely do justice to the character if he gets to portray it.
Chicago man shot dead while live streaming on Facebook
A Chicago man was shot and killed while live streaming a video on Facebook, police said on Friday, just days after a double-homicide in France in which the killer later took to Facebook Live to encourage more violence.Antonio Perkins, 28, was found face down on Wednesday night in a vacant lot with gunshot wounds to the neck and head on the city’s west side, Chicago police officer Laura Amezaga said. Perkins was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police on Friday identified the man in the video as Perkins, who they said was a documented gang member. No arrests have been made.
In France, a 25-year-old man killed a French police commander and the commander’s partner on Tuesday, then he took to Facebook Live with a 12-minute video encouraging followers to kill prison staff, police officials, journalists and lawmakers. The incidents underscore the immense challenges companies such as Facebook, Twitter and Google’s YouTube face as they push live video streaming to hundreds of millions of people. Facebook in recent months has made its Live feature – which allows anyone to broadcast a video in real time – a central component of its strategy. It allows people to stream from their smartphone.
Chicago, the third-largest US city, has drawn attention due to its gun violence, which police have blamed largely on gang violence and a proliferation of stolen guns. There were nearly 500 homicides last year, and gun violence is up in 2016, police say.The Facebook Live video appears to show Perkins recording himself and a group of people in front of a row of homes before someone opened fire. The phone appears to tumble through bloody grass before going black. The audio continues with bystanders screaming and crying.
The video remains on Facebook with a user warning message about its graphic nature. A spokeswoman from Facebook acknowledged the video posting, saying it does not violate company policy. The social media site will remove a video if it celebrates or glorifies violence, she said.
Premam to wrap up in Norway
Premam team is heading to Norway for the last schedule of the film. The schedule there will begin on Monday and the team will be canning the last two songs of the film there. We are said that plans are on to release the audio of the film on July 23rd. Few days ago, there is a buzz that Naga Chaitanya’s Premam and NTR’s Janatha Garage will clash at the box office on August 12th as Independence day Special.
August 12th is a very beneficial date since there is a long weekend due to Independence day holiday on Monday and then there is one more holiday in the first week due to Raksha Bandhan. However it is emerging that Naga Chaitanya is contemplating to avoid the clash and Premam may be pushed to August 25th, maintaining a good two weeks gap with Janatha Garage.
In a way, it is good for both the films. Chaitanya will be seen as Vikram in the film while Shruti Hassan will be seen as Sitara in the movie. Karthikeya fame Chandoo Mondeti is wielding megaphone for this remake film. Premam girls – Anupama Parameshwaran and Madonna Sebastine are also acting in this film.
DxO looks at Canon EOS 80D; is it better than Nikon D7200?
Canon launched the EOS 80D in February this year as a replacement to Canon EOS 70D. The new camera featured an all-new 24.2 MP sensor and a 45-point autofocus (AF) system. DxO Labs finished reviewing the camera this week and have given it an overall score of 79.While Nikon cameras have featured sensors with resolutions in excess of 20 MP and have long broken the 9-point AF barrier, with the EOS 80D, it seems like Canon’s is more ready than ever to take on Nikon.
The outgoing EOS 70D featured a 20.8 MP sensor and a 19-point AF system. DxO gave the 70D an overall score of 68, which means that Canon has really done a fabulous job with the 80D. While the EOS 70D ranked 142nd globally, the 80D is ranked 66th.Digging a little deeper into the numbers, one can find that Canon EOS 80D fares better than the 7D Mark II as well. In fact, the 80D is Canon’s best camera with an APS-C sensor.
In its review, DxO Labs compared the EOS 80D with the EOS 70D and the flagship EOS 7D Mark II. While the new camera fared better across all parameters, DxO Labs noted that the camera didn’t show consistency in its performance. While the colour sensitivity and the dynamic range were good at low ISOs, as the sensitivity was bumped, the EOS 80D showed a steady drop in performance. While it may seem like Canon has got a winner on its hands, once the camera is compared to other devices in the market, it’s easy to notice that EOS 80D leaves a lot to be desired. Ranked 66th, all three generation of cameras in Nikon’s 7000 series have fared better than Canon EOS 80D.
Nikon D7000 received an overall score of 80, the D7100 scored 83 and the D7200 scored 87, putting them at ranks 56, 35 and 24, respectively. When DxO compared the EOS 80D with Nikon D7200 and Sony A6300, it found that both the Sony and the Nikon had better colour sensitivity across the ISOs. With regard to dynamic range, even though Nikon D7200’s performance begins to drop somewhere between ISO 1600 and 3200, it is only beyond ISO 12,800 that the two cameras match.DxO is still optimistic in its review, saying that landscape photographers will find the EOS 80D’s performance to suit their requirements. DxO hailed Canon EOS 80D as “Dynamic performer.”
