When Smriti Irani Embarrassed Purandeshwari..
Former union minister and presently Bharatiya Janata Party leader Daggubati Purandeshwari had to face embarrassing moments when she was forced to translate the speech of Union Minister for Human Resources Development Smriti Irani at Vijayawada a couple of days ago.Smriti was in Vijayawada to address the people as part of Vikas Parv (Development celebrations.Compared to Smriti, Purandeshwari is quite senior in politics and she had held the same portfolio which Smriti is holding now, when she was in the UPA.
Naturally, Purandeshwari, who had commanded a lot of respect during the UPA regime as daughter of N T Ram Rao had to feel a lot of inconvenience when she was reduced to the level of a translator in the NDA regime. What was more embarrassing for Purandeshwari was that she had to translate the statements of Smriti criticising the Congress party and the previous UPA government in harsh words; especially the neglect of higher education in the country. In a way, Purandeshwari was forced to criticise her own role in the UPA government.
And what was worse, Smriti was all praise for AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his efficient government. And Purandeshwari had no choice but to translate the same sentences verbatim praising Naidu, whom she hates the most. What a tragedy!

Forget Amaravati, KCR Village To Become Singapore!
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu might have claimed a number of times that he would build the new capital of Amaravati on the lines of Singapore; and might have engaged Singapore consultants to build the capital city.
But, he has a competitor back in the neighbouring state of Telangana – Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
On Friday, KCR declared that he would make his village Erravelli in Medak district as another Singapore.
“I am not going to rest till Erravelli becomes another Singapore with the help of villagers and the government support,” he said, while addressing the gathering in the village where his farmhouse is located.
How can it become Singapore? Well, KCR says all the residents of the village would get double-bedroom houses shortly. Each household will be given two buffaloes and 10 hen on the day of Gruhapravesham. Besides, all the houses will be provided with LED bulbs.
That’s all; the village will look like Singapore. Are you convinced?
