OnePlus 3 to be available invite-free: Carl Pei
OnePlus is all set to launch its fourth smartphone on June 14 and the device has already been subjected to numerous leaks and rumours. As the launch date approaches closer, the company’s co-founder Carl Pei has indicated that the OnePlus 3 will be sold invite-free, right from the day of launch. This will be the first time that the company will be launching a device without the need of an invite. Moreover, Pei also said in the blog that there the company is doing away with its invite policy forever and future handsets will also be available with out any conditions.”We’re releasing the OnePlus 3 invite-free, right from launch day. In addition, invites are gone forever from future OnePlus product launches,” Pei said.
Pointing out that the company had to stick to an invite-first policy when it started off, Pei said, “The invite system has a special place in our history. When we first started out, our team was incredibly small. We had no idea what the demand of the OnePlus One would look like. We also weren’t fans of flash sales, where there’s a risk of everything selling out immediately, forcing fans to wait indefinitely. To address this, we designed the invite system to give customers a chance to purchase a phone as soon as we had inventory ready.”He further added that the invite system allowed the team to scale thier operations and manage risks to help the company mature. However, Pei noted that the company will no longer follow an invite-first police for all future devices starting from the OnePlus 3.
Lastly, he invited individuals from all round the globe for the official launch of the OnePlus 3 on the Loop VR. “We’re excited to invite you to the Loop for the official launch of the OnePlus 3 on June 14. Make sure you don’t miss out on the grand unveiling,” he added. The live stream of the launch event in India will start 10.00 pm sharp on June 14.
Back To Jagan? YSRCP’s Daydream
At least 17 of his MLAs have given a rude shock to Jagan and defected to TDP, with a few more ready to quit the party in the near future. While the defected MLAs are yet to get adjusted to their new groove in TDP, the YSRCP seems to be daydreaming that the defected MLAs will return to their own party.
Yesterday, YSRCP MLAs Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Prathap Kumar Reddy and Sanjeevaiah said that six defected YSRCP MLAs are constantly in touch with them again. The confident MLAs also said that those who defected into TDP are now regretting for betraying Jagan.
However, the three MLAs refused to reveal the names of the six defected YSRCP MLAs who are keen on returning their own fort and said that they will divulge names at an appropriate time to counter Chandrababu.Recently, there were reports that a few YSRCP MLAs faced discomfort when they were invited to a party meeting at Babu’s residence but their mobile phones were taken by Babu’s security men. In this backdrop, the YSRCP MLAs claims have gained importance.
Owed To Naidu, Attracted To KCR – TDP MP
TDP MP from Malkajgiri Parliament constituency CH Malla Reddy said that he owes his political life to TDP President Chandrababu Naidu for allotting MP ticket in the 2014 general elections.
Though he joined TRS attracted by Telangana CM KCR’s aim to transform the newly formed T state as ‘Golden Telangana’, Malla Reddy said he admired Naidu’s administrative skills and his vision a lot.He hoped that the two states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, would develop at a fast pace under the leadership of KCR and Naidu.
The lone MP elected from TDP in Telangana, Malla Reddy switched loyalties to TRS in the presence of KCR at camp office here. Political circles are abuzz that Reddy would be given a key role in the party to strengthen TRS in Greater Hyderabad.
Bhuma Bails Out Naidu, Takes The Blame!
YSR Congress party MLA from Nandyal Bhuma Nagi Reddy, who had defected to the Telugu Desam Party recently, has come to the rescue of TDP chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who had to cut a sorry figure after making an abortive attempt to field a fourth candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections to defeat YSRC candidate V Vijay Sai Reddy.Bhuma told media persons that the idea of fielding a fourth candidate in the RS polls was not that of Naidu, but that of the YSRC MLAs who had joined the TDP.
“We have brought pressure on the Chief Minister to field the fourth candidate, as we had confidence to get him elected. Though Naidu agreed with our view that Vijay Sai Reddy should not go to Rajya Sabha because of the CBI cases against him, he did not like the idea of fielding the fourth candidate. He bluntly told us that he was not interested in such kind of victories through indirect methods,” Bhuma said.
In a way, Bhuma sought to give clean chit to Naidu and project him in good light. However, it is not sure whether Bhuma would get the cabinet berth with such tactics.
Who Is KCR’s Successor?
This question has been doing rounds in the political and media circles ever since the TRS came to power in the new state of Telangana in 2014.The general impression given to everybody is that KCR’s son and IT minister K T Rama Rao will be the natural heir of the party and he would succeed his father as the Chief Minister in 2019, if not now. Even KCR’s daughter and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha made it clear that KTR is the heir apparent of the party.
However, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has brushed aside the speculations. He bluntly told the media that there was no need for anybody to debate or speculate on the successor of KCR.“What is the need to talk about KCR’s successor now? He is going to continue as the Chief Minister of Telangana for another 20 years. So, the question of KCR’s successor does not arise now, at all,” he said.
By saying so, Harish has given a clear indication that he would not accept KTR as the successor of KCR and that anybody can be in the race after 20 years. This is really interesting and might kick up a war for power in the coming days, say sources.
