From the stage when releasing a Telugu film in America is itself considered as a success, Tollywood industry expanded its market in the overseas drastically. A film like ‘Baahubali’ collected almost 50 crores there and big range films easily get up to 15 crores with positive talk. But, this summer season hampered the dreams of overseas buyers who invested heavily in star heroes films.
Pawan and Mahesh disappointed this summer with disasters like ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Brahmotsavam’. Buyers who bought it for huge prizes were left with huge losses. Though Allu Arjun’s ‘Sarrainodu’ was a super hit here, the collections were totally down US. Now, overseas movie lovers and buyers pinned huge hopes on Nithin and Samantha’s ‘A Aa’. The film’s director Trivikram is known for his thoughtful family entertainers. Most of his films were well appreciated by the overseas audience. The film’s leading lady Samantha is known as overseas queen as 8-9 of her films crossed the 1 million mark there.
The film’s songs and trailers have struck a chord with the audience.’A Aa’ is having a massive release in 130 screens in US which is equal to a star hero’s film. We need to wait and see whether ‘A Aa’ provides relief for people in overseas amidst huge expectations.
INSIDE STORY: Chiranjeevi not ready for his Kathilantodu
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious 150th film, Kathilantodu (Working Title), will begin its regular shoot from June 3rd in Hyderabad. However it is emerging that the actor will not be participating in the first schedule of the film. Vinayak will be shooting scenes not involving Chiranjeevi first in that schedule.
Chiranjeevi reportedly targeted to lose 10 Kilograms weight for the film but only lost 6 Kgs until now. The actor will only want to begin the shoot only after losing remaining weight. The actor is keen on looking fit and radiant in his comeback film and enthrall his fans big time in this Prestigious film.
VV Vinayak is all ready with the bound script. Ram Charan himself is producing the film on their newly launched Konidela Productions Banner. Anushka who was approached to play the female lead besides the Megastar, said NO to the makers. Anushka is interested to do the prestigious film but could not accommodate the needed dates due to the busy schedule. She is fully committed to Baahubali – The Conclusion, Bhagmathi and Singham-3. So the hunt for the heroine is on.
Earlier Comedian turned hero, Sunil also turned down an offer of a full length comedy role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious 150th film citing dates problem. Chiranjeevi film makers wanted 40 days continuous call sheets which Sunil can not afford. Disappointed Chiranjeevi brought Vennela Kishore in his place.
Japan rescuers expand forest search for missing boy
Tokyo: Japanese rescuers scoured thick forest Monday in search of a seven-year-old boy whose parents left him in mountain woods inhabited by bears as a punishment, in a case that has infuriated the public.The parents originally told police the boy got lost on Saturday while they were hiking to gather wild vegetables — but later admitted they had left him in the forest to punish him.The boy, Yamato Tanooka, went missing in mountains on Japan’s main northern island of Hokkaido, which is inhabited by wild bears.

About 180 rescuers and police officers widened the search area on Monday, mobilising sniffer dogs and horses to go deeper into the woodlands, according to broadcaster NTV.Footage showed scores of officers clawing through overgrown forest and tall bushes as a helicopter hovered overhead.Police searched in the dark Sunday night with torches in hand and calling out for the boy, who was wearing a black jacket, navy blue pants and red sneakers when he disappeared, according Kyodo news agency.”I feel very sorry for my child,” the father told an NTV reporter. “I am so sorry for causing trouble for many people.”
Police said they will look into filing neglect charges against the boy’s parents, according to Kyodo.Japanese reacted with outrage on social media, condemning the actions of the parents.”This is not punishment but abuse!” one Twitter post read.
