Gautamiputra Satakarani starts rolling
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Prestigious 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarani began its regular shoot from today in Morocco. The makers are planning to shoot one action sequence there in the supervision of Ram – Lakshman Masters and few scenes of First Century in this schedule there.
Balakrishna’s son, Mokshagna will play an Assistant director to Krish for the movie. This is to ensure that he has a good understanding of all the crafts in film making by the time of his filmy debut. Gautamiputra Satakarani is being planned for January 12th, 2017 release as Sankranthi Special.
Gautamiputra Satakarani started its business even before the shooting started. The Overseas rights of the film were picked up for a whopping 3 Crore. This is the highest price for any Balakrishna film until now. Gautamiputra Satakarani will be the costliest film in Balakrishna’s career and will cost a whopping 50 Crore.
KVP Puts Them In A Fix
Hyderabad: KVP Ramachandra Rao has introduced a private bill in the Rajya Sabha and written to both Venkayya Naidu and Chandrababu Naidu for supporting the bill.The bill seeks special status for AP and is likely to come up for voting next week. Clearly, KVP has put both BJP and TDP in a fix with this proposal. There
is no way that BJP MP’s will vote for special status after the Party has categorically denied special status to AP. But if they vote against the Bill, their attempts to create a base for themselves in AP will be seriously hampered. And what about Venkayya Naidu? Following suit, if he votes against the bill, can he ever show his face to the people of AP again?
The TDP out of political compulsion may vote for the Bill, but this will only lead to a further deterioration in their relationships with the BJP.And if Naidu walks out of his honeymoon with the BJP, given the allegations of unprecedented corruption in Amaravathi and the cash-for-vote scandal, he might be in for some unpleasant times. Naidu On Foreign Trip: What’s Up?
It’s holiday time for Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu again.He is leaving on a foreign tour along with his family members for a week on Sunday night and will be returning to Vijayawada on May 15. As usual, he has kept the media and his own party people in the dark as to where he is going and officials are not disclosing the details on the pretext of security reasons.
Generally, he goes to his favourite holiday destination Singapore or Dubai. But this being summer, Dubai is very hot and hence, the guess is that he might have gone to Singapore. Occasionally, he also prefers to go to Switzerland or Mauritius. But if the destinations are disclosed, it will lead to speculations that he would have gone on some secret mission.
And everybody knows Naidu has business interests in Singapore and one does not have to explain what Switzerland and Mauritius are known for. So, what is up, Mr Naidu?
Devi’s Death Mystery Solved
The mystery death of engineering student Devi Reddy is finally solved. Police after going into deep investigation confirmed that she died due to injuries caused by road accident. Police commissioner Mahender Reddy revealed details to media. Devi’s parents expressed their doubts on her death due to road accident, but police after scientific and technical investigation derived it to be an accident for sure.
According to their analysis, Devi and Bharat simha Reddy were traveling in a car at early hours of May 2 and it hit a tree at Huda heights near Journalist colony in Jubilee hills. Devi was highly injured and died when she was being moved to hospital. The reason for accident is declared as drunk driving.
Police also questioned Devi’s friends Sonali, Vicky, Prudhvi, Sushanth, Sai regarding the happenings on that day. They pulled the call data of Devi and Bharat Simha Reddy, and that says that they talked on phone for around 1460 times and exchanged 1600 pages of messages on Whatsapp.
That night when Devi died, Prudhvi, Sushanth, Sai and Vicky went to Nanakramguda for a party in one car and Sonali, Devi, Bharat Simha Reddy and Devi went there in another car. When everyone else returned in other cars, Devi and Bharatstarted in a car to Jubilee hills. Repeated calls from Devi’s father at that time tensed them and they turned the vehicle towards huda heights. After sometime, they quarelled when Devi decided to walk and after few minutes, the car hit a tree, injuring Devi to death.

Nitya Menon is turning a promise for every movie she acts in, thanks to her strict judgement for good script. So is Sandeep Kishan but execution often fails for this young chap. Here comes Okka Ammayi tappa trailer from Sandeep and Nitya, obviously looked enthralling.
Sandeep Kishan turns the face of an episode on Hitech city flyover that happened in a day, which actually is run by antagonist on phone. The very phone call that distances Sandeep from his dream coming true and winning love has much more to do with a ticking time bomb, threatening goons, Sniper antagonist and a beautiful girl.
Though not much plot was revealed, all it looks like is that a sniper villain wants protagonist to execute something on a flyover, as he locked the latter’s girlfriend as his target. This theme is entirely new to Telugu cinema and it all depends on how director Rajasimha Tadinada executed it out, as there could be nothing to complain on Nitya and Sandeep Kishan.
Two Hits But Not Happy
Golden leg beauty Samantha is having four releases this summer. Of them, two films were released already and became blockbusters. But insiders say that Samantha is not able to enjoy the success.Both the films released were from Tamil. While ‘Theri’ is a mass entertainer, ’24’ an experimental flick. Samantha’s role in ‘Theri’ was a homely one and had less screen space.
Moreover, it is an out-and-out Vijay’s film. On the other hand, ’24’ is getting tremendous response for its intelligent screenplay and Surya’s mind-blowing performance. But, the only flaw in the film was Samantha’s love track said the critics. Though both this films were well garnered, Samantha is not happy as she did not get proper credit.
Her other two films ‘Brahmotsavam’ and ‘A Aa’ are getting ready to hit the marquee. As the trailer suggests, Samantha has got meaty roles in both the films. Hope that Sam gets her happiness with these films.
Comedian in an adult comedy
Avasarala Srinivas had made an impression for himself as a comedian as well as film director. He is currently directing a film titled ‘Jo Atchuthanandha’. After this film, Avasarala is going to star in the Telugu remake of Hunter which is a super hit Adult comedy film in Bollywood.
The movie back when released, brought 100% profits to all those involved in its trade. Abhishek Pictures bagged the remake rights of Hunter and will be remaking the film in Telugu. Avasarala will be seen in an important role in the film which is going to be directed by Naveen Medaram.
This will be his directional debut. Naveen Medaram previously worked as VFX artiste to Hollywood films like Iron Man 2, Davinci Code, Batman : The Dark Knight and other films. Currently the pre-production works of the film are going on at brisk pace. More details of this project later.
24 touches One Million Dollars mark
Suriya’s latest offering, 24 had touched the coveted one Million Dollars mark at USA Box office on Sunday. When the reports last came in the movie collected $180K (centers yet to report) on Sunday, with which the movie crossed $1 Million. This is however the collections of Telugu and Tamil version together.
Box Office Experts say that the collections of the Telugu version is likely to be more than that of the Tamil version. This is the first One Million dollars film for Suriya. Estimating that the Telugu version collected around $600K, Box office experts expect that the Telugu version alone is likely to touch $1 Million. Here is the break up ( Day wise )
