Yet Another Shock to YS Jagan
In an yet another shock to beleaguered YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Kurnool MLA SV Mohan Reddy has decided to quit YSRCP and likely to join TDP. SV Mohan Reddy is a strong leader in Kurnool district and enjoys good followers base in the district.
The move comes after YS Jagan Reddy snubbed SV Reddy and didn’t inform him on the Deeksha he’s going to do in Kurnool. After holding a meeting with his followers, SV Mohan Reddy has come to the conclusion to join TDP.
Of late, several YSRCP leaders have ditched Jagan and joined TDP. So far, 11 YSRCP MLAs have jumped into TDP. With SV Mohan Reddy joining the bandwagon, the number is increased to 12.
Rajamouli Second Help For Nani
Director Rajamouli boosted Nani’s career with the graphical extravaganza film Eega that created wonders all over India. Although Nani’s role was brief, he was lauded for natural style of acting. Rajamouli is now helping Nani for the second time.As per latest reports, Rajamouli is said to be playing a cameo in Nani’s next film under direction of Uyyala Jampala fame director Virinchi Varma. The ace director will portray himself in the movie billed to be a romantic drama.
Another interesting factor is Nani will be playing assistant director in the flick.As all we know, Nani began his film career as an assistant director. It is learnt that, Nani has suggested his makers to tweak the lead role into that of a peculiar assistant director. In fact, Virinchi liked the idea and has written side-splitting sequences based on hero characterization.
Apparently, Nani will be seen working at Rajamouli for one or two sequences. Surely, Rajamouli’s cameo will enhance expectations!
Pawan Kalyan Flying Off for Family Vacation
Unfazed by the debacle of Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Pawan Kalyan has moved onto his next with SJ Suryah. While the yet-to-be-titled film is going onto floors sometime in June, Pawan has got sometime for himself and his family. Pawan decided to spend quality time with his close-knit family for few days.
We learnt that Pawan is planning to fly off for a family vacation soon during this free time. It’s going to be a strict family affair. The place of vacation, itinerary and the schedule is kept under the wraps as usual.
Once Pawan returns from his trip, he’d be focusing on his next film with Kushi director. This time, Pawan and Suryah are not taking any chances and want to make it a thorough entertaining script to appeal to all sections.
Will Naidu Give RS Seat To Telangana Leaders?
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has completely neglected the party in Telangana region, received a request from the party leaders for nominating one of them to Rajya Sabha.Telangana TDP president L Ramana met Naidu on Tuesday and asked him to allocate one of the three Rajya Sabha seats from Andhra Pradesh to a Telangana TDP leader.“There is no possibility of the party to have its representation in Rajya Sabha from Telangana region.
So, if a Telangana TDP leader gets an RS nomination from AP, it will give boost to the party in Telangana and we can bounce back in the coming days,” Ramana told Naidu.However, Naidu parried the request saying he would look into it. Sources said Naidu may not entertain the request as there are too many aspirants for the RS seat in Andhra Pradesh and if a Telangana leader is given the RS nomination, it will cause unrest among the Andhra leaders.
Secondly, there is no way the TDP can get back its glory in Telangana even if they struggle a lot. So, there is no point in pampering the Telangana TDP leaders at present, say sources.
Hyderabad Metro Project Delayed
Hyderabad: The completion of Hyderabad Metro Rail will be delayed by nearly one-and-a-half years, with the developer now saying that the project is likely to be fully operational by December 2018.Construction major Larsen Toubro (L&T), which is building the 71.16-km elevated metro on three corridors, on Wednesday said it was in talks with the Telangana government on the issue. As per the concession agreement signed with the then government of united Andhra Pradesh in 2010, the project should have been completed by July 2017.
L&T officials attributed the delay to various reasons but said they were trying their best for early completion of the project. S.N. Subrahmanyam, Deputy Managing Director and President, L&T, and Chairman, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd, said they were holding negotiations with the state government.He was addressing a press conference to announce the appointment of Shivanand Nimbargi as the new chief executive and managing director of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd (LTMRHL).
V.B. Gadgil, who has been associated with the project since inception, will superannuate from the services of the company by month-end.Gagdil ruled out completion of the first stage (Nagole-Mettuguda) of the project by June 2 as reported in a section of media but said it was technically ready for operations. The work on the second stage (Miyapur-SR Nagar) was also in an advanced stage. He was confident that in June a total of 19-20 km out of 71 km will be technically ready for operations.
The first stage was earlier scheduled to be commissioned in January 2015 but it missed the deadline. While admitting that there has been cost escalation, he did not share the figures, saying they are “dynamic”.He had earlier stated the project cost may have been escalated by Rs.2,500-3,000 crore.Gadgil said despite hurdles, a lot was achieved. “This is the fastest ever project undertaken in country. What we achieved in three-and-a-half years has no parallel.”
Though the concession agreement for Rs.14,132-crore project, said to be the largest metro project in the world in public-private partnership, was signed in September 2010, the work could commence in July 2012.LTMRHL in 2011 had achieved financial closure for Rs.16,375 crore — Rs.14,132 crore for the metro rail system and Rs.2,243 crore for the first phase of real estate development.Both the components of the project are being financed through an equity of 30 percent and 70 percent by debt.
The company raised the debt of nearly Rs.11,500 crore from a consortium of 10 banks.LTMRHL Chief Financial Officer J. Ravikumar said 62 percent of the work had been completed. The company so far spent Rs.8,900 crore, including Rs.2,700 crore equity.The company has so far drawn Rs.600 crore out of Rs.1,458 crore available under Viability Gap Funding (VGF) from the central government.

Dasari Upset With TV Channels!
Senior director and former union minister Dasari Narayan Rao has expressed his anguish over the television channels not coming forward to buy satellite rights of his movies.Dasari, who announced that he is going to direct a love story-based movie shortly, expressed his desire to wield megaphone even at this age.Reacting on the failure of his recent movies, he said these films might not be commercial hits, but had received appreciation from critics.
“Let them be telecast by television channels; audiences will understand their quality and worth,” he said.Dasari had directed two films – Parama Veera Chakra and Erra Bus, in the recent past and both of them bombed at the box office.Especially, Parama Veera Chakra starring Balakrishna as hero, could not attract even his hard core fans and ended up as a disaster as it could not recover even the publicity expenses.
As a result, not a single television channel has come forward to buy its satellite rights. So is the case with Erra Bus, which was remake of a Tamil movie.That is precisely why Dasari is anguished. He wants that at least one channel has to buy their satellite rights so that audiences would acknowledge his direction skills. But, it’s long time since the films were released and flopped. Who will show interest on them now?
Ram to save the chubby beauty from bad name
Shivam is one of the most forgettable film in Ram’s career. The movie is the actor’s biggest disaster. Raashi Khanna is the female lead in the movie and usually heroines in such projects are branded as ‘Iron Legs’.
But Ram has no such sentiments and wants to wash the beauty of that bad name. The actor will be romancing once again with her in his next film to be directed by Santosh Srinivas. The director with his first movie, Kandireega delivered a blockbuster to Ram.
This new project was launched last month and the film will start rolling in the third week of this month. The makers are planning to release it for Dussehra. Venkat Boyanapalli presents this movie produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara on their 14 Reels Entertainment banner.
Ghibran has been roped in to compose music for the film which has Art by Avinash and Story-Screenplay by the director himself. More details of the project later.
Krish donates National Award Money for a noble cause
The other day, President of India handed over a Silver Medal, Certificate of Merit and a Cash Prize of One Lakh for director Krish as his film, Kanche was adjudged as the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the National Awards. Krish is back in Hyderabad receiving the award and announced donating the money for a good cause.
“I’m donating d Natl Awrd prize money to Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hosp which treated my mother & many with utmost care n excellence (sic),” Krish posted in Twitter. Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital is one of the best hospitals in the country, treating Cancer.
The hospital in Banjara Hills, was established by Late NT Rama Rao in the memory of his wife, Basavatarakam who passed away with Cancer. Currently his son, Nandamuri Balakrishna is the Chairman of the hospital and running it efficiently. This act of Krish is a testimony for Balakrishna’s management as well as Krish’s kindness.
Dasari’s Love Story at retirement age
Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao is celebrating his Birthday today. The ace film maker gave an interview to all media houses on this occasion. Dasari revealed that he is working on the script of his dream project, Mahabharatha. He revealed that it will be made in five parts and script for the first two parts is ready.
Once completing Mahabharatha Series, Dasari said he will be making a love story that will star all debutantes which will be his last film as a director. The ace director did not come up with any reason for this decision. We may have to wait a bit longer to know the exact reason for this love on love story.
Interestingly, Tollywood’s Most Successful director Rajamouli also announced that his dream project will be making Mahabharatha and he will make it some day. Probably Dasari will be making it ahead of Rajamouli. We will have to see if there will be clash between that generation legend and this generation legend.
Rajamouli reveals his inspiration
It was a very proud evening the other day for Telugu Cinema. Rajamouli took the stage at Rashtrapati Bhavan and received the National Award for his Baahubali – The Beginning. The movie also got another award for best visual effect while Krish’s Kanche got best Regional film in Telugu at the National Awards. After the event, Rajamouli spoke to the press.
He went on to say that all his stories are inspired from the stories narrated by his grand father and all of them are related to Indian history and country’s greatness. He also added that he never thought he will be a film director but those stories always travel along with him.
When asked if he is trying to go to Hollywood, the ace director revealed that it is never in his thoughts. He added that he wants to do films of Akbar, Maharana Pratap and other great kings who ruled the country. The director who is now famous across the country, is currently busy in the shooting of Baahubali – The Conclusion.
