Tamil Star Hero Suriya’s latest offering, 24 has completed its censor formalities the other day. The Regional Censor Board after the Censor Screening had awarded Clean U certificate for the film. With this all the decks are cleared for the grand release of the movie on May 6th as Summer Special.
The Telugu and Tamil versions of the film will also see light simultaneously on the same day. The makers will kick-start the promotions now to get the hype increased for the film. Vikram K Kumar who delivered a classic film like Manam has directed the film and so there are good expectations over the film in audience and trade.
Samantha and Nithya Menon are the female leads. AR Rahman is the music composer. The science fiction thriller is being produced by 2D Entertainment and K. E. Gnanavelraja jointly. UV Creations is releasing the film in Andhra and Global films will present the film in Nizam. There is a superb demand for the exhibition rights of the film from all areas.

Mujhe bhi lagta hai main thoda sa mean lagta hun (I also feel that I look little mean)… industry mein kaafi saare co-actors, actors, actresses mujhe bolte hain ki main bohot mean lagta hun iske andar (there are many co-actors in the industry who say that I look mean in kohl).”

TRS Plenary Ignored Drought, Suicides!
Leader of Opposition in Telangana State Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir said that the 15th Plenary of Telangana Rashtra Samithi held in Khammam was completely disappointing for the common people.Addressing a press conference, along with Deputy CLP leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, at Congress Legislature Party office here on Thursday, Shabbir Ali said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had spent crores of rupees on Plenary just to give an assurance to his workers that they would be given nominated posts.
“The Chief Minister did not show any concern towards 4 crore people of Telangana who are suffering from severe drought and heat wave. He did not speak a single word on nearly 400 farmers committed suicide in recent past. He apparently looked concerned over accommodating his 4,000 workers on different posts. This is highly condemnable,” he said.Shabbir Ali said that the TRS Plenary confined itself to a single line resolution on drought.
“The Supreme Court and High Court have pulled up both the State and Central Governments for their lethargic approach towards drought management. Instead of preparing a Contingency Plan to handle drought situation for the next two months, KCR is busy in the politics of encouraging defections in opposition parties. Ideally, he should have cancelled the Plenary and concentrated on managing drought crisis,” he said.
“It is highly shocking that the ruling party leaders enjoyed about 2 lakh Chicken Biryani at Plenary while farmers and poor are unable to get a simple meal due to drought. State Government declare ‘Drought Emergency’ and depute a senior IAS officer as incharge for each of the 10 districts to implement the Contingency Plan. Relief measures should also be taken on war footing basis. NREGS should be implemented properly, especially in affected areas,” Shabbir Ali said.
Jagan Should be Careful With Yechury?
It is known news that the YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has taken his so called ‘Save Democracy’ battle to New Delhi. This is allegedly for exposing the corrupt deeds of TDP government headed by his rival Chandrababu Naidu. He has gleefully distributed copies of his booklet called “Emperor of Corruption” to top political leaders where he explained how Naidu is making use of corrupt practices like illegal land dealings in Amaravati and using such money to lure YSRC MLAs into TDP.
There was a similar book titled “Raja of Corruption” that was brought out by Babu when he was in the Opposition to attack YSR government highlighting Jagan’s deeds. It was CPI (M) politburo member Sitaram Yechury who showed serious support for Jagan’s save democracy campaign.
Well Jagan seems to be highly euphoric with this support from Yechuri, but his own people say he needs to be careful while choosing his friends at national level. Especially Jagan should not simply get carried away because the moment Babu cuts ties with the BJP, Left will openly embrace him!
