While all big movies and top stars aim to create new records with huge collections, ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ is creating a new records of sorts. The movie has completely lost the audiences in its second week and has posted abysmally low figures in USA. In its second weekend in US, “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” has grossed mere 20,807 dollars from 55 screens. For a big movie like this, the collections are almost like nil.

No big star Telugu movie has grossed such low from 55 screens. So Pawan Kalyan’s movie has set a new record of lowest collections for a Telugu biggie.The movie now stands with the total collections of $10, 58,000 (7.04 Cr). The distributor who bought it will lose nearly Rs 4.5 Cr. On the other hand, Nagarjuna and Karthi starrer “Oopiri” is still strong.

In its fourth weekend, the movie has grossed 14,593 dollars from 23 screens. Its total figure now stands at $15,58,600 (10.38 Cr)Manchu Vishnu and Raj Tharun’s “Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam” in its opening weekend has failed to rake in any good money. It stands at $13,634 (9.08 lacs).

Nandamuri Balakrishna recently announced that his 100th film will based on the story of Gautamiputra Sathakarani under the direction of critically acclaimed director, Krish. The regular shooting of the movie will begin in the first week of May and the majority of the shoot will happen in Morocco.

Before the starting of the shoot, Nandamuri Balakrishna became a history student and is reading so much about Satavahana rulers. Krish and his team have already sourced several ancient texts written by Ptolemi, Megasthenes and others, for references and guidelines to the Satavahana Kingdom, and to Gautamiputra Satakarni.

First Frame Entertainments Pvt Ltd, the production house of the film registered the title ‘Gautamiputra Sathakarani’ with Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. Currently, the film is in its pre-production phase and Krrish is giving the final touches to the script and finalizing the locations.

Raashi Khanna is playing the female lead in Sai Dharam Tej’s next, Supreme. Sources say the actress is at her sensuous best in the film and will be a treat for youth and mass audience. The actress seem to be very confident of her prospect in Telugu film industry and recently shifted her base to Hyderabad.

She is also in the hunt to purchase an apartment here. Recently Rakul Preet Singh also purchased a flat in Hyderabad and Raashi Khanna seem to be following here in this issue. Samantha, Tamannaah and Kajal Aggarwal also have permanent addresses in Hyderabad.

Raashi definitely wants to join the club by becoming popular like them. Supreme is being planned for May release. Raashi Khanna plays a cop in the film. The movie comes with a caption, ‘Don’t Sound Horn’ and will see Sai Dharam Tej playing the role of a cab driver.

Pataas fame Anil Ravipudi is directing this film. Dil Raju is producing the film on his Sri Venkateswara Creations Banner. Sai Karthik is composing music for the film.

‘Sarrainodu’ had completed its censor formalities long back and it was given A certificate for its excessive violence. This has made producer Allu Aravind and hero Allu Arjun worry and they have decided to re-edit the film before taking the final censor certification. In the last week, director Boyapati and hero Allu Arjun had cut down the action sequences to tone down the violence.

Now the action part in the movie is normal and the re-editing has made the movie more gripping, said a source. The final censor was done recently and the movie has now been given U/A certificate.Director Boyapati is a director known for making mass-oriented movies, while Allu Arjun is known as stylish hero.Although Allu Arjun wants the appreciation from mass audiences, he doesn’t want to lose his core audiences either.

Hence the violence was toned down up to fifty percent. “Sarrainodu” has Allu Arjun playing a military officer, while Catherine Tresa acts as an MLA. Rakul Preet Singh is the main heroine. Produced by Allu Aravind, “Sarrainodu” is releasing in big way on 22nd April.
