Superstar Rajinikanth had started the dubbing of his next, Kabali from today in Chennai. Other artistes are also dubbing for the film. Few days ago, Rajinkanth revealed that the movie will be releasing in the last week of May or in the first week of June.

The makers are planning the release of some posters and the first look teaser very soon. The movie is also titled ‘Kabali’ in Telugu and is most likely to have simultaneous release in both the languages. Both the versions will have same title.

The audio launch event will take place in the first half of May. Radhika Apte is the female lead in the film. Rajinikanth will be seen in the role of an aging gangster in the movie. Ranjith Pa is wielding megaphone for the movie.

Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing the film on V Creations banner. Santosh Narayan is composing music for the film. Rajinikanth do not have proper success after his 2010 film, Robot and so he is keen to bagging success with this film releasing for Summer.

Several Tollywood Stars have attended the Nadigar Sangham Cricket Tournament that happened in Chennai on Sunday. Nadigar Sangham is the Movie Artistes Association of Tamil Cinema and they played a Cricket Tournament the other day to pool in funds for the permanent office building for the association.

Among all the stars who attended the matches played in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Nandamuri Balakrishna hogged the headlines but for wrong reasons. Due to the extreme heat at the stadium, Balakrishna is seen removing his shirt and is in a banian in the VIP enclosure of the stadium along with the other stars.

Even more controversial is, the actor is seen smoking with out any concern for stars sitting around him. Veteran actor Vijaykumar and Shivarajkumar are on the either side of the actor, watching the match. A couple of seats away were actresses – Tammannaah, Varalakshmi and Janani Iyer feeling troubled by the smoke.

Luck favoured Kajal Agarwal, when she acted as Princess beside young hero Ram Charan Teja. Later, she faced a few flops in Telugu film industry.But when she got the offer to play the role of Princess again, this time with Cherry’s uncle Pavan Kalyan, everybody thought she would stage a comeback with a lot of luck.But alas, it has not happened for Kajal and it looks like her career in Tollywood has come to the cliff hanger. Latest reports is that Kajal is now testing her luck by acting beside Daggubati Rana in the next film to be directed by Teja.

It clearly shows she is desperate to make hay while the sun shines.Rana is no doubt a talented actor who is riding on the success of Baahubali; but he has not proven a successful hero in a full-length movie.So, heroines prefer to make off-screen friendship with Rana, but do not like to act with him in films in which he is a hero. Yet, Kajal has agreed to do a movie with him, may be only to make some big money.At present, Kajal is banking heavily on Mahesh Babu-starrer film. But, she might not hog the limelight because she is just one of the three heroines in that film.

So, Kajal might have thought she could make some quick buck by acting with Rana.Interestingly, a few years ago, another glamorous actress Genelia also acted with Rana, but disappeared from the industry soon after by getting married to Ritesh Deshmukh.It may be coincidence, but Kajal also revealed that her parents are on the lookout for a groom for her. Who knows, she might also bid adieu to films soon after the marriage!

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has tasted a bitter result with Sardaar Gabbar Singh. He expected this film to be a treat for his fans, however it didn’t live up to his expectations. He dedicated the movie to his fans but they were disappointed with the output. Now Pawan Kalyan wants to do a quickie to make his disappointed fans happy. His next film with SJ surya was actually planned for next summer.

There is a change in the plan now. The film will now be completed very quickly so that it will be ready for Sankranthi release. This is a romantic entertainer with faction backdrop. As per the buzz this film will be sold to the same distributors that have distributed Saradar Gabbar Singh.

It will be sold for reasonable rates to compensate the losses of SGS. Buzz also has it that Husharu is the title under consideration for this film.

Chennai: Director T.N. Santhosh, who will be teaming up with Ravi Teja for the Telugu remake of his latest Tamil hit “Kanithan”, says the actor’s image among the masses will be apt for the project, which is slated to go on the floors in a couple of months.”In another couple of weeks, the project will be officially locked. Keeping the soul of the original intact, I have to make drastic changes to the script to suit the image of Ravi Teja, and I think it will be perfect for this project,” Santhosh told IANS.

The director, who had already met Ravi Teja, has taken his valuable inputs into consideration.”It was after the meeting with him, we decided that a lot of things have to be changed in the script. We hope to go on the floors in the next couple of months and if everything goes as planned, we might come to theatres towards the end of this year or early next year,” he said.Santhosh also denied rumours about the project likely to be dropped.

“We’re on the verge of getting started. We’re just figuring out the dates with Ravi Teja, who also has another project in the pipeline,” he added.While rest of the cast and crew is yet to be finalised, the remake will be bankrolled by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, who had also produced the original.

On behalf of constructing a building for the Kollywood actor’s association, and to raise funds for the same a star cricket show was organized on April 17th at Chennai. At the event the final match was won by the Chennai Singam’s team and the team Captain is Actor Suriya.Currently the actor’s sangam was formed by the newly elected President Actor Nassar, Secretary Vishaal and treasurer Karthi. The actors were divided into eight teams.

The teams were titled as Chennai Singams, Madurai Kaalai, Ramnad Rhinos, Kovai Kings, Nellai Dragons, Salem Cheetos , Thanjavore Warriors and Tiruchy Tigers.The special event was organized at Chennai Chepauk Cricket stadium. The star cricket match was started with many Tamil culture dance shows, Karakattam and so on. For helping the Aids affected kids a cheque of Rs.10 Lakhs was contributed jointly by Rajini, Kamal, Venkatesh and Balakrishna.

The tournament had five over’s each and the first match toss was put by Rajini and he declared open the star cricket show. The final match was played against Chennai Singams and Thanjavur Warriors, and the trophy was won by the Chennai Singams teammates. But many Tamil industry’s lead actors and leading actresses did not participate in the show has many disappointment among many.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is back in news yet again. The actor cum politician was spotted puffing on a cigarette at the inaugural match of Nadigar Sangam’s Natchathirai cricket series at Chidhambaram Stadium in Chennai yesterday.Balayya was one of the large group of Telugu stars who attended the inaugural match and he was seen cheering and enjoying the match.

At one particular moment, Balayya, who couldn’t bear the scorching Chennai heat anymore, even took off his shirt and lit up a cigarette while other stars were around.

Meanwhile, there has been a hue and cry about Balayya’s smoking act ever since a leading English news daily published Balayya’s smoking picture in its Chennai edition this morning. Many are criticising this public act by Balayya, which is prohibited according to the law.
