Nandamuri Balakrishna is the true scion for legendary Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. Not many are aware that Balayya picking up historical subject Gautamiputra Satakarni has connection with his veteran father.Apparently, Sr NTR had wanted to make a film on Gautamiputra Satakarni knowing of the heroic acts of the Telugu warrior. In fact, he got even script readied with 101 scenes. However, for various reasons the film didn’t materialise.

Now, Balayya is enacting Satakarni role in the film to be directed by Krish. And the film happens to be Balayya’s landmark 100th film which is yet another big coincidence. That’s why Balayya even openly stated that his father only sent Krish to him during the launch of the film in Amaravati on Ugadi eve.

Made with a whopping budget of Rs 70 Crore, Krish’s close friend and Kanche producer Rajeev is producing the film. The duo is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a big success. Let’s wait and see.

The Jungle Book is on a roll, giving tough fight to Indian biggies. In Hindi, the film is showing stars to Shah Rukh Khan starrer Fan. In Telugu, the film has washed out the chances of Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh. The Neel Sethi starrer film is doing exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu too, competing with Vijay’s Theri.Latest achievement for this graphical extravaganza is, The Jungle Book has entered 100 crore club by Sunday. The film minted Rs 101.82 crore nett in India alone.

Second weekend figures of the film are just amazing. It raked 8.02 cr, 8.51 cr and 10.67 crores respectively on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.The Jungle Book has grossed $103.6 million in North America and $187.4 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $291 million. Reports say that, the film will have sequel and the production unit is currently working on script.

The Jungle Book directed by Jon Favreauis is adapted from the famous Rudyard Kipling novel of the same name. The film has voice cast including Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito and Christopher Walken. Priyanka Chopra has lent her voice for the Hindi version of the film.

In an interview to a leading publication, Anil Ravipudi, the director of the film said that Supreme is the name of the Cab Taxi used by Sai Dharam Tej in the film and it will play a crucial role in the movie. He also added that Sai Dharam Tej will be seen as a cab driver, Balu in the movie.

Probably Sai Dharam Tej became a Supreme Hero just because he rides a cab called Supreme. The movie is being readied for May release. Abhishek Pictures, the leading distribution company bagged the Negative rights of the film. Raashi Khanna is romancing Sai Dharam Tej in the film which has Sai Kartheek composing music.

Veteran actor, filmmaker and politician Dasari Narayana Rao who never shies away from making startling comments is back in news with his outspoken comments. Speaking at the trailer launch event of Srikanth’s controversial film Mental Police, Dasari made a few comments that seem as if he is taking a dig at Pawan’s Sardaar.Dasari said that filmmakers these days are completely ignoring the importance of story but are splurging crores of rupees on making movies and even to promote them.

“Crores of rupees are being spent on foreign songs, lavish sets and visual effects,” said Dasari.Well, the only expensive film which was criticized for the lack of a strong story and also features lavish sets, foreign songs and was aggressively promoted recently was none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s multicrore disaster Sardaar Gabbar Singh and no other big budget film has failed in the recent times.

Did Dasari take a dig at Pawan’s Sardaar or did he just make a random comment? Pawan is committed to doing a film under Dasari’s production and he even confirmed it during his recent media interviews. We all know that Megastar Chiranjeevi will be making a comeback to Telugu Film industry with his Prestigious 150th film. Until now we all know that the film is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Kathi and will be directed by VV Vinayak.

Recently Chiranjeevi announced that they are considering ‘Kathilantodu’ as the film title. But it is emerging that the film may not be the remake of Kathi. We are said that Vinayak is working on two other scripts for Chiranjeevi and the Megastar liked one of that scripts. Vinayak is currently in the process of finishing the bound script.

The film will start rolling in May First Week. VV Vinayak is given the chance even though he delivered a disaster with Akhil. He previously directed Chiranjeevi in a blockbuster Tagore which is also a remake project. Nayantara is the heroine in the project which will be readied for Sankranthi-2017 release.
