Oopiri First Weekend Collections

King Nagarjuna and Tamil Hero Karthi’s Oopiri has taken a superb start at the box office in the first weekend of its release. Helped by positive talk and reviews, the movie got stronger and stronger at the box office over the weekend. Even the crucial T20 World Cup match between India and Australia did not have any major impact on the film.

Back in Overseas, the movie is having a sensational run at the box office. The movie is already close to One Million dollars gross by the end of the first weekend and is likely to aim a big target of 1.5 Million dollars gross there.

Yuvraj Singh out of World T20

Just before the crucial Semi-finals stage, Indian Cricket team has suffered a major blow as Yuvraj Singh will be ruled out from the rest of the games as he twisted his ankle during the match against Australia.

During his short stay of 18 balls, Yuvi suffered from pain and he was not able to run properly between the wickets. India will take on West Indies on March 31st at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Yuvi is now replaced by Manish Pandey and we are not given clear idea on his injury. Yuvi played a crucial role by bowling 3 overs and also picking the important wicket of Steve Smith. He also scored 21 runs of 18 balls. Manish Pandey who has been the replacement is also a good choice and he has a sound IPL experience.

He is also an exceptional fielder. He is also doing consistently in the domestic circuit. However chances are high for Rahane to fill in the void of Yuvraj Singh for the upcoming clash with West Indies. The first Semi-finals between England and New Zealand will be played tomorrow.

Kohli Must Pay Me For His Mistake: Dhoni

In a nerve-wracking do or die encounter with Australia last night, Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli played a historic innings where he asked 82 runs off 51 balls and won the match for India. Towards the climax of India’s chase, Virat was well supported by captain MS Dhoni.

In a media interaction that followed India’s victory, Dhoni joked that Virat most pay him money for his mistake of making him run frantically by taking two runs whenever he wanted to take a single. Dhoni was spotted panting after taking each run and during the overs break.

Heaping praises on Kohli’s knock, Dhoni further said that Kohli demonstrated how to steal runs if one had a runner in front of him. The Dhoni-Kohli duo hit 67 runs off 31 balls and steered India to a historic victory.
