Ever since the Kapu reservation movement took its steep rise following the Tuni riots and the Kapu crusader Mudragada’s fast unto death, there has been a rise of support to the movement as well from all quarters, political and from the social spectrum.

But, the latest meeting of Mudragada and Tollywood star Manchu Vishnu has caught everyone’s attention. Today, Vishnu met and spoke with Mudragada for nearly 10 minutes during a wedding in Kakinada. However, there is no political importance to this casual meeting.

Getting into the details, Vishnu today attended the marriage of his father’s diehard fan’s son in Kakinada. Incidentally, the marriage took place in a marriage hall that is owned by Mudragada. Vishnu apparently enquired about Mudragada’s health during his interaction.

Speaking to the media personnel, Vishnu revealed that Mudragada is a very close friend of his father Mohan Babu. Vishnu also clarified that his meeting with Mudragada has no political motive.

Believe it or not, a whopping Rs 3 Crore is being spent by Mythri Movie Makers on a special set for their second venture Janatha Garage. Touted to be one of the most expensive sets, noted art director AS Prakash has designed the set. A big garage set, tailor-made for Janatha Garage, is erected in the city where crucial portions of the film are shot. It’s learnt that the set completely looks original. What’s more? Producers are going to buy 15 to 20 old cars to put them in the garage.

Producers Naveen, Ravi and CV Mohan are leaving no stone unturned to make Janatha Garage a remarkable film after making a blockbuster debut with Srimanthudu. Riding high with Mirchi, Srimanthudu, Koratala is directing the film which has Samantha, Nithya Menen in female leads.

Back with a bang with the success of Nannaku Prematho, NTR is prepping up to join the film’s shoot soon. The film will be officially launched on Feb 22 in Saradhi Studios. After the first schedule in Hyderabad, the unit will leave for Mumbai where major portions will be shot. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to score music.

Get ready for the 30-seconds treat from Stylish Star Allu Arjun. A special teaser of Arjun’s Sarainodu will be out on Thursday and the teaser would be screened in 1000 screens across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru.

Already Bunny’s look in the film is out and it created quite a stir as fit Bunny stole the hearts. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film features Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa as female leads.

Bunny’s doting dad Allu Aravind is producing the film which has music by SS Thaman. Though initially, the film is planned for release on April 8, which happens to be Allu Arjun’s birthday, it’s been later pushed as Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh is hitting the screens on the same day.

Ever since the news of marriage of Chiranjeevi’s second daughter Sreeja broke out, there’s a lot of hullabaloo on who’s the groom-to-be. As Sreeja is all set to tie the knot with Kalyan on Feb 25th, his supposed picture has come out.

It can be recalled that Srija had eloped and married Sirish Bharadwaj in 2007 and she’s blessed with a baby girl through the marriage. The couple got divorce in 2014 legally.

This Friday, the entire country will revisit the selfless bravery of a 23-year-old flight attendant named Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life in a pursuit to save 361 passengers and 19 crew members of the Pan Am Flight 73 which was hijacked by the Abu Nidal terrorists in Karachi, Pakistan in1986.

Neerja Bhanot’s story has been made into a film titled Neerja, with Bollywood’s fashionista and actress Sonam Kapoor playing the titular role. The other day, the film’s premiere was held for several B’town celebrities and they were all dumbstruck with the film’s emotional catharsis.

Especially, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan were so moved by the film that they walked out of the theaters with a lump in their throat and tears running down from their eyes.

While Aamir said he was moved by Shabana Azmi’s role of Neerja’s mother, Hrithik said, “I can’t remember the last time I cried this much in a film. It is really emotional, it hits you.”

Though Tollywood has received flak of coming up with escapist cinema and routine formula entertainers, there were also films which were ahead of their times and became cult classics eventually. One such film was ‘Jambalakidi Pamba’ which came in the year 1993 under the direction of late EVV Satyanarayana. The story revolves around how women become like men and vice versa.

Now, one Bollywood film is preparing to arrive and those who saw the recently launched trailer say this reminds them of ‘Jambalakidi Pamba’ only.

We are talking about the Bollywood flick ‘Ki And Ka’ featuring the hot begum Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. The story revolves around a house husband who takes care of the home while his wife is a career oriented woman that runs the house and family.

This is quite similar to the plot of ‘Jambalakidi Pamba’ so maybe the Telugu audience may not find anything new or interesting when the Bollywood flick releases here.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan took a daring decision when his films are not clicking at box office. Remakes have less chance to perform; however, Ram Charan chose to remake Tamil flick Thani Oruvan in Telugu. Some say, he was right, since the film has a strong content.

In fact, Jayam Ravi who played protagonist in Tamil version feels happy for Ram Charan doing the Telugu remake. “After I came to know that Ram Charan is doing Thani Oruvan in Telugu, I felt happy because this film will not be spoiled. I am confident now and he is a wonderful actor,” said Jayam Ravi in an interview to a Telugu channel.

Thani Oruvan is a stylish and racy action entertainer, where protagonist will be seen as a cop. This will be second film for Charan playing a police officer. Previously, he was seen in such role in Toofan (Zanjeer).

Speculations are rife that, Dhruva is the title being considered for the movie to be launched on 18th of this month. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film will have Rakul Preet Singh playing Charan’s love interest. Allu Aravind will produce the movie on Geetha Arts Banner. Hope, Dhruva will provide much needed break for Ram Charan!
