When Nagarjuna’s Majnu released in January 1987, Naga Chaitanya was just a 2 month toddler. Majnu became a super hit and cemented Nag’s image as a king of romance. 29 years after his dad’s Majnu, Chay is coming this summer with his Majnu, an official remake of the Malayali blockbuster Premam.

Majnu’s highly anticipated first look will be released tomorrow. The film has so far completed more than half of its shooting. Apart from Shruti Haasan, who is reprising Sai Pallavi’s role as a college lecturer, the two Premam girls Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian will be seen reprising their roles from the original.

Majnu is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under his Sithara Entertainments banner. The film has its music composed by Rajesh Murugesan and Gopi Sundar.

Hailing from a family of musicians where his father Ghantasala Siva Kumar played drums for nearly 700 films, mother Savitri, aunt Vasantha and wife Sri Vardhini are successful playback singers, hotshot music director SS Thaman is now ruling both Tollywood and Kollywood.

And now, it’s Thaman’s sister Yamini’s turn to go behind the microphone. This young software professional who is based in Mumbai has recently made her playback singing debut when she crooned for Anjali’s soon to be released horror flick, Chitrangada, which is also releasing in Tamil as Yaar Nee.

Apparently, the film’s father-son music composer duo Swaminathan and Selvaganesh came across some scratch tracks sung by Yamini and immediately signed her to sing a romantic duet in Yaar Nee. The recording was completed recently in Chennai and the audio album will be released in either February end or in early March.

Bollywood star actress Priyanka Chopra, who has become international popular after playing the lead role in American show Quantico is all set to make her Hollywood debut, that too as a lady villain. Yes, the super talented starlet will play a negative role in Hollywood flick Baywatch that features Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach and Alexandra Daddario in lead roles.

Priyanka, made an official announcement on social media, “And it’s time to tell you all officially! Baywatch it is @TheRock! Being bad is what I do best!!! You better watch out!”

Baywatch is based on the hugely popular 1990s TV series. It is about the Los Angeles county lifeguards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles, California.

Priyanka will be seen essaying the role of Victoria Leeds. She will start shooting for the movie along with its cast and crew from next week.

“She’s one of the biggest stars in the world… the beautiful Priyanka Chopra, welcome to Baywatch,” said Johnson in a video posted on Instagram.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali shooting is now complete with the conclusion of the last schedule of the film in Malaysia. They will now only have some patch work in Chennai. The film will now enter extensive post production phase.

The movie was earlier planned for April release a Tamil New Year/Ugadi treat for Superstar’s fans. But now the movie may be pushed to May. This is reportedly a decision of Rajinikanth himself. Rajinikanth was apprehensive that Kabali’s release in April may not work due to the Tamil Nadu assembly elections, which will take place by the last week of April or early May.

The movie is also titled ‘Kabali’ in Telugu and is most likely to have simultaneous release in both the languages. Radhika Apte is the female lead in the film. Rajinikanth will be seen in the role of an aging gangster in the movie. Ranjith Pa is wielding megaphone for the movie. Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing the film on V Creations banner.

Nandamuri Balakrishna watched a special show of Nani’s Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha. The makers have arranged a special screening of the film at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad the other night. And the Nandamuri Lion reportedly enjoyed the film very much.

Nani was seen as an ardent Balakrishna fan in the movie. He will be also seen sporting a tattoo ‘Jai Balayya’ on his hand. Nani previously danced for Balakrishna’s ‘Danchave Menattha Koothura’ song from Balakrishna’s Mangamma Gari Manavadu in his Ride movie. Both Nani and Balayya are close to each other since then.

Balayya fans are enjoying the movie a lot. On the other side, Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha is doing well in both the Telugu States but is still a long way to go for the break-even. The movie is doing very well in Overseas. On Monday, the movie entered Half million club at US box office.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan will start shooting for the introduction song of his Sardaar Gabbar Singh in this week itself. Devi Sri Prasad reportedly gave a superb tune for the song. With this three songs of the movie will be completed.

The audio release event of the film will take place on 12th or 20th of March. The team will fly abroad for the shooting of two songs after the audio release event is done. The makers have already announced their plans of releasing on April 8th as Summer special.

The hype and expectations on the film are skyrocketing as the release date is nearing. Kajal Aggarwal is romancing Pawan Kalyan for the first time in this film. The movie is a hot cake in trade and it is witnessing never before offers from trade.

According to the current trend, the pre-release business of the movie is going towards 80-90 Crore excluding the satellite rights which means Eros International, the film rights holder will end up with huge table profit. Power fame Bobby is wielding megaphone for this film.
