Joining the likes of Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan etc now is the young Akkineni hero, Akhil.

Today, Akhil visited Khammam and met his 6-year-old fan named Ashwith Reddy, who is suffering from a kidney related disease from a long time. Apparently, Ashwith is a huge fan of Akhil and he expressed his wish to meet the young hero.

Akhil spoke with the boy’s worried parents and enquired about his health. Akhil then turned an auto driver and drove an auto and collected money from the passersby and passengers, and gave the money to Ashwith’s parents and hoped that his little fan will recover soon. Needless to say, Ashwith was thrilled to no limits to meet his favorite star.

Around a month ago, Tollywood’s most flamboyant and chilled out director Puri Jagannadh made headlines when he revamped his ‘Cave’ by removing most of his staff, including his Assistant Directors who have been working with him for years. Puri reasoned that his team members stopped listening to him due to the closeness factor.

Puri then took some time for introspection and also to find his new team. As per the latest buzz, the dashing director roped in a young hero as his assistant and he is none other than his son Akash Puri as one of his ADs.

Akash is already working on the sets of his father’s ongoing film, Rogue, and learning the tricks of the trade. It is well known that Akash made a forgettable debut with the teenage romantic drama, Andhra Pori, last year. The young hero also has an immense experience as a child actor.

Post the debacle of his debut film as a hero, Akash vowed to take a 3-year break before he again returns to the silver screen. Some of the biggest stars like Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor etc started off their careers as assistant directors, which helped them in understanding the nuances of filmmaking. No doubt that the father-son duo has taken the right decision.

Young rebel star Prabhas is busy with Baahubali 2 shooting, however he is listening to new scripts in free time. He already gave nod to work with Run Raja Run fame director Sujeeth for a high budget entertainer to be made under UV Creations Banner.

If all goes well, Prabhas would work under the same banner for a new movie with a flop director. The producers of UV Creations have asked young director Radha Krishna to prepare a subject for Prabhas.

It is also heard that, Krishna is readying a romantic story for Prabhas who is willing to come out of Baahubali image. Radha Krishna made a debacle debut as director with Gopichand starred Jil which was produced under UV Creations Banner.

The production House is giving him another chance, believing in his technical intelligence. What more, if he can ready an entertaining script, Radha Krishna will get to direct Prabhas.

As we reported earlier, Prabhas also provided his call sheets for Mythri Movie Makers. Director, Heroine and other cast and crew is yet to be finalized for the film. Seems like, Prabhas will be busy for few more years. Radha Krishna will be luckiest, if he can please Prabhas with new script!

Like senior actresses Nayanthara, Trisha and Hansika, Telugu heroine Anjali is also showing her special concern over horror films. After scoring a hit with Geethanjali, Anjali is now doing yet another horror flick that will be based completely in USA.

The bilingual film is titled Chitrangada in Telugu and Yaar Nee in Tamil. Directed by Ashok of Pilla Zamindar fame and produced by Gangapatnam Sridhar, Anjali gained weight for her role in the film. Chitrangada will reportedly be shot in 8 states of USA and the story is based on a transgender.

V Selvaganesh will render tracks for the flick. Raghava Lawrence’s directorial film Kanchana story based on transgender was a super hit. In fact, such roles will give scope for actors to perform.

For now, it is yet not known who will be playing the transgender role in Chitrangada, but Anjali is hoping to scare audience once again with the horror thriller. Apart from this film, Anjali has several projects lined up in Telugu as well as Tamil. More importantly, she is in frontline for Balakrishna’s 100th film.

Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam is delayed. Contrary to previous plan, two schedules of the film have been cancelled and makers are now chalking out new schedules to shoot the film. Apparently, Sam is one of the reasons behind delay in the film’s shoot.

So far, the scenes involving Kajal Aggarwal, Pranitha Subash, Mahesh Babu and few other scenes were shot including a song in Ramoji Film City in the first schedule. It’s learnt that Samantha, one of the heroines of the film, is not yet entered onto the sets.

While Sam is citing dates issues as she is busy with shoot of other films, the delay in Brahmotsavam is worrying Mahesh fans in big way.

As the film is slated for April 29 release, and if the Sreekanth Addala directorial doesn’t make it on time, this would give more space for Pawan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh which is all set for release on April 8. As fans of Mahesh and Pawan are already crossing swords that who would emerge as biggest winner this Summer, delay in Brahmotsavam is now worrying factor.

Young and most happening hero Nani’s latest flick Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha is hitting big screens on February 12th. Now, when the film’s release date is nearing, the makers are doing right things to grab the attention of Balakrishna fans.

In the release date posters of KVPG, Nani in an angry mood is seen displaying Jai Balayya tattoo on his hand. Apparently, the makers have concluded to please Balakrishna fans for additional curiosity on the project.

Recently, the filmmakers clarified that, Nani is playing Balakrishna’s fan, but they never wanted to title it as Jai Balayya as reported in media. KVPG is said to be a hilarious entertainer, where Nani will be seen as fearful guy.

His fondness for Mehrene Kaur Peerzada, makes him to take on baddies in his village. Makers predict of Nani accomplishing hat trick hits with KVPG. Nani’s last two outings- Yevade Subramanyam was an above average grosser and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy was a runaway hit.

With Nani presence, KVPG is sure to do well in urban centers, especially in multiplexes, but Balakrishna content will boost up the film chances in mass centers.

Off late, Siddarth is only focussing on Tamil films. After a long time, his last movie Aranmanai 2 was dubbed and released in Telugu as Kalavathi simultaneously with Tamil version, only because of the prequel Aranamani (Chandrakala) effect. As we all know, Chandrakala was a hit in Telugu.

Telugu makers invested good sum for Kalavathi theatrical rights since they wanted to cash on Chandrakala success, nonetheless the Trisha and Hansika co-starrer film is providing huge losses to them, wherein the film is declared a hit in Tamil version with Rs 15 crore shares already for 10 days.

In Tamil, Aranmanai 2 is performing well in B and C centres, because of glamour factor. As per trade analysts, the film has been received well by family spectators too. Although the Telugu version Kalavathi opened decently, it couldn’t continue the good run due to not-so-good narration.

In fact, the narration was almost alike of the first part, and at some time we get a feeling of watching the original version again. Other negative factor is excess of Tamil flavour in the Sunder C directorial.
