Chiranjeevi’s 150th film suspense on ‘Kaththi’ controversy is although continuing on one side as Mega family’s negotiation with writer Narasimha Rao might come to a happy ending in next few days, Ramcharan in parallel is following the commands from his father in satisfactory wrapping up of Telugu script currently in re-working process under the mighty observation of VV Vinayak and Paruchuri Brothers.

In fact, ‘Kaththi’ Tamil script needs to have few minor changes to make it a jig saw fit for Mega Star. Accordingly the early episodes in Tamil version wherein hero Vijay characterized as Kathiresan, the petty criminal who runs away from prison and then falls in love with Samanta in airport are to get completely modified. Instead, Chiranjeevi’s character is likely to be introduced as an innocent village person who lands in Hyderabad to fall in love with heroine.

Going by non-commercial terms and keeping Mega Star’s politically reflecting image, Vinayak and Chiranjeevi have decided not to use Kathiresan’s thread as it is. So, altercations are in the process. However, Jeevanandam characterization will be more or less sincere to the original. Let us see, how far these amendments to Kathiresan and ‘Kaththi’ affect the Telugu output.

The budding musical talent in Shan Johnson recognized as a singer and musician came to an abrupt end. Aged 29 years, Shan was found dead in her Apartment in Chennai on February 5. To mention here, Shan is the daughter of famous Malayalam music composer Johnson. Much to the grave of family, her father died in 2011 followed by brother in an accident in 2012 and now Shan Johnson.

Media sources say, Shan was working in Chennai and resided in a Kodambakkam apartment. After the breaking up of first marriage, Shan was all planning to travel Kochi today to make preparation for second marriage. During the time of incident, Shan’s mother Rani left to a relative house in Mylapore.

When Shan did not answer to repeated missed calls from one of friends, her mother Rani was alerted. Later they arrived at flat only to see Shan lying dead on bed after breaking the main door. Police have registered the case of unnatural death with no suicide note found in premises. Reports also say, Shan Johnson was suffering with few health problems and was under medication from last few years.

Ever since ‘Ghajini’ became a blockbuster in Kollywood, the first banner from Tollywood to eye on tapping the director AR Murugadoss talent happens to be Geetha Arts. Though the early proposals of remaking ‘Ghajini’ with Pawan Kalyan weren’t materialized, Allu Aravind and Chiranjeevi had lot of belief on Muruga which was resulted in average film ‘Stalin.’

Yet again, Muruga is becoming a popular buzz name in Tollywood with acceptance of a Mahesh Babu film to be made as bi-lingual on very high budget. As per reports from close film circles, Murugadoss is very much in contact with Geetha Arts camp and a film either with Allu Arjun or Ramcharan can be on cards in next year. For a creator like Muruga, preparing scripts is a cakewalk. What matters the most is lack of sufficient time in setting perfect combinations.

Post the completion of Mahesh Babu’s film, chances are high for Murugadoss to join Mega camp one more time. Hopefully, this will not be a ‘Stalin.’ Till then, let’s wait for more updates.

The illustrious leadership of Ktr is the chief reason behind TRS sweeping the GHMC Polls with a historical majority. As the celebrations are going non-stop all over the Telangana state, Ktr is finally getting relaxed by watching a Telugu film and it’s ‘Nannaku Prematho.’ Timing of this show exactly coinciding with Ktr presenting the GHMC victory as an ode of respect and love towards his father KCR, this show is obviously a matter of significance.

In fact, Ktr and Jr NTR share a wonderful bond because they are two likeminded people who not only have a deep admiration for their fathers but also share a commonality in serving the people with non-political motives. This made Tarak (Ktr) to select Tarak (NTR) movie ‘Nannaku Prematho’ as a best choice to sum up all his emotions towards father KCR. Currently, Ktr is at PVR Banjara Hills watching the movie.

Ktr is known for maintaining close friendly contacts with cinema celebrities. He attended few of the premiere shows in past and now he is doing it for one of his close friends NTR with ‘Nannaku Prematho.’ This is the right way of celebrating the GHMC triumph. Hope NTR and Ktr continue this friendship for their rest of life. To remind here, CM KCR is also a diehard admirer of Legendary Senior NTR.

With popular faces like Rana Daggubati, Arya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu on board, one would expect at least average to above average openings for Bangalore Naatkal. Shockingly, the film is off to poor start at the box office.

Bangalore Naatkal minted $2,132 [Rs1.45 lakhs] on Friday in USA, which is a below par performance. The Bommarillu Bhaskar directorial is not up to the mark in Tamil Nadu too; however it is doing decent business in Chennai multiplexes, as per trade analysts.

In fact, other Tamil film Visaranai that released yesterday has killed chances of Bangalore Naatkal at box office. The Dhanush produced and Vetrimaaran directed movie is exceptional in TN with positive mouth talk.

Wrong casting is what everyone opines for the bad openings. Although all the artists gave their best, critics and movie buffs are comparing the remake version and the performances with original Malayalam version and its artists.This is what the biggest problem in remaking classics.

As we know, Prince Mahesh has great success percentage in the US. His upcoming film ‘Brahmotsavam’ is carrying super buzz at the moment. Reports are that the US buyers are quoting Rs.13 crores for theatrical rights of the movie. But the deal is yet finalized. Meanwhile, the movie is also expected to do good business in all other areas and may stand next to ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ in pre biz.

Meanwhile, the makers are contemplating to release the movie on May 27 and an official announcement is awaited. ‘Brahmotsavam’ has Samantha, Kajal and Pranitha in female lead roles.

Micky J Meyer is composing the music for ‘Brahmotsavam’. Srikanth Addala, who earlier directed ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, helms the project. The movie is being made on PVP Cinema and MB Entertainment.

Bellamkonda Srinivas has a mountain to climb if his Speedunnodu has to enter the safe zone. The movie has done more than eighteen crores business worldwide and should collect a distributor share of 20 crores to breakeven. Buyers have invested so much in the film as they believed that Alludu Seenu hero and Sudigadu director cannot go wrong.

Speedunnodu opened to below average to bad talk all over and the collections on its opening day aren’t encouraging either. It will be pretty hard for this film to stand its ground with this talk. Luckily there wasn’t much competition at the box office that may help its prospects a bit. Bellamkonda Srinivas made a bad choice by selecting this character that didn’t suit his age or style.

Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao did well in promoting the movie aggressively but that didn’t help the film to get decent openings. The film could have picked up by evening if the word of mouth is positive. Trade experts say that there is no chance for this film to breakeven. It may end up as an average grosser if it does exceptionally well, predicted trade sources.

There have been many stories about, makers of ‘Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha’ hiding a thing of hero Nani playing Balakrishna fan in the movie. Adding more fuel to the rumor, Nani was seen with a tattoo on his hand that reads ‘Jai Balayya’ in the teaser.

While some maintain, the makers are hiding about Nani’s role, being a Balakrishna fan, as not to hurt other hero fans, Balayya fans on the other hand opine they might have hidden it to surprise them in theaters. Everybody has their own tales in this regard, but to put an end Nani clarifies on these rumors.

“There is a rumor of me playing a Balakrishna fan in the film, because I have this tattoo ‘Jai Balayya’ on my hand. But, there is no truth in these rumors”, clarified Nani who is busy promoting his film set to release on February 12th.

Mehrene Kaur Peerzada is female lead opposite Nani in the romantic comedy film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film is expected to rake great openings, with effect of Nani’s last movie Bhale Bhale Magadivoy that turned out as blockbuster everywhere.

Chennai: Tamil actress Devayani, who was last seen in Telugu cinema over a decade ago, is reportedly making a comeback as Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s wife in the upcoming Telugu family drama “Janatha Garage”.

“Devayani has been roped in to essay a very important role. She will be seen as Mohanlal’s wife,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Devayani, who was last seen in 2003 Telugu film “Nani”, is expected to join the sets from the third week of this month. The film, which will be directed by Koratala Siva, stars Junior NTR and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film will have music by Devi Sri Prasad.
