The career of Aadi as a young actor immediately needs a strong break. Having worked with romantic concepts and few new commercial ideas, he never tasted a success really of his caliber. With the tag of father Sai Kumar helping him to build an early innings, it’s time for Aadi to stand on his legs and the right film which can do this for him is ‘Garam.’

Directed by emotional specialist Madan, the project has Adah Sharma in heroine role. ‘Garam’ is scheduled to hit the screens on 12th of this month and Sai Kumar being the producer, they are eyeing for a bombastic release plan. ‘I have seen many producers but Sai Kumar is different and completely passionate.

Initially, I was given a limited budget to wrap the project. When he started liking the rushes, the budget is enhanced and the quality output which we see today is just because of budgetary freedom,’ director Madan informed.

‘Sai Kumar Garu is very happy after seeing the film. We are quite confident and Aadi’s most awaited break is here to be achieved with ‘Garam.’ This is a complete commercial package with lots of emotions of my style,’ Madan added.

Despite pairing up for the first time, the chemistry between Tollywood handsome hunk Rana Daggubati and gorgeous lady Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Bangalore Naatkal was rocking. Both appeared trendy mature in flashback episodes, and Samantha made her presence felt in a brief role as Rana’s former girlfriend.

In the film, Rana played a workaholic corporate executive, ignores his wife Sri Divya, because of his sorrowful past with Samantha. The romantic song between Rana and Samantha was soothing and makes great impact.

Although Rana looked decent and dignified in current episodes, he was like a rockstar as a racer in flashback episodes. These scenes will surely connect well with metro audiences.

At the same time, Rana and Sri Divya too looked easy on eyes despite their height variation, thanks to cinematographer Guhan. Arya, Bobby Simha, Parvathy and Raai Laxmi are other lead cast in the film directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar.

The new-age romantic comedy film released yesterday in Tamil Nadu, opened to mixed reviews, and the Telugu version release is pending. Producer PVP is contemplating to remake the film in Telugu with good cast.

Thanks to the super buzz garnered with the trailer of Guntur Talkies. Noted producer and distributor Sai Korrapati, of Eega fame, has bought the theatrical rights of Praveen Sattaru’s Guntur Talkies. Total theatrical rights of the film was sold to Sai for a fancy price.

Sai has a rare talent of picking up right projects. It can be noted that he also bought the theatrical rights of Omkar’s Raju Gari Gadi after watching trailer and the film turned out to be big hit.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Sidhu, Rashmi Gautam, Shraddha Das, Lakshmi Manchu, Mahesh Manjrekar, Naresh in significant roles, the film’s trailer was recently unveiled by Nandamuri Balakrishna. Now it needs to be seen whether Sai would release the film on his own or whether he would sell it off.

Yes, latest updates revealed that ‘Guntur Talkies’ overall comprehensive rights are bagged by Sai Korrapati of Varahi Chalana Chithra. In fact, Sai has been a big force behind small and medium budgeted films from new talents getting a decent release and good success in recent times. For example, ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’ from Omkar and ‘Jatha Kalise’ from Ashwin were received to decent Box Office response just because of Sai handling their releases.

With entry of Sai Korrapati into ‘Guntur Talkies,’ definitely the film would be promoted in a new light because brand value always matters the most. If everything goes as per the plan, the movie might release sometime in March depending upon availability of theaters.

Its a never ending mystery on release date of first Telugu movie Bhakta Prahlada. Our media research says that Bhakta Prahlada was released today before 84 years, the February 6th 1932, but our Telugu film industry never agrees it to be. There were different arguments that ‘Bhakta Prahlada’ was released on 1931 September 15th, that is six months after first Indian talkie movie ‘Aalam Aara’ got released.

But condemning those dates, the latest update says the release as 1932 February 6th, while it was censored on January 22nd. It took nearly two more months for the movie to get released in Chennai.

Leaving apart the controversies, with all the available proofs, Its been exactly 84 years since the first Telugu mookie movie got released in the direction of HM Reddy. ‘Alam Aara’ director Ardeshir Irani wanted to direct films in Telugu and Tamil but his lack of grip on South languages asked HM Reddy to direct ‘Bhakta Prahlada’ in Telugu and ‘Kalidasu’ in Tamil.

In those days, the famous Surabhi drama society used to play Bhakta Prahlada written by Ramakrishnacharyulu. When the movie proposal came up, they were called upon to Bombay to make a plan on how it can be presented for a movie.

The movie was later shot in Krishna Movietone studios in Bombay at cost of Rs 20,000 only! Munipalle Subbaiah played the role of Hiranyakasipa and Surabhi Kamalabai slipped into the role of his wife Leelavathi. Krishnaji Rao Sindhe played the lead role Prahlada.

One of our popular directors LV Prasad too played a small role in Bhakta Prahlada and later he was seen in first Tamil talkie Kaalidaasu also. As time passed by, talkies totally overshadowed mookies. Mookie legends lost their fame slowly to talkie films and language divided audience, leaving each section wishing to have films in their own language.

Hero Nithiiin has zeroed in on Nenu Sailja director Tirumala Kishore for his next. None other than Nithiin has made a formal announcement that he’d be teaming up with Kishore. And as expected, the film is produced by Nithiin’s home production only. Of late, Nithiin is going through lean phase.

While his previous film Chinnadana Neekosam turned out to be dud, his maiden production venture Akhil is disaster. Currently, Nithiin is doing ‘A…Aa’ with director Trivikram Srinivas after which he’d work with Kishore.

He’s third-time lucky as Nenu…Sailaja with Ram did wonders at the ticket windows. Thanks to Sailaja success, Kishore bagged opportunity in form of Nithiin. Let’s wait and see whether Kishore overturns Nithiin’s fortunes or not.

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas debuted as an energetic young mass hero with ‘Alludu Seenu’ in VV Vinayak direction is here with second film ‘Speedunnodu’ released yesterday. The movie opened to divided verdict from audience on day one and the best point is Sai getting rave appreciations for the kind of development visible in him as an artist.

As per the early talk, ‘Speedunnodu’ is called as an unfaithful remake to Tamil ‘Sundara Pandiyan’ and the fault is entirely put on director Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao for mishandling a subject which had genuine soul. In order to establish Sai as a true mass hero, there is no necessity for his father Bellamkonda Suresh to aim on this kind of remake subjects. Tamil version had honesty in content narration and so was a perfect backdrop with strong selection of artists.

In that context, ‘Speedunnodu’ title is a misnomer and the choice of Bellamkonda Sai as central protagonist also misfired. Never late than ever, Sai can analyze his zones of strength and remain choosy in handpicking those scripts which suit his body language to core. One more mistake can prove to be a costly affair.

Mythri movie makers made a smashing debut in Tollywood with their first production ‘Srimanthudu’. Their second movie is ‘Janata Garage’ with Junior NTR. The movie is likely to go on floors this month and is being planned for a release in August.

In the meantime, they have reportedly gone ahead and signed on Prabhas for a project. After ‘Baahubali 2’, Prabhas will do a movie for UV Creations in the direction of Sujith. Following this, he will do a movie for Mythri movies.

And the production house is also trying to put together a project with Pawan Kalyan in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. Clearly, this is scorching pace for any production house.

It is not a joke to be able to plan and pull off such huge projects in the industry. But Mythri seems to be on a mission.
