Superstar Krishna is all set to make his grand return to silver screen with a powerful revenge drama titled Sri Sri. The film will have its audio launch on 18th of this month at Shilpa Kala Vedhika. Mahesh Babu will be the Chief Guest of the event and will be unveiling the music album.

Mahesh’s presence will help the movie get good eyeballs. Muppalaneni Siva is wielding megaphone for this movie.

Krishna will be seen in the role of a common man who is inspired by the legendary revolutionary poet, Sri Sri. The film also stars Krishna’s wife and yesteryear heroine Vijaya Nirmala and senior actor Naresh.

Malayalam singer – composer Shan Johnson was found dead in her own apartment yesterday. She is daughter of famous late musician Johnson. Shan came to apartment after finishing a recording and she has to travel to Kochi with her mother for arrangements of her second marriage.

Reports say that her first marriage was a failure. Shan reached her apartment alone while her mother went to a relatives house at Mylapore. Her mother alarmed a friend on Shan not answering repeated calls for a long time.

The person reached her apartment and after repeated attempts to open the door, they broke in to see Shan lying on bed, dead. Shan is said to be under medication for health problems and reason for death is not known. Police could not find any suicide note, registered her death as unnatural.

Her body was sent to Rayapettah hospital for postmortem. Her father died in 2011 and her brother died in 2012 in a road accident. Shan was a trained western and carnatic musician. Her songs from Engeyayum Eppodum, Paravai and Thira are famous.

National award winning Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be the guest of honour at the International Fleet Review (IFR), in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The actress will take part in the celebrations and share the stage with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Governor ESL Narasimhan.

Kangana will also be part of a sailing event, where she will sail with PM Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee, including other national and international dignitaries. Following a 21-gun salute and the ceremonial Guard of Honour, the Presidential Yacht will embark on its sail through 70 ships at anchorage off Visakhapatnam coast.

Apparently, Kangana was approached by the government authorities for this mega event four months back. In the past, Kangana represented India at global level when she took part in the Women In The World Summit in London.

Nani’s Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha has got an open ground at the box office. Sankranthi releases have slowed down significantly and their run may end by this weekend. Speedunnodu which released yesterday totally opened to flop talk and even openings are not that great.

Most likely the film will end its run by this weekend itself. Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha releasing next Friday will have a competition free run at the box office. If the talk is good, the movie is likely to rake in big numbers.

On the other side, the makers are targeting huge release for the film across the globe. In United States, the movie is releasing 125+ locations, which is very huge for Nani’s film.

Hat-trick hero Raj Tarun finally faltered at the BO with ‘Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu’. Audiences are finding the movie a bit old-fashioned. Naveen Chandra’s ‘Lacchimi Deviki O Lekkundi’ also disappointed at the ticket window.

‘Kalavathi’ had good openings but is seeing declined interest whereas ‘Nenu Rowdyne’ despite good word-of-mouth is suffering due to lack of publicity.
