As expected, Prince Mahesh has been walked away with prestigious IIFA Best Male Actor award for his dazzling performance in ‘Srimanthudu’. In an eye-catching event of ‘IIFA Utsavam’ held yesterday at Gachiowli Stadium, Hyderabad, Mahesh received the award from King Nagarjuna.

” Srimanthudu is the best film in my career and I am happy to receive this award. I like to thank my producers and I will be grateful towards them,” says the jubilant Mahesh. Apart from best male actor, ‘Srimanthudu’ also bagged awards from the categories like leading actress, supporting actor, best musician and playback singers and best lyricist awards.

On the other hand, ‘Baahugali’ received major share of awards winning them in the categories such as best director, best movie, best villain, best supporting actress and best female playback singer.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s highly awaited film ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’s rights have been acquired by Eros International for a record price of Rs.72 crores. They have also reportedly locked the release date of the movie as April 8. The makers are planning to launch the audio of the movie on March 12.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Sarrainodu’ is being filmed at a rapid pace and this movie too, is being contemplated for release on April 8 which falls on the birthday of Allu Arjun. Since dates clash appears to be inevitable, the makers of both the films should come to an understanding to ensure at least two weeks gap between the releases of both the films. Maybe, one of these movie will be postponed to third week of April to avoid the clash.

‘Sarrainodu’ is being helmed by Boyapati Srinu. Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa are doing the female leads of the film. Mega Producer Allu Aravind is producing the movie on Geetha Arts.

At a time when film critics and trade circles are expressing serious doubts on how far producer BVSN Prasad and Sukumar are justified to spend 45 Crores budget on this film and how good buyers (except Overseas) are reaping the profits, the coincidental lines from NTR on he isn’t thinking about commercial Box Office terms has strengthened the voice of critics and trade circles.

‘This film (Nannaku Prematho) cannot be gauged in commercial terms because money is secondary and winning the audience respect, professional satisfaction is primary. This is one project which will be reminded by audience and all of us for a long time,’ NTR said.

Accordingly, ‘Speedunnodu’ from director Bhimaneni Srinivaas Raavu has fixed February 5th release date while ‘Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha’ from 14 Reels banner under Hanu Raghavapudi direction is eyeing on February 12 and lastly Dil Raju’s ‘Krishnashtami’ might sit pretty happy for February 19.
