Last night, Vishnu took to Twitter to express his angst about the the injustice caused to Rohith Vemula and the disgusting acts of the power hungry politicians as he tweeted, “No one (wanted to) hear(d) Rohit Vemula when he was shouting about the injustice.

And now after his death, he is heard the loudest.” Ridiculing the leaders’ sudden apathy towards the whole incident, Vishnu lashed out saying, “Suddenly he is the poster boy for all politicians across the country & I don’t know if they know that there are lot of Rohit Vemulas around.

” The Manchu hero then lamented about the declining human values in the society saying, “Somewhere down the line we are slowly losing our humanity. Hope what Rohit died for, is at least acknowledged.” It is heartening to see a sane voice in the world of glamour and glitz. Well done, Vishnu!

Tamil actor Vishal says he has no plans of entering into the wedlock anytime soon as he is occupied with his career and several activities related to Nadigar Sangam.

Last year, Vishal was sworn in as the general secretary of Nadigar Sangam, also known as South Indian Artistes’ Association.

“I’m not yet ready for marriage; it can wait. I plan to get hitched only after the building of Nadigar Sangam is completed. I had made a promise to construct the building when I was sworn in. I want to keep my word,” Vishal told IANS.

Vishal, 38, is currently busy shooting for Tamil film “Marudhu”.

Actress Anasuya Bharadwaj, mostly known for her cameo performances so far, plays a powerful police officer in upcoming Telugu venture “Kshanam”. The film is directed by debutant Ravikanth Perepu and produced by PVP Cinema.

“She plays an honest police officer. It’s a full-length role that even gave her the opportunity to perform some action,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS. Anasuya, in order to play her role, closely studied a few women police officers.

“It’s with a lot of preparation she accepted the role, which required her to perform with restraint. Audiences are going to be surprised by her performance,” the source said. The film, which has the perfect blend of suspense and romance, features Adivi Sesh and Adah Sharma in the lead roles.

The grapevine is abuzz that Raviteja’s Yevado Okadu has been put on the backburner due to creative differences between Mass Maharaja and Dil Raju. As per gossip winery Raviteja is not impressed with how the script shaped out and therefore asked the director Venu Sriram to work on it.

Producer Dil Raju is pretty convinced with the script it seems. He tried to convince Raviteja but the actor is not willing to risk it as his recent movies didn’t live up to expectations. Raviteja is yet to score a hit post Balupu. His Power and Bengal Tiger turned out to be average grosser and Kick 2 ended up as a disaster.

Raviteja is under tremendous pressure to deliver a hit and he is being extra cautious about his next project. He has green lit Yevado Okadu on Dil Raju’s production even before Bengal Tiger was out. However the actor asked for some changes in the script to which Dil Raju said no.

Either parties are not willing for a compromise at the moment. The project is in danger of getting called off says the buzz. Official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.

Oopiri is all set to be the biggest budgeted film in the career of Nagarjuna at Rs 60 crore. Starring Karthi and Nagarjuna in the lead roles, the movie is a remake of the French film, ‘The Intouchables’ and is directed by Vamsi Pydapalli.

Even though it is a bilingual, nevertheless, Rs 60 crore has never been invested earlier on any film of Nagarjuna or Karthi for that matter. The interesting thing is that the budget was decided even before the release of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’. So the producers had no inkling that ‘Soggade’ would go on to become such a big hit.

They merely trusted in the contents of the script narrated by Vamsi. The success of ‘SCN’ has only be termed as divine providence for it has created a huge market for ‘Oopiri’.

Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hollywood star Eva Longoria’s friendship is there for all to see in a new ad campaign, in which the two actresses look charismatic. Eva holds Aishwarya close as they pose for the India campaign wearing rose pink-coloured ensembles.

The actor’s latest flick Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha (KVPG) audio has been released yesterday in the presence of Mahesh Babu. While speaking at the event, director Hanu Raghavapuri revealed that, Nani did double duty for the film. “Nani is a terrific actor.

He also worked as an assistant director for the movie. Mehrene Kaur Peerzada performed well in the role of Maha Lakshmi. I thought it was tough task to make this film. But, I could easily make it. Yuvraj’s cinematography will be major highlight,” said Hanu.

Nani has lauded his director Hanu for his passion towards filmmaking. He said they have become brother in the film’s journey.

The Eega star has also appreciated his producers for working as assistant directors for the picture. KVPG is said to be hilarious entertainer and the film’s theatrical trailer is already an instant hit. Nani will be seen as hard core fan of Balakrishna. The film is due for release on February 5th.

Balakrishna has a special liking for Sankranthi festival. Most of his successful films were released for Sankranthi. His fans fondly address him as the Sankranthi King. In spite of few failures in the recent past, Balakrishna has released his latest film Dictator for this Sankranthi. It has clashed with three other films and did decent business in its first week.

Dictator was particularly good in Ceded and Godavari districts in spite of huge competition. There is a considerable drop in Dictator’s collections on week days and it still has a long way to go to be termed as a hit. However Balakrishna is happy with the way Dictator performed over the Sankranthi weekend. He is now planning to release his next film for Sankranthi too.

This is Balakrishna’s 100th film. Balakrishna chose to do a sequel to Aditya 369 as his landmark movie. Aditya 369 is one of the rarest Indian films in science fiction genre. The sequel is titled Aditya 999 and will be filmed within five months. As the film will have lot of VFX work, it will need more time for post production. As of now Balakrishna has reserved his berth for next Sankranthi. Let’s see who would be willing to lock horns with Balakrishna’s hundredth movie.

As we reported earlier, Sri Vass who directed Balakrishna’s 99th film Dictator has looked after all production works of the picture with a budget given by Eros International. On the whole, Sri Vass acted as co-producer for the mass action entertainer.

Dictator is running successfully and the movie is expected to end as a profit maker for the producers. Impressed with Sri Vass’s commitment and dedication, Eros is requesting the director to continue the same work for their next Telugu film which would be Balakrishna’s 100th film.

Sri Vass will be supervising production works of the film titled Aditya 999 Max to be directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. Since the film is a socio fantasy, Eros is ready to invest big amount on the project and Sri Vass will get his share from profits for managing the production.

Apart from acting, Balakrishna is also providing story for the film. The senior actor is looking for possibilities to introduce his son Mokshagna with this film by offering an important role. The film is touted to be the first pre-recorded film of Indian cinema. Balakrishna said to announce more details of the project in a week days.

Good news for the Sankranthi releases as there won’t be any notable new releases in this week. Telugu dubbed version of Tamil actor Vishal’s Kathakali was supposed to be released on this Friday. But the film will not release on 22nd January as it is yet to complete the censor formalities.

Even the other Telugu releases like Kalyana Vaibhogame too were pushed to some other date leaving free ground for Sankranthi movies for another week. This is great news for Nannaku Prematho as it can go close to the breakeven mark. All other Sankranthi films will have a decent number of screens in second week to cash upon.

Soggade Chinni Nayana and Express Raja will get a bigger range with no competition in this week. Also Dictator will get a chance to increase its stack as Kathakali would have attracted the masses.

Vishal’s Kathakali has been receiving very good reviews from Tamil critics. Director Pandiraj is being lauded for making a taut thriller. We should wait for few more days to experience the thrilling Kathakali.

Young Tiger NTR’s silver jubilee film under Sukumar’s direction Nannaku Prematho released as a Sankranthi treat amidst heavy expectations from fans. On the opening day, the film released to mixed reviews and average word of mouth, causing a few initial jitters among the film’s makers and fans.

While everyone were predicting that Nannaku Prematho may not withstand the heavy Sankranthi box-office clash and will end up as an average fare, director VV Vinayak was the first person to call up Sukumar and instill confidence in him.

Apparently, VV Vinayak, soon after Nannaku Prematho’s first show, called up Sukumar and told him that the film will get mixed talk initially and also asked him not to lose hope since the film will surely pick up in no time and garner decent collections.

Making VV Vinayak’s prediction come true, the film has successfully sustained the divide talk and already collected 42 crore share in just 7 days and is now racing ahead to enter the 50 crore club. It is well known that Sukumar was a former assistant director to VV Vinayak on the latter’s 2003 hit, Dil.
