When everyone thought, actress Trisha Krishnan is almost fading out of film industry, the Chennai Ponnu is off late doing some interesting projects in Telugu as well as Tamil. The starlet who recently scored a blockbuster in Tamil with Bhooloham has signed to play a negative role in an upcoming Tamil political thriller film Kodi written and directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar.

Dhanush will play dual roles that of two brothers in this film and Trisha will be seen opposite the elder- brother character. Trisha’s is a dominant character on the lines of Narasimha’s Ramya Krishna. As per reports, she will be remembered for long time for her powerful characterization in the flick. In fact, roles with negative shades will give space for heroines to perform and Trisha is hoping to showcase her acting skills with Kodi.

Actually, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was original choice for the role, however Trisha is confirmed for the role, since the Dirty Picture starlet couldn’t allocate call sheets for the Dhanush starrer film. Actress Shamlee who made debacle debut with ‘Oy!’ will be seen as the love interest of the younger brother (Dhanush).

Trisha’s latest movie Kalavathi (Aranmanai 2 in Tamil) is scheduled to hit the big screens on January 29th. Siddharth, Hansika Motwani and Poonam Bajwa are other lead cast in the Sunder C directorial project.

Lavanya Tripathi is becoming hot property in Tollywood with hit after hit coming on her way. Last year it was Bhale Bhale Magadiovy that did wonders to her career and she began 2016 with another big hit with Soggade Chinni Nayana, both are entertainers.

The slender beauty is now being called golden girl. With Rakul’s films flopping, Lavanya is earning this image. In the recent times Rakul had this image but after initial two or three good hits, Rakul started delivering flops. On the other hand, Lavanya has given two hits in a row.

Unlike her contemporaries, Lavanya Tripathi is game for acting with senior actors too. She is looking equally good as a pair with a senior hero like Nagarjuna. With focus is on her now, the Tripathi girl will be signing more movies this year.

Sankranthi season is considered as biggest festive season for Telugu people. Most of the star hero films will be targeted at Sankranthi to cash in the advantage of festive holidays. But this Sankranthi season disadvantage is that, Sankranthi happened to be on Friday, which means from Monday Schools and Colleges were reopened.

This time, 4 movies got released for Sankranthi and interestingly all movies got more or less equal ratings and positive talk. This means all the 4 films have to share collections.

Now, as the festive holiday advantage completed, this week will be very crucial to all the 4 films. Nannaku Prematho has to perform consistently over the next week to be in safe zone. Dictator and Soggade Chinni Nayana has got back their 50 percent shares. Express Raja seems to be in a better position as almost 70 percent of their investment is back.

Now, it will be interesting to see which movie will perform better in week days to emerge as Sankranthi winner.

Nagarjuna is a pakka businessman. When distributors are not keen on investing quoted prices, the actor is releasing his films on own. Correspondingly, Nagarjuna released his latest production venture Soggade Chinni Nayana on own in several areas. In overseas, Nagarjuna strategically released the movie in association with a local distributor and the family entertainer is turning out to be a hit there.

The film co-starring Lavanya Tripathi and Ramya Krishna in lead roles has crossed half million mark. It has grossed $535,183 (Rs 3.62 Crores) over the 1st weekend and is expected to provide huge profits.

It may be recalled that, Nagarjuna had sold Manam overseas rights on share basis and his strategy worked big way for the Vikram Kumar directorial. The same scene is repeating for Soggade Chinni Nayana too.

The film directed by debutant Kalyan Krishna is doing tremendous business, despite heavy competition at the box office. Since, Soggade Chinni Nayana has been made with a mediocre budget; it is sure shot to bring profits to all the parties involved in the film’s business.

In fact, Nagarjuna is the most to enjoy the profits, why because, he kept rights of few regions with him and the film is expected to cross breakeven mark by the month end. Fans and film buffs are enjoying the fun elements in Soggade Chinni Nayana. Nagarjuna is winning accolades for his double show, especially for his entertaining show as Bangarraju in panche kattu.

In December, just when Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad was gearing up to record the final song for Nannaku Prematho, his father and senior Tollywood writer Satya Murthy passed away due to heart attack. DSP, his family and the entire film fraternity was deeply shattered by this sudden loss.

DSP quickly recovered from the loss and finished his work for Nannaku Prematho on time and the film has now been termed a Sankranthi hit and DSP has been immensely appreciated for his chart bursting music. Recently, the film’s unit released the title song, conceived and composed by DSP himself.

Speaking on the occasion, DSP revealed an emotional incident in which his mother couldn’t control her tears while watching Nannaku Prematho. DSP said that his father died in the same way Rajendra Prasad’s character dies in the film – smiling pleasantly, and this made his mother even more emotional.
