These are the details of Rahul Gandhi’s educational qualifications filed in his election affidavit. In the affidavit, he states that he obtained an MPhil from Trinity College of the University of Cambridge, UK, in 1995, in Developmental Economics.

A certificate from the University shows that not only has he got dates wrong, he has even got the name of the course he took incorrect. What is even more worse is that this man who wants to become the future Prime Minister of this country failed in one of his four papers. Rahul got 58 per cent in “National Economic Planning and Policy” (according to the grading scale given in the certificate, 60 per cent is the minimum for a pass).

The certificate was issued in 2013 by Diana Kazemi, the secretary of the department of Development Studies (and not Developmental Economics as claimed by Rahul Gandhi) in which Rahul Gandhi studied. According to the University, Rahul read for the MPhil in 2004- 05, and not in 1994-95, as stated in his affidavit. His affidavit’s other claim, to have obtained his Bachelors from Rollins College in Florida, USA, is true (and is a departure from earlier claims by ‘supporters’ that he graduated from Harvard).

He also briefly attended St Stephen’s College in Delhi, gaining admission through the sports quota. Sports quota? This guy’s claims are full of loopholes and yet, he has enough clout to demand the suspension of the VC of UoH. Such is the political system in India. Can he even spell Vice- Chancellor?

One of the most eligible bachelors in the South film industry is up for grabs in the matrimony market. Rana Daggubati, who played Bhallaladeva in ‘Bahubali’ has published a matrimonial ad seeking a bride for Baahubali, Prabhas. The 36-year old star who is at the top of his game and starring in some of the biggest blockbusters of the year, still hasn’t found his perfect match.

His co-star and on-screen brother decided to help the hunk out and published the ad which has already got a couple hundred interested candidates. Going by the ad, the actor is in a rush to tie the knot and the search for Miss Right ends by the end of this year.

Actor Rana Daggubati took Twitter to post a picture of the ad that was titled ‘Wanted Bride for Baahubali.’ Rana has also listed taken it upon himself to jot down a few set of qualifications the girl should have in order to marry ‘Baahubali’. Check it out and see if you fit the bill.

Varun Tej Gives First Preference To Krish

Although Varun Tej signed a movie with director Gopichand Malineni last year, the young mega hero has changed his plans. Instead of going ahead with Malineni, he has given his immediate call sheets to the director Krish who gave him his first hit with “Kanche.”

Announcing his decision, he tweeted that his next film is Krish’s “Raaybari.” The movie is a spy thriller with a whopping budget of Rs 20 Cr and is likely to be shot extensively in Georgia and other European countries. Krish is repeating the same lead pair of Kanche – Varun and Pragya in this film.

Varun Tej’s decision has landed Gopichand Malineni in soup. His last movie “Pandaga Chesuko” was released in last May and since then he has been waiting to start the next. Varun Tej has become ideal hero for small budgeted makers as his last three movies raked in about Rs 10 Cr each.

With none of the Telugu movies finding their way into theaters today, common audience are glancing around to check updates about any other prominent Hindi or English films arriving today. Yes, the one to catch their attention is Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur’s ‘Airlift’ from director Raja Krishna Menon.

From very early moments the ‘Airlift’ teaser was released during last year end, there was superb reception from Indian public. As the movie speaks on National patriotism based on real life incidents happened in Kuwait during 1990’s Iran-Kuwait war where 1, 70, 000 Indians struck were evacuated through specially arranged aero planes.

Akshay Kumar played the central role of businessman Ranjit Katyal who took the initiative in pressurizing the Indian Foreign Affairs Ministry for airlifting the NRIs. Music composed by Amaal Mallik and Ankit Tiwari also helped the film grow big in pre release buzz. All in all, ‘Airlift’ happens to be the most awaited film. Classical Dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai Dead

Highly popular Indian classical dancer and also Padma Bhushan (1992) recipient Mrinalini Sarabhai is no more. She passed in Ahmedabad at the age of 97 suffering with age related ailments. Although Miranalini was admitted in hospital day before yesterday, the death was inevitable. She is a trained dancer in many classical forms like Bharata Natyam, Kathakali and Mohiniyattam.

In her personal life, Mrinalini married eminent Indian Space programme architect Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and is survived by daughter Mallika Sarabhai and son Kartikeya. Making the news official, ‘My mother Mrinalini Sarabhai has just left for her eternal dance,’ as posted on social networking by Mallika Sarabhai.

It’s matter of real privilege that Mrinalini has trained nearly 18,000 students into professional classical dancers. She is also one of the fond students to Rabindranath Tagore and was educated in Shantiniketan under the guidance of Tagore. CJ team prays for this divine soul to rest in peace.

Vishal Kathakali Postponed For NTR Nannaku Prematho

Vishal is not a simple hero. He is holding a powerful, influential position of Nadigar Sangham General Secretary Post after winning the seat with a decent majority. First film to release after this Vishal’s victory is ‘Kathakali.’ The Tamil version released for Pongal festive season gathered unique positive response and the action-thriller directed by Pandiraj is doing wonderful business in Tamil Nadu theaters.

Accepted a fact that Telugu Box Office was quite busy for the same Sankranti season and Vishal has withdrawn from competition owing to pressure from direct Telugu releases. Why ‘Kathakali’ Telugu dubbed version missed the date of 22nd that is today? Apparently, Vishal arrived in Hyderabad to manage the promotions but all this went in vain when release was postponed quoting Censor problems as the reason.

Inner sources are buzzing differently. Abhishek Pictures releasing ‘Kathakali’ in Telangana is also the main player in Junior NTR ‘Nannaku Prematho’ business. In order to provide one more extra week space for Tarak to rule Telugu market, Vishal is requested to hold ‘Kathakali’ for little more time and he obeyed. May be, Vishal also wanted a higher screen count for ‘Kathakali’ release which can’t be arranged now by Abhishek Pitcures when NPT is faring to decent crowds in many centers.

Director Koratala Siva is making only blockbusters and NTR has just delivered a hit with Nannaku Prematho. Special attraction in Janatha Garage is definitely Mohanlal who is making comeback to Telugu films after a long time.

After experimenting with semi-commercial subjects, NTR has made his mind to do a pure commercial subject to enchant his mass fans. The film- Janatha Garage will kick start in February. The makers of Srimanthudu will be producing the flick under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers while Devi Sri Prasad composes sound tracks. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menon are female leads.

The craze on the project is expected to be multiplied after release of first look posters and teaser, sometime maybe in April.
