Students Should Be Aware of Reputation of Universities

Some of the bogus coaching centers across Telugu states indulge in fake certificates racket and cheat the students issuing fake certificates. Although police bust these fake certificate racket in most of the cases, many of such rackets are yet to be busted.

On the other hand, students who want to do their higher education abroad should be aware of the reputation of the Universities. As we know, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was conferred doctorate by a university from Chicago. Yellow media has publicized that ‘University of Chicago’ has announced the doctorate to CBN.

In fact, the doctorate to CBN was declared by ‘Chicago State University’ but not ‘University of Chicago’. The latter is one of the world’s top class Universities while the former has no place and no rank among world’s top rated Universities.

Although students are in dire need of doing their higher education abroad, they should be careful in choosing the best Universities and some of the students are known to have learnt a lesson from ‘Chicago State University’s doctorate issue.

Trivikram Did Not Touch Sailaja

Share

NENU

Ram’s upcoming romantic entertainer Nenu Sailaja will be kick-starting Tollywood’s box-office fate in 2016 as the film is set for a January 1 release. Unlike most of Ram’s recent films, Nenu Sailaja has got decent pre-release buzz, thanks to its interesting trailer and DSP’s catchy songs.

While the film’s success is highly important to boost Ram’s career graph, even the film’s writer-director Kishore Tirumala needs the hit badly to gain a strong foothold in Tollywood. The director made an okayish debut with ‘Second Hand’ a couple of years ago.

Recently, there were several rumors that director Trivikram made several crucial changes to Nenu Sailaja’s script which also caused the delay. Trivikram shares a cordial relationship with Nenu Sailaja producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore as he made his directorial debut with Nuvve Nuvve produced by Ravi Kishore.

However, Kishore Tirumala refuted all the rumors terming them as baseless and clarified that Trivikram has nothing to do with Nenu Sailaja and that he didn’t make any changes to the script, which according to the director, is based on a real life story.

From the very initial days when ‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ has begun pre-release promotions, the name of Mahesh Babu added quite a bit of extra force to Sudheer Babu’s luck. Till date, none of the films from Sudheer Babu have got that positive buzz and the way a special premiere is arranged for this flick goes on to show kind of hungama created and confidence hidden in their team work.

After the presence of Mahesh Babu at audio launch, here is one more time the Tollywood Super Star left a post on Twitter expressing the happiness on his brother-in-law’s success. ‘Hearing good reviews for Bhale Manchi Roju. Will watch once I am back… Congrats to Sudheer Babu and the entire team,’ Mahesh Babu said.

As of now, Mahesh is enjoying the Christmas holidays at an undisclosed location along with family members. He might be back only in next week to re-start the production works of ‘Brahmotsavam.’

Soon after landing in Hyderabad, the first major obligation on Mahesh will be to watch ‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ and again leave a post on Twitter. That’s huge publicity folks!

If there are any confusions pertaining to Box Office competition for coming Pongal race, then make it sure that three films viz. Balakrishna ‘Dictator,’ Nagarjuna ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ and Sharwanand ‘Express Raja’ have taken their way. As per the preliminary reports we received, January 13, 14 and 15th are the dates locked by producers of above three films respectively in order.

While the dilemma on Junior NTR ‘Nannaku Prematho’ is still continuing, how far Sharwanand can put up a challenging show before two big stars Balayya and Nagarjuna will be a worth waiting element. ‘Express Raja’ is a combination of successful director Merlapaka Gandhi (‘Venkatadri Express’ fame) and hit hero Sharwanand with ‘Run Raja Run’ to credit.

UV Creations is known for unleashing high production standards with stunning visuals. They have done it from ‘Mirchi’ to ‘Jil’ and are damn confident of repeating a positive Box Office trick with ‘Express Raja.’ Heroine in the film is Surabhi of ‘Beeruva’ fame and Pravin Lakkaraju is the music director.

Earlier days, actor Shoban Babu is not just handsome but he managed to won hearts with romantic films on one hand & family audiences on another hand with family movies. Hence, Shoban Babu had got great lady fan following. After he passed away there is no replacement for him. Even now no one can replace him. But one hero among present generation seems to be following his line.

Cut to present times, among the yoyounger lot of heroes actor Naga Shaurya seems to be promising. While he already proved his mettle as lover boy, heartthrob of girls, Shaurya is leaving no stone unturned to win hearts of family audiences.

Shaurya’s immediate film Abbayitho Ammayi is youthful romance, his up next Kalyana Vaibhogame is complete family entertainer. Shaurya’s upcoming movies include Oka Manasu with Niharika Konidela, director Ramaraju and a multi-starrer Jo Achutananda with Nara Rohit, directed by Avasarala Srinivas.

It’s learnt that Oka Manasu is very intense, emotional, heart-drenching love story. At the same time, Jo Achutananda with Rohit too is different attempt. With all these four different films, Shaurya is slowly trying to position himself as a star who could do justice to romance and family films.

Given the good looks & acting prowess, Shaurya has that opportunity. Only thing is that he needs to plan well. Since all four films are lined up for release in 2016 is definitely a big year for him. Let’s wait and watch.

Apart from big budgeted films such as ‘Naannaku Prematho’, ‘Dictator’ and ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’, successful young hero Sharwanand’s ‘Express Raja’ is also hitting the cinemas for Sankranthi. While much noise is being made on other big films, ‘Express Raja’ appears to be the silent killer at the box office and is likely to emerge as the real Sankranthi film.

Sharwanand is riding high with the back to back successes of ‘Run Raja Run’ and ‘Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju’. He has aimed at a hattrick with ‘Express Raja’ at the moment and Sankranthi is the best platform for this young hero to achieve his goal. Also, hike in ticket rates and extra midnight shows in festival days will definitely do favour to the movie.

‘Express Raja’ movie’s audio was launched by Young Rebel Star Prabhas recently. Hilarious entertainment appears to be guaranteed as the glimpses of it is showcased in theatrical trailer of the film. Surabhi has romanced with Sharwanand in this Merlapaka Gandhi’s directorial venture.

Disputeless Hits Of 2015

Film trade is a chain. It involves producer – distributors / buyers- exhibitors and several other people at theatres who depend on the Film’s business at Box Office. Even if any one among them incurs loss due to a film, the movie can’t be called as dispute-less hit. For instance few distributors buy the film from producer and sells it off to other distributors for a high price. Though the movie collects well and the distributor who bought the film from other distributor fails to rake in profit, the movie can’t be termed as dispute-less hit. Even if the buyer recovers his total money and fails to get profit, the movie is a disputed hit.

In few other cases, producer might sell the film at deficit and if the film turns out to be big hit and gets huge profits to its distributors, actual producer won’t get benefited much. Kalyan Ram’s Pataas falls under this category as producer Kalyan Ram gained little whereas distributor Dil Raju made a big fortune.

While 2015’s first half is a big disappointment for Tollywood, it’s the second half that stands as winner. The latter half started with a bang, back to back giant hits- Baahubali, Srimanthudu, Bhale Bhale Magadivoi, Kumari 21 F and Raju Gari Gadi. Here is the list of top five hits in Telugu for 2015.

1. Baahubali: The Beginning

Expectations were sky high on this Prabhas and Rana starrer film before its theatrical release, since it was helmed by director SS Rajamouli who had made only blockbusters earlier. Despite reaching all the expectations and smashing all box office records, Baahubali made not just Telugus but also every Indian proud with critical applause here as well as in other countries for the visual grandeur and gripping narration.

2. Srimanthudu

This Mahesh Babu starrer was to clash with Baahubali, but the makers had postponed their film to offer maximum of theaters for the Rajamouli directorial. Srimanthudu opened to gigantic positive response and collections were equally massive. The concept of ‘village adoption’ was well-liked by all sections and the Koratala Siva directorial ended as second biggest grosser in Tollywood, only after Baahubali. Lead actors- Mahesh Babu, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and Rajendra Prasad’s performance, Siva’s direction, DSP’s music, R Madhie’s DOP were major highlights.

3. Bhale Bhale Magadivoy

Released with least expectations, since hero Nani’s previous movies were disasters, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy picked up slowly with optimistic mouth talk. In no time, the film was declared a super hit (sleeper hit). Maruthi made a clean entertainer for image makeover and he was appreciated for hilarious writing. Nani modulated his acting style, diction and body language to fit into the role of memory loss guy and his hard work was paid with super hit result. Lavanya Tripathi was other big asset, apart from Gopi Sunder’s mesmerizing music.

4. Kumari 21F

With bold, refreshing content, Sukumar’s maiden production venture Kumari 21F broke new ground in Tollywood. Barring criticism that it’s too bold to take it, audiences made Kumari a sleeper hit.

5. Raju Garu Gadi

After disaster Genius, many thought that Omkar is out of race. But surpassing it, Omkar’s second directorial Raju Gari Gadi managed to rake in moolah. Made on shoe-string budget, the film produced by Sai Korrapati was one of the five big hits (as the film collected very high compared to its budget). Though critics panned the film’s second half, RGG a ghost-comedy featuring Ashwin, Rajeev Kanakala, Chetan, won the hearts.

Again He Became The Savior!

There are no words to describe the share of burden 30 years industry Prudhvi is taking off late with his entries and hilarious performances in many films. Just like Brahmanandam, now we are witnessing Prudhvi as the only hope of success for half baked and medium quality treatment based films released in last three to six months.

From Boiling Star Babloo in ‘Loukyam’ to Future Star Siddhappa in ‘Bengal Tiger,’ now this is one more roaring performance from Prudhvi as Malle Pushpam Rama Rao in ‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ which actually escalated the scale of movie from an average to above average. Today, audiences are coming out from ‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ theaters just because of Prudhvi’s loudly written gut-busting act.

One line of ‘Koththa Dialogues Raayadaaniki Nenemainaa Kona Venkat Anukunnaav Raa’ has certainly connected effectively and this is a satirical dig at the weak form of Kona. Whatever, the result is reverberating and Prudhvi yet again became the savior. Hope, he continues with the same show in coming films too.

Anushka To Sizzle As House Wife in Singham 3

Share

It has been a very long time span we have been seeing Anushka in heroine oriented scripts with entire plot revolving around her. Apparently, she is the only face for Telugu and Tamil directors and producers to come up with safe female centric assignments. Enough is enough and there is a strong threat of Anushka becoming monotonous in these stereotyping.

Estimated the future very righty, Anushka is looking for a change now with upcoming film ‘Singham 3’ in Hari direction with Suriya as hero. As Cinejosh questioned few weeks ago on whether Anushka is going to marry at least in this third installment after those successful two in the series, here comes the answer.

Anushka is playing a house wife character in ‘Singham 3’ and she will be dressed most of the time in sarees while glamour portion is to be taken care by new entry Shruti Hasan into this successful series.

The dismal show of ‘Size Zero’ and audience disappointment with beggary look in ‘Bahubali’ will get a balance in ‘Singham 3’ with Anushka to sizzle in sarees.

Mumbai: Canadian porn star-turned-actress Sunny Leone has clarified that her forthcoming flick “Mastizaade” is “not a sex comedy, it’s an adult comedy”.

“I want to tell this to everyone that Mastizaade is not a sex comedy, it’s an adult comedy for adults. As far as the censor board is concerned… the board is doing their job and it’s our job to push boundaries and create something different,” the actress told IANS.

“…our country is ready to see these kind of content… though it’s an adult comedy, the story is very nice.” Directed by Milap Zaveri, the movie also features Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das among others.

Virat Kohli leads new dawn of Indian cricket

New Delhi: Indian cricket’s fortunes ebbed and flowed in 2015 with Virat Kohli successfully leading the national side in Tests and Mahendra Singh Dhoni appearing to be losing his midas touch, while in off the field drama. Shashank Manohar returned as the BCCI boss. Kohli, who had already taken charge of the Test team in December last year post Dhoni’s surprising exit after the Sydney game, led the Indian side with aplomb.

The Delhi batsman not only won his maiden Test as captain in his first full-fledged series as the leader of the Indian side in Sri Lanka but also went on to defeat the Islanders on home turf after 22 years post a 2-1 series win. But the four-match series was surrounded by pitch-talk after two games finished in under three days as Indian spinners created havoc in Mohali and Nagpur.

Though the BCCI, Indian management and captain Kohli played down the debate over turning pitches, the ICC did term the Jamtha track as “poor” and gave an official warning.

Controversy followed Indian cricket off the field as well when the board finally dethroned under-fire N Srinivasan as the ICC chairman and newly-elected BCCI president Manohar took charge of the post for the remaining period.

The decision to remove Srinivasan was taken at the BCCI’s 86th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai, virtually signalling the end of his hold over Indian cricket.

Cash to play crucial role in GHMC election

Hyderabad: Political parties fear they will have to rustle up as much between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 50 lakh per candidate for the GHMC elections. Most of the cash is meant for distribution among voters. The Election Commission’s expenditure limit for each of the 150 wards is Rs 2 lakh per candidate. “Distribution of cash in slums and other bastis is now the norm. Besides providing Rs 50,000 to Rs 1lakh odd to a local leader, a good number of voters will have to be paid between Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 per head, depending on candidate’s financial strength,” a senior Congress leader said.

Asked what could be cost for a serious candidate, he replied, “Minimum Rs 50 lakh”, adding “If the party arranges for publicity and media publicity, it could be about Rs 20 lakh.” A MIM leader said in the previous GHMC polls, a candidate in the old city had spent Rs 60 lakh and won. “He distributed chairs, tables, dining sets and household articles besides cash,” he said.

A TRS leader from Vikarabad said in a previous municipal election in the small town, candidates distributed Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per voter. “But there is no guarantee the voter will cast his vote for the candidate since he takes money from all,” he said.“Even educated people like teachers and others demanded money. Then there were caste groups which claimed support of 200-odd voters in return for cash,” he said.

Hiring people for campaigning too has become costly. “We have to pay at least Rs 300 besides hiring vehicles and paying for food. Only putting up posters or banners is not that effective anymore,” a TD leader said, adding “Paid news adds to the bill.”

Chennai airhostess commits suicide

Chennai: A 32-year old airhostess killed herself at her home at the Air India quarters in Meenambakkam Sunday evening. According to the police, no suicide note was found in the house, but parents allege that long hours and hectic work schedules led to the suicide. The deceased, Manpreet Pal, 32, had been working as an airhostess with Air India since 2007 and had met and married her co-worker, Anup Nair, 35, in 2012. Nair works as a technician with Air India and the couple has a two- year- old daughter.

Manpreet’s parents live close by, in Teacher’s Colony, which is where the couple would leave their child everyday when they went off to work. It was when Nair returned home with their daughter after picking her up from his in-laws’ house Sunday night when he found Manpreet hanging from the ceiling in their bedroom.

As on any regular work day, Nair had left at 2pm, dropping his daughter at his in-laws’ house while his wife was to report at 4.15 pm and board the Chennai-Muscat flight. When he returned to pick up his daughter, he found that his father-in law had injured himself, falling off his bike. After getting himself treated at a private hospital, Manpreet’s father Guru Pal Singh told Nair not to inform Manpreet of the incident as she was presumed to be at work.

When Nair returned home at 10 pm, he found the front door had been left ajar. Surprised, he looked for his wife and found the bedroom door locked. He called up her office to find out if she had left early, but Air India officials informed him that Manpreet had never turned up for duty and she had been absent from duty. Nair then broke open the door and found Manpreet had hanged herself inside the bedroom. The neighbours, hoping she was still alive, rushed her to the hospital but she was declared dead on arrival. The police did not find any suicide note to determine the reason behind Manpreet’s extreme step.

Manpreet’s parents said there no personal matters between husband and wife could have led to the suicide as the couple was very happy together. “We are Punjabi and our son-in law’s family hails from Kerala but we did not have any problem accepting their relationship. In their three years of marriage there was not a single fight,” said Guru Pal Singh. Singh said that his daughter would regularly complain about her hectic work schedule.

Nenokkadine Strategy For Nannaku Prematho

JR.NTR-Movie-Naannaku-Prematho-Release-Postponed1

Director Sukumar is following the same strategy that of 1 Nenokkadine for Nannaku Prematho audio release event. The much awaited audio launch ceremony of NTR and Rakul Preet Singh starrer will be screened live in several theaters across the Telugu states. The theaters to have ‘live streaming’ of the affair will be unveiled soon.

Nannaku Prematho audio will be released in a spectacular manner at Shilpa Kala Vedika on December 27th, means tomorrow, amid presence of the film cast, fans and other industry biggies. Sukumar thought of celebrating the event in much bigger way, so has planned live streaming in theaters.

It may be recalled that, for Mahesh Babu starred 1 Nenokkadine audio launch too, they went for live streaming in theaters and the response from fans as well as movie goers was overwhelming. Now, Sukumar is following the same strategy for Nannaku Prematho audio release function too.

There is having other reason for Sukumar doing this. Due to heavy crowds at such events, stampede occurred several times. During Baadshah audio launch, a die hard fan of NTR died owing to stampede. Hence, live streaming at theaters will stop few of fans coming to the audio launch venue. Good decision right!
