Two heroines dropped from Nikhil’s next
The makers of Nikhil’s next have finalized Avika Gor, Tapsee and Catherine Tresa as the heroines of the film. But now Tapsee and Catherine Tresa dropped from the film stating financial issues.
We are said that they are in talks with Hebah Patel to play one of the heroines. The third heroine hunt is still going on. The movie is reportedly a fantasy film and will be directed by Tiger fame VI Anand.
Nikhil’s last film, Shankarabharanam is a miserable flop at the box office. This comes after three back to back successes for the actor. So he is adamant to be back in winning ways with this new project.
Brahmotsam First Look Poster for New Year Eve
Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam is being canned in Ooty. The makers are canning an important scenes on Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Pranitha and other character artistes there.
The makers are planning to release to the first look poster of the film on January 1st as New Year eve Special. Plans are on to release the movie for April 29th. The makers have charted non-stop schedules to complete the shoot in time.
Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu fame Srikanth Addala is wielding megaphone for the film which has music by Mickey J Meyer. Potluri Vara Prasad is producing the film on his PVP Cinemas banner.
Nayantara turns item girl
Nayanthara is all set to do the first item song in her career and that too this item number is in Tamil where she enjoys super stardom. This Special Song is in Seenuramaswamy’s Dharmadurai which stars Vijay Sethupati.
Vijay Sethupati and Nayantara previously starred in hit film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. A source within the movie unit tells us that the song will be shot next week. Yesteryear actress Radhika will be seen as Vijay Sethupathi’s mother.
The movie shooting shooting is progressing in Theni. The movie is also the first action film of the director. On the other side, Nayantara recently signed a Telugu film, Babu Bangaram opposite Victory Venkatesh after a long time.
Majnu’s next stop – Rajahmundry
Naga Chaitanya’s Majnu, the remake of Malayalam blockbuster, Premam, had recently completed its first schedule in Vishakapatnam. The second schedule is being planned in Rajahmundry which will happen this month-end or early in January.
Majnu will be shot extensively in the exotic locales of Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Goa, Europe, Pollachi and Araku. Anupama Parameshwaran is the other heroine in the film. The third heroine is yet to be confirmed.
Buzz is that Nagarjuna will be seen in a little cameo while Victory Venkatesh will play the hero’s father in the movie. More details of this project later. Karthikeya fame Chandoo Mondeti is wielding megaphone for this remake venture.
Manchu Manoj chooses a newcomer for next!
Rock Star Manchu Manoj is always known to encourage new talent. However he worked with Senior directors for his last three films – Current Theega, Attack and Shaurya. However he gave a green signal to a new director for his next.
This film will be directed by a new comer Sagar Pasala and will have story and screenplay by others. Ramesh Puppala who previously produced films like Mirapakaay, Srimannarayana, Paisa and others under his Yellow Flowers banner, will be making a comeback with this film.
For the first time, Manchu Manoj will be working with Music director Thaman. The other cast and crew of the movie is being currently finalized. Manoj will shift to this project after the release of Shaurya.
Loafer First Weekend Collections
Mega Prince Varun Tej and Puri Jagannadh’s Loafer seem to be heading towards a failure. The movie which had registered biggest first day figure in the actor’s career, started slowing down from the second day itself.
Even the Weekend figures are not that great. The figures of the Noon and Matinee shows on today are event bad. Given that four films are releasing for Christmas weekend, the movie may not have any chances of revival. Here is the breakup of Loafer First Weekend Collections.

Deva Katta to direct Akhil?
Akhil Akkineni’s debut movie, Akhil – The Power of Jua ended up as a big disaster. The movie which had seen a pre-release business of 47 Crore but could not even manage to collect 20 Crore share at the box office.
All eyes are on his second project and the youngster is being very careful of deciding that. We are said that he reportedly liked a script narrated by Deva Katta however he is yet to give his nod.
He is in a dilemma because Deva Katta just delivered two back to back flops – Autonagar Surya and Dynamite. Giving a chance to a flop director when he himself is in a flop, will be very risky. So lets see what he decides finally!
