Yesteryear Superstar and veteran actor Krishna Ghattamaneni has been conferred with ANR National Award. Krishna will be conferred with the award at a glittering ceremony in Hyderabad on Dec 20th. Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and present Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah will be attending the event as its chief guest. Krishna has been adjudged with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the ANR foundation.

Along with Lifetime Achievement Award for Krishna Ghattamaneni, the awardees are called as ‘Nava Ratnas’ by ANR International Foundation which instituted ANR National Award in 2005. The Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) award recognizes film artistes whose body of work has made a lasting impact of outstanding artistic, cultural and commercial significance to the field of cinema.

The award was given annually to recognize people for their lifetime achievements and contributions to the Indian film industry. ANR National Award was first awarded to veteran Bollywood actor Dev Anand in 2006. The previous awardees include Shabana Azmi, Anjali Devi, Vyjayanatimala Bali, Lata Mangeshkar, K. Balachander, Hema Malini, Shyam Benegal, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Varun Tej who is going from strength to strength with each film is happy with the response he has been receiving for his performance in the film Loafer.However the young actor is upset about mega fans being constantly prodded by Ram Gopal Varma in the name of praising him. His father and Loafer director Puri Jagannadh have upset diehard fans of Pawan already.

Ram Gopal Varma is rubbing salt in the wound by stating that Pawan and Charan fans are spreading negative talk for Loafer. Although RGV does this fun it may hurt the sentiments of few sensitive fans that may permanently dislike Varun Tej for this. Varun Tej wanted this to stop but no one can apply breaks on Varma’s flow of tweets while he is in mood.

Ram Gopal Varma likes to take digs at Mega fans all the time. He keeps himself entertained and engaged by poking at them. Varun Tej is doing his best to be in the good books of Pawan and Charan fans, but Varma is messing it up beyond control.

Beating many big Bollywood movies, Rajamouli’s historical hit Baahubali stood as the most searched movie on Google in India in 2015. The movie not only emerged as the number one hit at box-office in India this year, it also beat Salman Khan’s Bhajrangi Bhaijan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo on search engine in terms of most searched key words in movies segment.

Baahubali was the most searched key word in India in movies, while Bhajrangi Bhaijan grabbed second place. Third and fourth positions went to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and ABCD respectively. Shankar’s magnum opus I was the fifth most searched movie in 2015.

The other big Telugu movie that everyone searched for is Mahesh Babu starrer Srimanthudu that stood at 10th place. According to Google, Baahubali’s photograph of Prabhas carrying Shivalingam on his shoulders was the most searched poster. Baahubali not only the most searched keyword, the movie’s reviews and news were the most seen pages on the web in India in 2015.

There are rumours all about Regina Cassandra and Sai Dharam Tej look at each other. Several media houses published this news after she is being spotted with him even in his other movie’s shooting locations. Finally she responded on them.

“Having worked here for six years, my friends joked about not getting linked to a co-star. So I felt happy when I heard the speculation about my relationship with Sai Dharam Tej. I finally feel like a celeb now,” she said. She even added further, “We are just good friends.

We worked together in two films and share a great chemistry onscreen. We enjoy working together. Having done two films in a row, it was just a matter of time before we got linked up. But unfortunately, there is no truth in the rumours that we are dating”.

Mass Maharaja Raviteja’s next project, Yevado Okadu was announced a long ago and the shooting was to begin in November. But the project did not begin till date. The movie shooting was now said to begin in January 20th.

Raviteja will be seen as a college lecturer in the film. The makers are planning to shoot non-stop till completion and will hit the screens in second half of 2016. Shyam who came to limelight with Kick, is turning baddie with this movie.

Kanche fame Pragya Jaiswal and Premam girl Anupama Parameshwaran are the heroines. Dil Raju will be producing the movie under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. More details of this project will emerge very soon.

The prestigious 150th project of Megastar Chiranjeevi is already confirmed to be a remake of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Kaththi. Earlier they have announced that Ram Charan and his mother Surekha will be producing the film under their new banner, Konidela Productions.

But now there is new producer joining them. Lyca Productions which is currently producing Rajinikanth and Shankar’s 2.0 will be the co-producer for this film. And VV Vinayak who just delivered a disaster with Akhil, will be wielding megaphone for this prestigious project.

He previously directed Chiranjeevi in a blockbuster Tagore which is also a remake. The movie will go on floors early next year and will release in the second half of 2016. More details on this project later.

Nara Rohit’s next, Thuntari has completed its shooting part and is currently busy in post production works.The movie is the remake of Tamil Super hit, Maan Karate being handled by Gundello Godari fame Kumar Nagendra.

A new girl, Latha Hegde from Newzealand is playing the female lead in the movie. Gundello Godari was a decent hit and Nagendra’s second film, Joru was a miserable flop and so he wants to make amends to that with this film success.

Maan Karate is a sports comedy which was penned by ace Tamil director, AR Murugadoss. Kabir Duhan Singh, who appeared in Jil, plays the villain’s role in this movie. Sai Karthik is the music composer.

Bollywood Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan’s today’s release, Dilwale had taken a good opening in both the Telugu States. However the word of mouth for the film is not at all encouraging. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s Bajirao Mastani also released today but the openings are not the great.

Interestingly, the public talk for the film is largely.Similar trend exists across the World with respect to both the films. On the other side, dubbing film, Nava Manmadhudu which did not release for the Noon shows today due to some last minute censor issues. The problems were cleared by Matinees and the shows are on.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam is being canned in Ooty. The makers are canning an important scenes on Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Pranitha and other character artistes there. Samantha is yet to join the movie shooting.

We are said that she will be joining the shoot in the next schedule of movie in January. The shooting will happen in Hyderabad in that schedule. The makers are planning to release the movie for April 29th.

Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu fame Srikanth Addala is wielding megaphone for the film which has music by Mickey J Meyer. Potluri Vara Prasad is producing the film on his PVP Cinemas banner.
