Firebrand actress Vijayashanti is continuing her hibernation after she lost in the 2014 general elections. Six months ago, she planned to return to the silver screen and start doing movies continuously as her contemporary megastar Chiranjeevi is planning to do the same.

Dasari Narayana Rao too was excited to start wielding the megaphone and make sequel to their blockbuster movie Osey Ramulamma.

After initial excitement, she reportedly put the project into the backburner and stopped interacting with the movie industry folks. Even Dasari Narayana Rao is said to have lost interest in directing Osey Ramulamma 2.

Grapevine has it that she is planning to be active in politics a year later or might seek Rajyasabha MP seat. Hence we won’t be seeing her on silver screen again anytime soon.

It’s a pattern being drawn in Tollywood from a long time that a hit film’s story will be followed by others for several days. Following Swamy Ra Ra’s hit, we have a flock of crime comedies hitting tinsel town. Unfortunately this year they are cursed by poor content and the result is obvious.

Mahesh’s brother in law Sudhir Babu is now coming coming up with another crime comedy “Bhale Manchi Roju” after doing one such stint early this year with “Mosagallaku Mosagadu”. Given the double-check, this year audiences haven’t got excited by crime comedies.

A horde of movies like Geddam Gang, Bandipotu, Dochay, Dongaata and Shankarabaranam are some popular crime comedies released this year, which are commercial flops. That worries Sudhir now, in case if he takes sentiments seriously.
