The unit is working hard by going on tours to boost the collections. But since the film was sold for high rates, the recovery is becoming difficult. ‘Size Zero’ released earlier too ended up as a disaster. Though the collections are slowly waning now, Kumari 21 F still managed to achieve super hit status. It is amid these failures that Bengal Tiger came to get super openings on Day 1.

Trade sources say this is the biggest first day opening in Raviteja’s career. There is criticism that Bengal Tiger is a routine fare, but the talk is that it suits the tastes of the mass audience. Will Bengal Tiger roar or not with this mixed talk? It will become clear by next week.

The Forbes India has released its 2015 Celebrity 100 list and once again, Superstar Mahesh Babu has topped the list among the southern film stars. Mahesh secured 36th rank out of 100 celebrities across the country and his earnings for the year 2015 have been revealed as a whopping Rs 51.5 crores.

Mahesh Babu placed himself in the 13th position among the 100 celebrities with highest income, while his popularity (read as fame) rank is 37. Mahesh bettered the national award winning Tamil star Dhanush, who stood next to him at the 78th spot. Mahesh has been constantly placing himself atop the league of leading southern stars for the last few years.

Mahesh earned this unbeatable feat thanks to the blockbuster success of his last release, Srimanthudu, which he co-produced. The film grossed more than 125 crores at the box-office and Mahesh Babu got a lion share from the profits. Apart from films, Mahesh has also been earning handsome paychecks by endorsing leading national brands like Thums Up, TVS and the recent Intex Mobiles.

Use Prabhas, If Pawan Is Not Available

The whole of Shankarabaranam unit went to Sardaar Gabbar Singh shooting spot in Ramanaidu Studios to make Pawan launch the trailer on YouTube. Now, unit of young hero Aadi’s upcoming flick “Garam” repeated the same.

They went to Prabhas house today evening to get the film’s first trailer launched. Probably after Baahubali, Prabhas is one dependable star for free publicity for anyone. It’s not exaggeration to say that he’s next to Pawan Kalyan in such craze.

Directed by writer Madhan, Garam features Aadi and red hot Adah Sharma in the leads. Of course when Prabhas is launching the trailer, that hot poster on the wall back of him is giving indications of what our hottie did with this film.

TCS Offers The Best To Its Chennai Employees

Recently, IT firm Cognizant has announced to donate Rs 260 crore ($40 million) to undertake relief and rehabilitation in flood hit Chennai. Now, India’s top software firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) allocates Rs 1,100 crore for providing interest free salary advances to its employees in Chennai.

N Chandrasekaran, CEO and Managing Director of TCS, said the company will offer interest free cash advances in the range of Rs one lakh and up to a maximum of equivalent to three months gross salary. Those who apply for the advance salaries will get the amount from the week of December 14.

Apart from this huge assistance for its employees, TCS has also set aside Rs 50 crore for direct allowance to its employees who have suffered wide-range damage to their homes. TCS will also reimburse medical and hospitalization expenses over and above its medical insurance claims.

“To decide on a course of action for the medium term, TCS is conducting a survey of dwellings in hamlets in and around Chennai for damage assessment. Development of a plan of action for rehabilitation and rebuilding of the surveyed areas is currently underway,” said TCS in a statement.

Twitter erupted in angry reactions after the Bombay high court acquitted superstar Salman Khan of killing a homeless man in a hit-and-run crash 13 years ago. The HC said a lower court had erred in finding Khan guilty of culpable homicide at the end of his trial in May, when he was subsequently sentenced to five years in prison.

The hashtag #SalmanVerdict was the top trend all of Thursday and was still trending on Friday morning. Internet giant Google has been unwittingly drawn into the discussion online because of its self-driving car project which it says will be road tested and available to the public by 2020.

Salman Khan, who is accused of drunkenly driving over pavement dwellers in September 2002 and killing one, was found not guilty by the High Court.Salman Khan, who will be 50 at the end of this month, was convicted of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and sentenced to five years in jail by a Sessions Court in May. The High Court later granted him bail pending an appeal and has now ruled that he cannot be convicted based on the evidence produced by the prosecution.

Legendary actor Kamal Haasan fired on Amma government for its failure in foreseeing the catastrophe and controlling the damage. Kamal also wondered where is all the tax payers’ money is going to. Kamal’s rants were strongly condemned by Amma’s loyal lieutenant Paneerselvam who lambasted him for not even contributing to the relief fund like other stars but still complaining.
