Almost all the biggies in film industry have made their heir see their career and future in film industry only. But only few of them managed to score big while their dads are legends. Other than Chiru’s son Charan, writer Salim Khan’s son Salman and Rishi Kapoor’s beta Ranbir Kapoor, kin and kith of other biggies like Amitabh Bachhan and director Dasari have failed big time to impress.

One such legendary director who is joining the league of Big B is none other than K Raghvendra Rao. After Anagananga O Dheerudu, his son Prakash has come up with Size Zero now but the film hasn’t done any miracle at box office. From Monday, collections are speaking downward trend. Grapevine has that Raghavendra Rao is highly upset with the way Prakash’s career has shaped up. Those who have heard this are advising KRR to pull a leaf from Amitabh Bachhan.

In the Bachhan household, Amitabh, wife Jaya and daughter in law Aishwarya have Padma awards but Abhishek and his sister Swetha have none. They might not have clicked in movies, but they have businesses, sports clubs and stake in some retail outlets that are earning them crores every year. Maybe KRR also should consider such business route for his son.

Pawan Kalyan’s latest film “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” shooting is going on at jet speed. As Pawan, his heroine Kajal and other unit members are camping in Gujarat, enjoying the winters there, fans here in Tollywood are enjoying each and every update coming from the sets.

As the film is coming out pretty well, with director KS Ravindra (Bobby) conceiving each scene very brilliantly, Pawan is said to be a happy man. While his creative team is embracing in the output, heroine Kajal and producer Sharat Marar are busy sharing interesting updates about the film.

Kajal is looking smoking hot in the movie as a special song is being filmed there in a royal palace in Vadodara. We hear that the unit will be shooting until December 8th in Gujarat and they will return to Hyderabad then.

Once their Gujarat saga gets wrapped, other heroines like Lakshmi Rai and Sanjana will also join the shoot. Meanwhile Devi Sri Prasad is said to be giving final touches to couple of other songs for the album of Sardaar Gabbar Singh. Watch this space for updates.

There is no bigger pressure than being a star kid in Tollywood and no one else but Raja Goutham knows it first hand. This son of star comedian Brahmanandam has been trying his luck in Tollywood ever since he debuted in films almost a decade ago. Goutham’s last film Basanthi also failed to push his career forward.

Now, Goutham is testing the waters once again with a crime comedy titled Vaade Veedu. The film will be directed by Ramesh Desena, a former associate of Gautham Menon. In a biggest scoop, the makers of the film have roped in Nara Rohith to play a crucial role.

As per the buzz, Nara Rohith will be playing a cop in this film and his role will not be a cameo but his presence will be felt throughout the film as he will be chasing Goutham, who plays a thief. The film will be launched in early next year once Nara Rohith is free from his ongoing projects.

Nikhil’s latest crime comedy, Shankarabharanam is all set for a grand release on December 4th. The actor who is already on a high with three back to back hits, is now eager to deliver fourth success with this film. In an interview to a lead Newspaper he revealed about the hard work went in to the film.

He said, “I spent 45 days in New York before the shooting of this film only to get in to the skin of the character. I play an NRI in the movie and so observed them from close quarters during my stay”. Nikhil pays a rich NRI in the film who is never been to India.

Kona Venkat has given story and screenplay. Kona had already revealed that the movie is a crime comedy with a Bihar backdrop and some incidents that he faced earlier this year have also acted as inspiration for few scenes.

Academician and champion of Dalit rights, Kanchi Ilaiah is no stranger to controversy. He has had his tiffs with right wing organizations by being at the forefront of activities like organizing beef festivals in Osmania University and through articles and columns of his. Participating in a discussion organized by the ‘Times of India’, Kanchi Ilaiah said that had Sardar Vallabhai Patel become the PM of India, India would have gone on the lines of Pakistan. “He (Patel) wouldn’t have allowed Ambedkar to write the Constitution. He was close to Hindu Mahasabha… Believers of Manusmriti would’ve written it. We would’ve gone on the lines of Pakistan…our democracy would have collapsed. But for the first 17 years…India would’ve been Pakistan,” Ilaiah said. Integration of 550 princely states into India is no mean feat and it was achieved by Sardar Patel.

Hyderabad, which Mr. Ilaiah calls a home, would have become a part of Pakistan or an independent nation but for Sardar Patel (Much to Kavitha’s chagrin). K Raghavendra Rao had made more than 100 movies as a director and he is regarded as one of the legends in Tollywood. His disciples like Rajamouli turned out to be most successful directors too. But unfortunately, his son is struggling to get a foothold as a director. One can now safely declare that Raghavendra Rao’s son K S Prakash Rao has delivered another dud with Size Zero as the collections for the first weekend of the movie are really low. While Anushka’s recent films have had staggering openings, Size Zero’s global collections for the first weekend are anything but superb.

Trade analysts say that producers will end up losing heavily. In the past, Prakash’s Anaganaga O Dheerudu which had Siddharth in the lead also failed miserably at the box office. Now, his second film has also met with the same fate. While his father and grandfather delivered many hits in Tollywood, Prakash is yet to make a name for himself.

While many producers are in queue to make movies with Trivikram Srinivas, one of the leading directors in Tollywood, Trivikram himself has other plans. He is not too keen to move out of the comfort zone he has with the Haarika Haasine Creations, the production house that has been making movies with the director. Going by the reports, Trivikram will also be directing their next film and he is currently directing a film for them.

Trivikram has reportedly signed a film that will star Suriya which will also be produced by Radha Krishna of Haarika Haasine Creations.The banner has so far produced three movies and all of them have been directed by Trivikram. Right now, A… Aa starring Nithin is on the floors. There have been rumours that the director is also a partner in the production house. Since he hasn’t moved out of the production house, the rumours have gathered momentum of late.
