Akhil overseas distribution rights were bought for four crore by the buyers that expected the film to be a huge blockbuster. Akhil turned out to be a nightmare to them on many levels. The film was released in more than 120 screens across US but it only managed to collect around 170K dollars. Distributors have spent so much on the publicity and theater rents that they had to pay additional amount to that of gross collected from the theaters. The expenditure on the movie publicity and theater rents cost extra 10 lakhs more than the share collected at the box office. This means Akhil distributor’s share in overseas is minus 10 lakh rupees!

This will go down as epic disaster for not even collecting single NP share from the box office in spite of the buyers bet of 4 crore on it! Akhil has turned out to be disastrous for every buyer that invested in it. Overseas buyers were left shell shocked with its performance and it is believed that Nagarjuna gave assurance to them by offering his next movies for fairly less amount than the market price.

Busy with back-to-back promotions, busy bee Anushka Shetty is going to join Baahubali: The Conclusion from December. After this, Anushka will be acting in Singham 3 which in turn is also a sequel. “My first priority is Baahubali sequel. I have to shed weight and join the shoot. The shoot was supposed to happen before. But Baahubali team is concerned about me, my health and deferred the shoot,” said

Anushka gained 20 kilos for her role in Size Zero. Doesn’t she feel risky? “I did proper research before gaining weight. All I did is for my role, my film.”

Industry big wigs have been heaping praises on Anushka these days and calling her as Vidya Balan of Telugu film industry. How does she take them? “It’s good to hear about such comments. Vidya Balan is a talented actress. But I’m not positioning myself as her. In fact, I won’t strategise or plan my career, things. They just happen. In a highly appreciable feat, the sultry Punjabi beauty Rakul Preet Singh is all set to wow her fans by dubbing her own voice in Telugu in her upcoming film Nannaku Prematho. Apparently, Sukumar was quite impressed with Rakul’s determination to learn and speak Telugu and encouraged her to dub for herself in Nannaku Prematho.

Sukumar sir kept telling me “you can do it”, blushed the actress. Rakul impressed the director with her test dubbing and she has already started dubbing for her scenes in the film. In Nannaku Prematho, Rakul plays a London-based Telugu girl so her language will suit her Telugu diction.

However, Rakul says she has to be extremely cautious while dubbing for her part since talking and dubbing are entirely different. Rakul’s challenge is to maintain good diction while dubbing. Rakul already feels at home shooting for Telugu films in Hyderabad and revealed that she instructed her staff to speak  to her only in Telugu, revealing how she mastered the language.

Big eyed beauty Kajal Agarwal is known for her typical love towards remunerations. There were times where she signed a movie only when the pay packet is nearly 2 crores. Is there any connection between this demand and her desires?

“During my college days, my mom used to give me 3000 rupees for a month, but I used to spend it in a week. As my mom refused to give a penny more than that, I’ve learned to save money for total of 4 weeks rather spending it in a week.

Young Tiger NTR’s Nannaku Prematho is turning out to be a wholesome package for fans. The latest add-on for this wholesome package is that music director Devi Sri Prasad had revealed that he is trying to make the Young Tiger a song in the film.

NTR is a very good singer. Previously he had rendered chartbuster songs in in films like Yamadonga, Kantri, Adhurs and Rabhasa. However this will be possible only if the time permits in this busy schedule.

The makers are targeting to complete the entire shoot will be completed by December third week and the audio launch event will happen after the Spain schedule. Nannaku Prematho will release on January 8th or 13th but that will depend on the release date of Dictator.

Rajamouli’s mega-budgeted Baahubali 2 is yet to go to the film locations but one of the producers claims that the movie would hit the screens in 2016 as promised earlier. He says that it would release towards the end of 2016. But sources close to the directorial team confirm that the movie can only release in 2017, not next year as too much of work is initiated for the sequel in fresh manner. The shooting schedules of the movie might be completed next year but the film would not be released in 2016, the source adds.

It is not known why the producer is telling the national media that it would release next year but going by the past experiences regarding Rajamouli’s movies, the director always postpones his movies by at least 6 months from the first announced release date.

There is also no clarity about the addition of new cast members to the movie though Rajamouli made it clear that the script and screenplay was changed and expanded further after the mammoth success of the beginning of Baahubali.

Devi Sri Prasad is on a high with the response that Kumar 21F has been receiving. DSP did this film to show gratitude towards his close friend and director Sukumar. As per Sukumar the rock star didn’t charge a penny for scoring music to this film. DSP has given memorable score for Kumari that is playing huge role in the success of the movie.

DSP has two big films lined up next year and he is confident about both the movies. Devi Sri Prasad is particularly elated about how the music for Sardar Gabbar Singh is shaping up.He said that Pawan Kalyan is so impressed with a romantic number he scored for the film. “Pawan Kalyan sent me a very big text message appreciating my work. I am overwhelmed by his gesture,” DSP said.

Devi Sri Prasad says that the music for Nannaku Prematho will be among his best works. Both Nannaku Prematho and Sardar Gabbar Singh will become big hits predicts Devi Sri Prasad who is currently enjoying the top place among Tollywood music directors.
