Kollywood records have come down like a pack of cards when Thala Ajith, the Kind of Tamil Cinema Openings has hit the Box Office very strong with his latest outing ‘Vedalam.’ As per official reports, ‘Vedalam’ released on November 10 worldwide in direction of ‘Siruthai’ Siva had a stupendous opening on first day collecting Rs.16 Crores in Tamil Nadu alone.

This is biggest ever record for any Tamil movie including that of Rajinikanth’s past blockbuster films. The point which needs a special mention is ‘Vedalam’ achieved this feat in front of Kamal Hasan’s flick ‘Thoonga Vanam’ released on the same day. Despite both the big projects shared equally good number of theaters in between themselves, Diwali proved to be a colorful festival for ‘Vedalam.’

The complete mass action commercial entertainer fully satisfied the Fans with songs, action and superb dialogues. Ajith’s last films like, ‘Billa 2, Yennai Arindaal, Arrambam’ also stood as record openers during those release times. Let us see, whether ‘Vedalam’ will have a Telugu remake or a dubbed version is in offing?

Universal Hero Kamal Hassan will be in Vijayawada today according to some reports. He will be meeting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu this afternoon they say. While the exact reason for this meeting is not known, speculations are on that Kamal Hassan may start a sound mixing studio in Vijayawada or Vishakapatnam.

Kamal may be discussing with Chandrababu about the possibilities and incentives provided to investors here. Kamal is also planning other studio in Chennai. These studios will have international standard sound mixing facilities.

There are no proper such facility in either cities, film makers usually go to Mumbai or abroad for them. Kamal Hassan himself goes to Los Angeles for the Sound mixing of all his films.

Akkineni scion, Akhil had announced his arrival with bang with his first film, Akhil itself. The movie had taken a sensational opening on its opening day with figures of some areas on par with that of star hero films.

The mixed talk and rains in few areas of Andhra Pradesh did not deter the collections. The film was immensely helped by Diwali holiday effect and the movie made full use of it.

Even before he could even start shooting for the second part of the epic magnum opus Baahubali The Conclusion, buzz is already high on Rajamouli’s next film. While some say that Rajamouli’s next will be a grand celluloid version of Mahabharata, recent reports suggest that Jakkanna’s next will be a 1000 crore spectacle titled Garuda.

In a latest TV interview on the occasion of Diwali, Rajamouli was asked if he is ready to shoot Mahabharata as his next project now that he is being hailed for his brilliance in the monstrous Baahubali. To this, the ever modest Rajamouli replied saying that Baahubali is a small drop when compared to Mahabharata.

The master perfectionist further added that he is not skilled enough yet to make Mahabharata as his next film and that he will need more time to gain expertise in learning the technicalities to make Mahabharata the way he wants to.

Well, one thing Rajamouli made clear with his candid statement is that Mahabharata will surely be an out of the world cinematic experience whenever it releases.

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and its Telugu version, Prema Leela is hitting the marquee today. The movie has got a thunderous opening in Hindi heart land.

People who have watched the film say there are very close resemblances between the film and Nagarjuna’s super hit movie, King directed by Srinu Vaitla. Some even say it is a copied version of King with minor changes to the backdrop.

Prema Leela released in record 350 screens in both the Telugu states, highest ever for a Telugu dubbed film. Mega Power Star Ram Charan had dubbed his voice for Salman Khan’s character in the film but that did not excite Mega fans. The openings of Prema Leela are very dull.
