Brutal Terror: 200 Students Shot Dead By ISIS

Share

brutal

Following the ever growing brutal atrocities by the world’s most dreaded terrorist organisation, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the world’s super powers like Australia, Russia and France have been supporting the Syrian government in its fight against the ISIS.

Irked by this external powers curtailing their dominance, ISIS unleashed its terror yet again and resorted to a shocking bloodbath. In a heart-wrenching testimony to its brutal atrocities, the ISIS released its latest video in which it shot nearly 200 innocent school students to death by the River Tigris.

The terrorists captured the teenage students from various schools in the areas that are under their captive and shifted the students to deserted location, where they mercilessly tied the students’ hands an shot them in their heads.

Most of the students were seen pleading the terrorists to free them but around 12 masked terrorists took turns to shoot the students and throw their dead bodies in the River Tigris as the river turned red with blood. This massacre is termed as the second deadliest in ISIS’ history, after the gunning down of nearly 1,700 soldiers in the past. The video was uploaded by an ISIS terrorist from Yemen.

Nandi Awards: Who Is Ready To Give?

Share

nandi

Since 2012, there are no Nandi Awards being given to Telugu cinema talents. For 2011, Sri Rama Rajyam walked away with a Swarna Nandi (Gold Nandi) being ‘Best Feature Film’ and later no film got that honours. That’s the combined effect of partition of Andhra Pradesh and newly formed governments showing least interest in Film Industry.

Awards are like energy boosters to actors who have won and others who want to win them. Not just for actors, every technician gets excited by these appreciations and honours. Post the division of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Nandi Awards are totally stopped.

Sometime back, rumours started doing rounds that AP Government will as usual continue with Nandi Awards, while Telangana Government is all set to give new Lotus Awards.

Finally a representation from both Telugu Film Industry and Telangana Film Chamber have requested Telangana government to revive Nandis. But only if Telangana government honours with these awards, it might sound unethical.

So, what’s the mega plan to continue this Nandi tradition that started in 1964? Some say, both AP and T governments should unite and collectively give these awards. Not a bad idea, but who will first make the move with this proposal is something we have to wait and watch.

Warangal campaign in top gear

t harish rao_0_0_0_0_5_2

WARANGAL: The ruling TRS seems to be very confident about the party candidate Pasunoori Dayakar’s victory in Warangal bypoll. According to irrigation minister, T. Harish Rao, no party is in a position to give enough competition to the TRS. He along with deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy, Rajya Sabha member Gundu Sudha Rani, MLA Konda Surekha, Konda Murali campaigned in Desaipet on Monday. Addressing the people, Mr Harish Rao said TRS will easily win the byelection and that other opposition parties could not even find a local candidate to contest the election. “There is no doubt about TRS victory here in Warangal. Other parties are in the fray just for namesake. No other government has done what the TRS government has done so far for the farmers. The government waived off farmers’ loans to the tune of 54 per cent. The opposition parties are unnecessarily blaming the TRS on the farmers’ issues.

The people understand that it is the Central government which has failed to increase the MSP for the cotton farmers. The Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao chose a common man like Pasunoori Dayakar to contest for the MP seat. The people will surely vote for a local and true Telangana fighter instead of the outsiders the opposition parties have sent to this contest,” he said.

Dattatreya seeks transparency:

Accusing the ruling TRS for not maintaining transparency in governance of the state, Union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya questioned the state government why there is no implementation of the projects sanctioned by the central government in the state. He said the people have started turning against the TRS governance. He demanded transparency in the development and programmes of the government like Water Grid and Mission Kakatiya. He said he suspects misuse of power by the ruling party in the ensuing byelection and appealed to the State Election Commission to ensure that unbiased elections will be conducted in Warangal. He blamed the TRS government for the distress among the farmers as the government failed to address their issues. “The Chief Minister is altering the designs of irrigation projects unilaterally. The opposition parties were not even allowed to question the government,” he said.

People will not forget YSR: Roja

YSRC leader Roja campaigned in Warangal on Monday along with party’s MP candidate Nalla Surya Prakash. Her campaign began at Raghunathpalli and covered Station Ghanpur, Zaffergadh, Wardhannapet, Mam-noor, Kazipet and Hasanparthy. Addressing the gathering at Raghunathpalli, she said that people will not forget the welfare schemes introduced by late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and that Nalla Surya Prakash should be elected as the MP for the benefit of the people. “It is time for this corrupt government to start packing. This government has no place for women. People should vote for YSRC for development,” she said.

Apache deal, a boost to ‘Make in India’

Share

Apache attack helicopters_0_0_0_0_0_0_0
Hyderabad: Boeing said its joint venture with Tata Advanced Systems would “co-produce aerostructures and pursue integrated systems development opportunities…. to produce Apache fuselages.” It said the deal would accelerate “momentum for ‘Make in India’.” The Modi government had in September last signed a $2.5bn deal to buy 37 military helicopters from Boeing – 22 Apache attack helicopters and 15 Chinooks – to replace ageing Soviet-era aircraft.

Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems on Monday announced the joint venture to manufacture aerostructures for aircraft and collaborate on integrated systems development opportunities in India. The JV will initially create a manufacturing centre of excellence to produce aerostructures for the AH-64 Apache and will compete for additional manufacturing work packages across Boeing platforms, both commercial and defence. Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems intend to grow the JV partnership with a focus on opportunities to collaborate on development and selling of integrated systems. “This partnership will capitalise on India’s industrial capability, innovation and talent to contribute to Boeing’s long-term competitiveness, and position us for future growth in the global marketplace,” said Chris Chadwick, CEO of Boeing Defence, Space & Security. “It is a demonstration of our commitment to further accelerate our partnership with one of the world’s fastest growing economies,” Boeing said in a statement.

“The agreement to establish a JV will propel the growth of the Indian aerospace sector by leveraging the world-class competencies of TASL and its supplier eco-system, as well as provide access to India’s world-class manufacturing capability, skilled talent and competitive cost structures,” said S. Ramadorai, chairman, Tata Advanced Systems. “Over the last 12 months, we have doubled our sourcing from India and are committed to continue that journey,” said Mr Pratyush Kumar, president, Boeing India. “Our commitment was demonstrated by Boeing chairman Jim McNerney’s presence at the recently concluded aerospace Innovation Summit in New Delhi and this JV is a clear example of Boeing’s long-term commitment to Make in India,” said Mr Sukaran Singh, MD and CEO, Tata Advanced Systems.

TASL is one of the select few private sector companies in India undertaking manufacturing and assembly of both aircraft and helicopters. Boeing and Tata group companies have established partnerships in India to manufacture aerostructures for Boeing’s commercial and military aircraft. Tata Advanced Materials has delivered composite panels for the power and mission equipment cabinets and auxiliary power unit door fairings for the P-8I long-range maritime surveillance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft. TAL Manufacturing Solutions is manufacturing complex floor beams out of composite materials for the Boeing 787-9, the most modern aircraft. It has also provided ground support equipment for the C-17 Globemaster III strategic airlifter.
