Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday questioned Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as to why he was not responding on CBI interrogation.Bhatti said the Congress would approach the Supreme Court demanding that the government order an inquiry into the PF scam.

Bhatti questioned KCR as to how he could continue in the Chief Minister post when he (KCR) had sacked then Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah on the corruption charges. “Does the same rule applied in case of Rajaiah won’t applicable to KCR?”, he asked. He also asked KCR to tell whether he would resign or he will punish himself. He also asked KCR to open his mouth on CBI inquiry.

Stating that KCR dismissed Rajaiah by giving leaks to the media with regard to Rajaiah’s alleged irregularities, Bhatti asked KCR supporters, who say they would not keep quiet if anyone criticised the Chief Minister, as to why they were not opening their mouths. He alleged that the KCR family members were looting the resources in Telangana State.

New Delhi: Amid reports that it has sealed three border trade points with Nepal, India on Monday said none of these have been closed.

“We have not issued any directions to our field units to shut down any border crossing points. None of the points have been closed by us,” SSB Director General B D Sharma told media when asked if the border points have been shut by them.

Reports from Nepal said that India closed three border trade points with Nepal and restricted movement at another crossing after an Indian national was killed in police firing during Madhesi protests against Nepal’s new Constitution.

“There have been reports of violence on the other side and we believe because of the prevailing law and order situation in Nepal the movement of vehicles and other traffic has been affected,” Sharma said.

The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) guards the 1,751 km long frontier with Nepal.

Sharma said though the situation on the border is “tense” his personnel are keeping an effective vigil. “We are monitoring the situation very closely in coordination with Nepalese security forces and agencies,” he said.

It’s official now. The Greater Hyderabad Muncicipal Elections (GHMC) will be held in Janauary 2016. The Telangana government on Monday submitted an affidavit in the Hyderabad High Court stating that it will complete GHMC elections by January 31, 2016.The Telangana government sought time till January 31 on the grounds of delay in correction in voter lists, new voter enrollments and delimitation of wards.

The High Court directed the Telangana government to meet the deadline of January 31, 2016.

The court was hearing a petition on the delay in conducting GHMC elections. Responding on the government’s plea, the court directed the government to complete all arrangements by December 15, 2015 and complete the election process by January 31.

There’s an old saying – there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. Proving it right again, arch rivals Revanth Reddy and KCR are likely to call for truce. If reports are anything to go by, Revanth would soon be meeting KCR personally and likely to invite him for his daughter’s wedding that is scheduled in the next month.

Buzz is there is something beyond just inviting KCR for his daughter’s marriage and sources say there is a big political strategy behind this. Apparently, TDP leaders want to sort out differences with TRS and even Revanth is said to be in favour of it.

Though Revanth had made serious allegations against KCR and even stated on several platforms that he will not spare KCR and his family after he was caught red-handed in the sensational cash-for-vote scandal during MLC election, latest is that Revanth seems to have soften his stand and decided to befriend KCR as the vote-for-note is more or less solved.

However, it’s heard that the dynamics started changing after KCR attended Amaravati inauguration ceremony. Now that Naidu, KCR become friends, TDP leaders too suggested Revanth to offer olive branch to KCR to which Revanth seem to have changed his mind and agreed in principle. Also, TRS leaders too are in favour of this bonding between KCR and Revanth.

Before this, Sania and Martina had won eight titles (Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Wimbledon, US Open, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Beijing) and finished runner-up just once (Rome – falling to WTA Rising Stars Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic).

Visakhapatnam: Heavy rains pounded various parts of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, particularly the north coastal districts, due to an embedded cyclonic circulation over the North Bay of Bengal coupled with the intensifying of northeast monsoon.

Several bridges in the Agency areas in north coastal Andhra Pradesh were said to have been washed away, cutting access to villages. The downpour brought normal life to a halt in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. Hill streams were in full flow in Paderu, Araku, Pedabayalu and Munchingput mandals, and were flowing over some low level bridges.

While Visakhapatnam received 15 cm rainfall on Sunday, Anakapalli (Visakhapatnam), Tuni (East Godavari) and Denkada (Vizianagaram) registered more than 9 cm rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Close on the heels of by-election for Warangal Lok Sabha, cold war is back in the incumbent TRS. The one-upmanship of KTR and Harish Rao over each other is expected to be a major stumbling block for the TRS in the poll and expected to play spoilsport for the ruling party whereas the same might help the opposition leaders.

Known as senior leader and poll strategist Harish Rao failed in getting ticket for his follower Errolla Srinivas for the Warangal by-poll whereas IT Minister KTR’s protege Dayakar has been named as the party candidate. With his the differences between the duo, which were buried under the carpet, have come to the light yet again.

On other hand KCR has made half of his cabinet colleagues as in-charges for the assembly constituencies under Warangal Lok Sabha constituency and Harish Rao was made incharge for Warangal East assembly constituency whereas his son KTR has been chosen as incharge for Warangal West constituency.

Since Harish was disappointed that his follower didn’t get ticket and his opinion wasn’t given importance, he is now sulking and staying away from party meetings. Harish camp is said to be non-cooperating to the election campaign of the TRS thus bringing headache to KCR.TRS leaders are hoping that KCR would soon resolve the issue amicably if not it might affect the winning prospects of the ruling party candidate.
